Adolescent mental health is an important issue because adolescence is a developmental stage that is vulnerable to psychological disorders. This study aims to identify parenting styles, describe mental health conditions, and analyze the relationship between parenting styles and adolescent mental health at SMP Negeri 4 Denpasar. The research used a quantitative cross-sectional design with a sample of 190 students. The instruments utilized were a parenting style questionnaire and a mental health assessment. Data were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that most parents applied a permissive parenting style, with 111 respondents (58.4%), and a majority of students were in the at-risk mental health category, with 94 respondents (49.5%). The Spearman rank test produced a p-value of 0.014 and an r-value of 0.178, indicating a significant relationship between parenting style and mental health among adolescents at SMP Negeri 4 Denpasar, although the strength of the correlation was very weak. This study highlights the importance of appropriate parenting in supporting adolescent mental health and the need for psychological support interventions in schools

Adolescents are an age group vulnerable to stress due to academic, social, and emotional pressures that can lead to risky behaviors such as alcohol abuse. Poorly managed stress is often a major factor in alcohol use as a negative coping mechanism. This study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and alcohol abuse among adolescents in Banjar Sala, Bangli Regency. The study design used a quantitative descriptive correlational approach with a cross-sectional approach and involved 159 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) to measure stress levels and the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) to assess alcohol abuse. Data analysis used the Spearman Rank test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that most respondents had moderate stress levels (58,5%), and the highest category of alcohol abuse was risky use (36,5%). The statistical test produced a p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05) with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.625, indicating a strong positive relationship between stress levels and alcohol abuse. These findings support that stress plays a significant role in increasing the risk of alcohol consumption in adolescents. Therefore, preventative measures are needed through mental health education, stress management training, and increased social support so that adolescents can manage stress adaptively without using alcohol as a negative coping mechanism

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem in toddlers that remains a major concern, especially in developing countries. This condition is caused by long-term malnutrition and impacts linear growth disorders, increased risk of illness, and impaired cognitive and motor development in children. Determinants of stunting include a history of low birth weight (LBW), a history of toddler nutritional intake, maternal nutritional intake during pregnancy, and family clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS). This study aims to determine the determinants of stunting in toddlers in Melaya Village. This study used a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. Respondents numbered 85 toddlers selected using probability sampling techniques. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed univariately. The results showed that most toddlers did not have a history of LBW (91.8%), the history of toddler nutritional intake was in the adequate category (69.4%), maternal nutritional intake during pregnancy was mostly in the ≤8 category (81.2%), and family PHBS was mostly in the good category (63.5%). These findings indicate that fulfilling nutrition from pregnancy to toddlerhood and the implementation of family PHBS play an important role in supporting toddler growth. The conclusion of the study shows that the determinants of stunting incidence in toddlers in Melaya Village are mostly in the sufficient to good category, so that it can be a basis for efforts to prevent stunting through improving nutrition and healthy family lifestyles.

Stroke is a major cause of disability that can reduce patients’ level of independence in performing activities of daily living. Post-stroke conditions require continuous support, particularly from family members as the closest support system. Optimal family support is expected to assist the recovery process and enhance patients’ independence. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between family support and the level of independence among post-stroke patients at Tabanan Regional General Hospital. This study employed a correlational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 78 post-stroke patients selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a family support questionnaire and a patient independence questionnaire, and were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that the majority of respondents received moderate family support, accounting for 41 respondents (52.6%). Most post-stroke patients had a moderate level of dependency, with 38 respondents (48.7%). The Spearman correlation analysis indicated a significant relationship between family support and the level of independence among post-stroke patients, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.562 and a p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05). Better family support was associated with a higher level of patient independence. The conclusion of this study demonstrates that there is a significant relationship between family support and the level of independence among post-stroke patients. Therefore, family involvement should be optimized as an integral part of post-stroke care and rehabilitation programs

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease with a high prevalence that increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure. Hypertension control is influenced by patients' ability to manage their condition, which is closely related to their level of knowledge. This study aimed to describe the level of knowledge of patients with hypertension regarding hypertension management in the working area of UPTD Puskesmas II West Denpasar. The study employed a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 50 respondents were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 15 questions and analyzed using univariate analysis. The results showed that the majority of respondents were aged 40–50 years (52%), female (58%), had completed senior high school education (42%), and were unemployed (66%). Most respondents demonstrated a good level of knowledge (98%), while 2% had a moderate level of knowledge. It can be concluded that the level of knowledge among patients with hypertension was generally good. Therefore, this should be maintained through continuous health education to support optimal hypertension control.

Patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing long-term hemodialysis are exposed to sustained physical, psychological, and spiritual stressors that may adversely affect their adaptive capacity or resilience, thereby necessitating a comprehensive care approach that extends beyond clinical management to encompass holistic well-being. This cross-sectional correlational study examined the association between spiritual well-being, psychological well-being, and resilience among 99 hemodialysis patients at RSI Sultan Agung Semarang selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the FACIT-Sp-12, Psychological Well-Being Scale, and Connor–Davidson Resilience Scale and analyzed using the Gamma test. Most participants demonstrated moderate spiritual well-being (60.6%), high psychological well-being (88.9%), and good resilience (75.8%). Significant positive associations were found between spiritual well-being and resilience (r = 0.919; p = 0.001) and between psychological well-being and resilience (r = 0.903; p = 0.001). These results suggest that spiritual and psychological well-being are key factors associated with resilience in patients undergoing hemodialysis, underscoring the importance of integrating spiritual and psychological interventions into nursing care to strengthen patients’ ability to cope with long-term treatment.

Toddlerhood is a golden period that requires optimal growth and development stimulation. However, child development disorders in Indonesia still reach around 18% and SDIDTK coverage is only 70.8%, so maternal knowledge is an important factor in shaping attitudes towards stimulating children's growth and development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between maternal knowledge levels and attitudes towards stimulating growth and development in toddlers at ABA Jetis IV Kindergarten. The method used in this study was an analytical quantitative design using a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 47 mothers with children aged 1-5 years, selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected using a validated knowledge and attitude questionnaire and analyzed using the Spearman Rank test (α < 0.05). The results showed that 87.2% of mothers had a good level of knowledge, with 61.7% showing a good attitude toward stimulation. The Spearman Rank correlation test indicated a significant relationship between the mothers' level of knowledge and their attitude towards stimulation of growth and development of 0.007 (p<0.05) with a correlation coefficient (0.385), which means that there is a relationship between the mothers' level of knowledge and their attitude towards stimulating the growth and development of toddlers at ABA Jetis IV Kindergarten with a low degree of relationship. The suggestion for future researchers is to expand the sample size and add other variables that may potentially influence children's growth and development stimulation attitudes.

Anemia remains a public health problem among adolescent girls, including in Sleman Regency, with a prevalence of 14.43% in 2024, despite the coverage of Iron Supplement Tablet (IST) consumption reaching 95.03%. This condition indicates that the high coverage of IST distribution has not been fully accompanied by adequate knowledge among adolescent girls regarding correct and appropriate IST consumption practices. Therefore, more effective and engaging health education efforts are needed to improve adolescent girls’ understanding of IST consumption as an early preventive measure against anemia. This study aims to determine the effect of flashcard-based education on knowledge of IST consumption among adolescent girls at SMP Negeri (State Junior High School) 1 Godean. This study employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 43 eighth-grade female students selected through simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a knowledge questionnaire administered before and after the flashcard-based educational intervention. The results showed an increase in adolescent girls’ knowledge levels following the intervention. A significant difference in knowledge was observed before and after the education, with a p-value of 0.002 (p < 0.05), indicating that flashcard-based education had a significant effect on knowledge of Iron Supplement Tablet consumption. In conclusion, flashcard media can be utilized as an alternative health education tool in schools to support anemia prevention efforts from adolescence.
