Abstract

Abstrak Modul thermoelectric yang diaplikasikan pada kompor merupakan sebuah alternatif untuk menghasilkan listrik dari perbedaan suhu dengan prinsip seebeck, namun perbedaan bahan bakar pada kompor mempengaruhi luaran listrik yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh penggunaan variasi bahan bakar terhadap performa modul thermoelectric dalam penerapan pada kompor untuk menghasilkan listrik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan delapan modul thermoelectric tipe SP 1848 27145 SA yang diapit oleh aluminium setebal 8mm pada sisi panas dan water block pada sisi dingin, kemudian ditempelkan pada dinding kompor tungku. Percobaan dilakukan dengan membakar tiga jenis bahan bakar secara bergantian yaitu arang kayu asam, briket batok kelapa, dan batubara dengan berat yang sama yaitu 300 gram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa arang kayu asam merupakan bahan bakar yang paling baik digunakan dengan luaran daya modul thermoelectric sebesar 8.91 W, diikuti oleh briket batok kelapa dengan luaran sebesar 1.04 W dan batubara sebesar 0.96 W.Kata Kunci : Modul Thermoelectric, Kompor Tungku, Bahan Bakar

Abstract

Three-dimensional (3D) imaging technology for computer-assisted construction planning of a product through a simulation process is now having a very positive impact in helping to improve the construction results of a product. The honeycomb shape has better strength in accepting constant and stable loads and has a lighter structure. Aluminum honeycomb using the sandwich construction method was analyzed by simulation using Ansys software in this research based on 3 variations in hexagonal cell geometry due to differences in the applied static load. The influence of the hexagonal honeycomb cell geometry shows a contribution to the deformation capability of the material at varying load angles, namely an increase of 100% at a load angle of 60° and a higher spike of around 130% for a load angle of 90°. Variations in the hexagonal honeycomb geometry still have an impact on increasing material capability. of 128% in the 6 mm hexagonal cell model with a load angle of 90°. The geometric intensity of the honeycomb hexagonal cell produces expansion values respectively in material deformation and equivalent stress based on the load angle of 15% and 35%.

Abstract

Amplang is a traditional snack typical of East Kalimantan which is made from fish as the main ingredient. Innovation was carried out by adding other ingredients to obtain more attractive flavor variations and color appearances. The manual manufacturing process relies on the speed of human labor. The aim of the research was to obtain a modern amplang processing tool with a mechanical system. The machine was designed using AutoCAD, made from a 4x4 cm angle iron frame, the dough mixing chamber used a meat grinder. Initially the meat grinder was rotated by hand in this research, replaced with an electric motor, while to increase the torque, the motor speed was reduced using a reducer gear box and pulley and V belt. The results obtained in the process speed for 1 kg of dough have decreased from initially 10-15 minutes to 6-7 minutes, There was an increase of 40%. The electric motor drive source with a power of 0.5 Horse Power, while the cost of purchasing materials and tools was Rp 5,237,000 (five million two hundred thirty-seven thousand rupiah), and the working process took 112 (one hundred twelve) working hours

Abstract

The The main objective of this study is to analyze the implementation of quality control in the process, types of defects, and factors that cause defects in the Trimming II process and improve product quality. The method used is the Statistical Process Control (SPC) method with control aids (cheeksheet, Pareto diagram, histogram, cause and effect diagram, and control chart, scatter. The results of the study using the seven tools method found 4 types of defects in the Trimming II process defects such as scratched rear panels, crooked cross shaft frame, blower unfunction, and loose horn bracket bolts. The results of histogram diagram analysis for the highest type of defect are bolt bracket horn types the horn bracket bolts) are loose by 548. The results of the analysis of the Pareto diagram for the type of defect of the horn bracket bolts are loose by 34.6%. meaning it is still not under control. Based on the cause effect diagram and the causative factors of the type ca loose horn bracket bolts analyzed using the 5W+1H method, namely fatigue and inaccuracy at work, employee experience and understanding, dirty smelly material, difference in bolt size, disturbing noise, dusty production line conditions, hot production line temperature conditions.

Abstract

Steel is one of the metals that is widely used in today's rapidly growing industrial world. The need for manufacturing machine components is increasing. Efforts to improve the mechanical properties of steel can use heat treatment and surface treatment. One of the surface treatments that is often used in the industrial world is shot peening. This study aims to determine the effect of normalising and shot peening treatments on S45C medium carbon steel. The effect of the treatment is indicated by changes in microstructure results and surface and transverse hardness testing of the treatment results. The result is a change in the microstructure and hardness value of S45C carbon steel from the effect of normalising and shot peening treatment. Shot peening treatment causes the grains to become finer from the surface to the subsurface depending on the distance from the surface to the surface depth. These changes cause the surface and sub surface of S45C carbon steel to experience an increase in mechanical properties. The highest hardness in normalising heat treatment and shot peening treatment at 20 minutes was 316.4 HV.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang mesin screw press untuk pengolahan kelapa sawit menjadi minyak CPO ( Crude Palm Oil) dengan cara melumatkan dan pengepresan buah sawit yang sudah disteam dalam bentuk brondol buah. Mesin ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan efesiensi ekstraksi minyak kelapa sawit pada skala kecil, khususnya untuk pengusaha lokal dan petani sawit mandiri. Metode perancangan melibatkan studi literatur Pemilihan bahan , perhitungan komponen mesin, perancangan konsep desain mesin  mesin screw press. Pada tahap awal, dilakukan pemahaman mendalam terhadap proses ektrasi minyak sawit secara umum dan karakteristik bahan baku yang diolah. Berdasarkan pemahaman tersebut dikembangkan konsep mesin Screw Press yang mampu menghasil CPO. Rancangan yang dihasil : spesifikasi  mesin  screw  press (PxLxT) 175x51x111 (cm) Dengan kapasitas pengolahan 150 kg / jam, daya mesin penggerak sebesar 8 HP, rasio Transmisi V-Belt Dan Pulley 3:1, Rasio Transmisi Gear box Speed Reducer 20: 1, rasio Transmisi total sebesar 60:1, diameter Poros  31,75 mm, Diameter Screw 100 mm, pitch Screw 80mm, Panjang screw 554 mm, diameter luar (OD) rumah Screw 114,3 mm (Sch 40, Ø 4 inch),diameter dalam (iD) rumah Screw 102,26 mm, tebal Screw 10 mm.
