Abstract

The quality of education in preparing human resources to face Era 5.0, not only demands technological competence, but also high adaptability in responding to digital and industrial transformation. This research integrates literature analysis with a Qualitative approach with a type of direct study involving educational institutions that have initiated innovations in learning approaches and curriculum development. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, students as well as through observation and documentation. The study revealed that several key elements play an important role in improving the quality of education, including adaptive curriculum development, continuous professional development for educators, integration of educational technology, and active collaboration between educational institutions and local industries. These efforts are not only instrumental in improving learning outcomes, but are also crucial in aligning education with industry needs. In addition, the findings emphasize the importance of adopting a holistic education framework that bridges the formal and non-formal education sectors while encouraging the active involvement of various stakeholders. The results of this research are critical to producing competent, innovative and future-ready individuals who are able to face the dynamic challenges of Era 5.0.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of environmental performance on innovation and analyze the role of institutional ownership as a moderating variable. The increasingly critical issue of sustainability has prompted, especially in the manufacturing sector, the adoption of environmentally friendly practices that are believed to encourage innovation. However, the relationship between environmental performance and innovation still shows mixed results. This study employs a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling analysis on 150 observational data points from 30 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and participating in the PROPER program during the 2019-2023 period. The research findings indicate that environmental performance has a significant negative effect on corporate innovation. However, institutional ownership has been proven to positively and significantly moderate this relationship. These findings confirm that the presence of strong institutional investors can act as a catalyst in driving innovation amid environmental performance demands. This study has implications for policymakers and investors that proper ownership governance can create a balance between sustainability and corporate innovation in developing countries

Abstract

This study aims to examine the planning and implementation of the curriculum at the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Studies (LSIA) as a response to the needs of students who are oriented towards studying in the Middle East. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the LSIA curriculum is designed holistically, adaptively, and participatory, involving various stakeholders. The design is based on three main pillars: philosophical-religious values, adolescent development psychology, and international academic standards. The implementation of the curriculum reflects the integration of classical and digital learning media, as well as contextual methods such as talaqqi, muhadatsah, and khitobah. Evaluation is carried out periodically and incidentally to ensure dynamics and relevance. The learning strategy is individual, with initial mapping, remedial classes and acceleration. Hidden curriculum such as tahfiz, ruhiyah bina malam, and social activities contribute to the formation of Islamic character. In addition to being a pedagogical tool, the curriculum is used as a strategy to build the image and reputation of the institution. LSIA utilizes social media, alumni networks, and national and international forums to strengthen branding as a valuable, locally relevant, and globally competitive Islamic educational institution. This study fills the gap in studies that link curriculum management and institutional communication strategies, and offers a practical model of curriculum management as an academic instrument as well as branding of institutions based on Islamic values.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of financial technology, financial literacy, investment knowledge, and investment motivation on investment decisions among undergraduate accounting students at public universities in Surabaya. Amid the rapid growth of financial technology and its widespread use among young adults, understanding the key determinants of students’ investment behaviour has become increasingly relevant in contemporary financial markets. Adopting a quantitative approach, data were collected through a structured survey and analysed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) to assess both the measurement and structural models. The findings reveal that financial literacy, investment knowledge, and investment motivation have a significant and positive effect on investment decisions, whereas financial technology does not show a significant influence. These results suggest that, despite the increasing availability of technological tools, effective investment decision-making is more strongly shaped by individual competencies and motivational factors. Accordingly, the study highlights the importance of strengthening financial education and enhancing students’ financial and digital competencies to promote more informed, rational, and confident investment behaviour among future accounting professionals.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to explore how the management of parental involvement contributes to enhancing the quality of Tahfidz Al-Qur'an instruction at MI Plus Ma’arif NU Makam, Purbalingga Regency. This study is based on the premise that synergy between families and educational institutions plays a vital role in shaping students’ character and academic success, especially within the realm of religious education. Employing a qualitative approach and a case study method, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis involving the madrasah principal, teaching staff, and parents. The results demonstrate that parental involvement is managed across six fundamental dimensions: participatory planning, collaborative-based organising, structured program implementation, continuous evaluation, tangible parental contributions to students’ memorisation progress, and challenges in implementation.  Parental involvement in the Tahfidz program manifests across six managerial dimensions identified in this study. In participatory planning, parents contribute through curriculum review and target-setting discussions. Collaborative organising is reflected in the formation of program teams involving teachers, school leaders, and parent representatives. During implementation, parents support daily murojaah, utilise communication books, and participate in parenting and paguyuban activities. In control and evaluation, they engage in diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments. Parental contributions significantly enhance students’ memorisation progress through structured home routines and active communication with teachers. However, challenges include unequal participation levels, limited parental availability, and inconsistent documentation of supervision. These findings indicate the need for more inclusive and adaptive managerial strategies to strengthen school–family partnerships in Tahfidz learning.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Microleading Program as a form of practice-based learning in the Islamic Education Management Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember. This program is designed to equip students with administrative skills through work simulations in an educational laboratory environment. The evaluation model used is Responsive Evaluation from Robert Stake, which emphasizes understanding stakeholder experiences and perceptions as the basis for assessing the success of the program. This study uses a qualitative approach with an evaluative case study type. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, with the main informants consisting of participating students, teaching lecturers, and choirs. Study Program. The results of the study show that the program runs according to the guidelines and has succeeded in forming students' basic competencies in the field of educational administration. In addition to technical impacts, affective impacts were also found such as increased confidence, ability to work together, and maturity of professional attitudes. However, the implementation of the program also faces obstacles in the form of limited facilities, lack of student involvement in planning, and variations in the quality of mentoring between classes. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the development of a more participatory and contextual educational evaluation model, and confirms that micro-work simulation programs can be a strategic means in the formation of student professional leadership. These findings provide a new direction for the evaluation of practice-based programs in Islamic higher education that are more responsive to the needs of participants and changing times.

Abstract

The existence of traditional arts has become increasingly threatened by the rapid development of globalisation and the dominance of popular culture, which has significantly influenced the cultural preferences of younger generations. Numerous studies indicate that Indonesian students tend to show greater interest in foreign cultures than in their own local traditions. This condition highlights the urgent need for systematic and sustainable efforts to preserve traditional arts, particularly through the strategic role of educational institutions. SMP Negeri 4 Kalibagor has developed karawitan (traditional Javanese gamelan music) as a core element of its institutional identity and as a strategic instrument for achieving excellence as a school rooted in local wisdom. This study aims to describe and analyse the strategic management of karawitan-based school development in realising an excellent junior secondary school. Employing a qualitative approach, this field research collected primary data through in-depth interviews, supported by secondary data obtained from observation and documentation. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, while data analysis was conducted using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that SMP Negeri 4 Kalibagor has positioned karawitan as a strategic school policy, having carefully considered conducive internal and external environmental conditions. The development of karawitan is implemented systematically through strategic management stages, including the formulation of vision and mission, internal and external environmental analysis, determination of strategic objectives, strategy formulation and implementation, policy and target setting, as well as continuous monitoring and evaluation. This strategic policy not only serves as a concrete effort to preserve local cultural heritage but also functions as a means of building the school’s competitive advantage at the basic education level, thereby contributing to the advancement of strategic management studies in education grounded in local wisdom.

Abstract

Educational supervision plays a strategic role in improving instructional quality and strengthening teacher professionalism in senior high schools. However, supervision practices in many secondary education institutions remain ineffective due to the fragmented application of supervision types, inappropriate supervisory techniques, and poorly structured supervision processes. This study aims to systematically examine the implementation of educational supervision in senior high schools by analysing the interrelated dimensions of supervision types, supervision techniques, supervisory approaches, and academic supervision processes. The study employs a descriptive qualitative research design using a systematic literature review method to synthesise theoretical and empirical studies on educational supervision published between 2021 and 2025. Data were collected by documenting peer-reviewed journal articles, scholarly books, and research reports in Indonesian and English, and analysed using thematic descriptive analysis. The findings reveal that educational supervision in senior high schools is implemented through three integrated types: academic, managerial, and clinical supervision. Academic supervision focuses on improving teaching and learning processes through lesson planning review, classroom observation, and reflective dialogue. Managerial supervision strengthens school governance, leadership, and organisational effectiveness, while clinical supervision supports individualised teacher development through intensive and reflective feedback cycles. In addition, effective supervision is supported by the strategic combination of individual and group supervision techniques, as well as the adaptive use of directive, collaborative, and non-directive supervisory approaches based on teachers’ professional characteristics. The supervision process operates through a systematic cycle of planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up, ensuring sustainability and continuous instructional improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationships among teacher collaboration, the work environment, and job comfort. A quantitative research approach was employed, using a saturated sampling technique in which the entire population served as the research sample, given its relatively small size. The participants of this study were 30 teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Sagalaherang, Subang City. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire designed to measure the levels of teacher collaboration, work environment conditions, and job comfort. The collected data were analysed using multiple linear regression in SPSS version 27. The analysis indicates that teacher collaboration has a significant positive effect on job comfort, suggesting that effective cooperation, communication, and teamwork among teachers contribute to a more comfortable work environment. In addition, the work environment was found to be significantly related to job comfort, suggesting that physical, social, and psychological working conditions play an important role in supporting teachers’ well being. Simultaneously, teacher collaboration and the work environment were proven to have a significant combined effect on job comfort. These findings highlight the importance of fostering collaborative practices and creating a supportive work environment to enhance teachers’ job comfort and overall performance in educational institutions.
