Abstract

The goal to be achieved in this study is to find out the efforts of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at SMP Negeri 11 Lhokseumawe in using Information and Technology (IT) based learning media. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The collected data is analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results found in this study indicate that in the use of IT-based learning media, teachers at MTSN 11 Lhokseumawe perform the following steps: 1) identifying suitable materials presented using IT-based teaching media, 2) training on developing learning media, 3) implementing the mentoring programs, 4) buying a laptop, 5) making a schedule for using the LCD Projector, and 6) including plans to use IT in the RPP. While the obstacles faced can be identified in several ways, including: 1) technological incompetence; the competence of PAI teachers is limited to the use of IT, 2) lack of availability of IT laboratory space, 3) inadequate availability of LCD projectors, and 4) limited internet network.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes during the learning process are strongly influenced by the methods applied by the teacher in teaching. The use of appropriate methods in teaching must be in accordance with the surrounding environment, so that the methods applied can function properly. The purpose of the research is to explain the learning outcomes of class V MIN 20 Bireuen on Hajj material using the picture and picture method, to describe the activities of teachers and students in improving learning outcomes of Jurisprudence on Hajj material using the picture and picture method and to explain student responses during the learning process Jurisprudence on Hajj material using the picture and picture method. This type of research is qualitative with a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach. The research subjects were 18 students of class V MIN 20 Bireuen. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, test questions, and documentation. Presentation of material using pictures related to Hajj material and providing evaluation before closing learning activities. The results showed that the effort to improve learning outcomes of Jurisprudence on Hajj material by using the picture and picture method for students of class V MIN 20 Bireuen, has increased, from the previous students who completed learning only 16.66%, after using the picture and picture method in cycle I the number of students who completed reached 55.55%. In cycle II there was an increase in the number of students who completed 94.44%. It was concluded that learning Fiqh on Hajj material using the picture and picture method can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method on enhancing students' critical thinking skills in the subject of Islamic Ethics (Akidah Akhlak) at the eighth-grade level in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1(MTsN 1) Kota Lhokseumawe. The context of this research is grounded in the need for a teaching method that not only develops intellectual intelligence but also addresses the spiritual, moral, and religious aspects of students. The research adopts a quantitative approach with an experimental research design. The study population comprises all eighth-grade students at MTsN 1 Kota Lhokseumawe, with the sample consisting of an experimental class applying the PBL method and a control class using conventional methods. Data collection involves questionnaires and observations, while data analysis employs homogeneity tests and hypothesis testing. The findings reveal that the implementation of the PBL method has a significant influence on the improvement of students' critical thinking skills. The average questionnaire score for the experimental class is 92.74, whereas the control class scores 82.65. Hypothesis testing indicates that the t-value (5.12) exceeds the critical t-value (1.675) at a 5% significance level. Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected, and it can be concluded that PBL effectively enhances students' critical thinking skills compared to conventional methods. Based on these findings, it is recommended to further integrate the PBL method in the curriculum development of the Islamic Ethics subject. This recommendation can serve as a foundation for education policymakers and educators to design more adaptive, active, and relevant teaching strategies in response to the dynamics of modern education.

Abstract

The learning outcomes in Al-Qur'an Hadith lessons in this study are changes in the ability and behavior of class VIII MTsN 9 Aceh Utara using the Make a Match method in learning. This study aims to: 1) find out how far the learning outcomes of the Qur'an Hadith have increased in class VIII students of MTSN 9 Aceh Utara for the 2021/2022 academic year using the Make a Match method, and to find out the obstacles faced by teachers in using this method. The approach used in this qualitative research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The samples taken were 25 students, while the data were obtained by observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed that the Make a Macht method was effectively used in improving student learning outcomes at MTSN 9 Aceh Utara. This was evidenced by an increase in students' learning interest in doing assignments, a willingness to ask questions and express opinions. Through a comparison of student test results between cycle I and cycle II it was found that, in the test results of cycle I, only 13 (53%) students were complete in learning. After the second cycle was carried out, the student test results experienced an increase where as many as 24 students (96%) completed the lesson. The increase in student learning outcomes occurs gradually from the category of incomplete and finally complete (from low to high). It was concluded that in improving learning outcomes of Al-Qur'an Hadith in class VIII MTsN 9 students can apply the make a match method.

Abstract

This study analyzes the formulation of parental concern for Islamic religious education in elementary school children in Gampong Payabili Lhokseumawe. The purpose of this study was to explain how parents care about Islamic religious education for elementary school children in Gampong Payabili and describe the obstacles faced by parents in providing Islamic religious education to elementary school children in Gampong Payabili. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data sources in this study were parents and elementary school level children in Gampong Payabili. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that parents' concern for Islamic religious education in elementary school level children in Gampong Payabili Lhokseumawe was shown by the supervision and direction given to children. As for the obstacles found, among others, parents have not fully provided facilities for children's learning needs, the lack of time that parents have in accompanying children due to being busy working and the minimal level of education of parents. To make up for their shortcomings, parents in Gampong Payabili try to be good role models for their children.

Abstract

Many teenagers spend time with activities that are not useful. Therefore, parents are required to be able to direct their children to a good path. The purpose of this study was to find out and describe the pattern of parental approaches in guiding positive activities for adolescents in Sumbok Rayeuk Village, North Aceh. Teenagers in the transition phase need full guidance and supervision from their parents, starting from activities at home to outside the home. Parents must always be ready to supervise teenagers in the use of mobile phones and their friendship environment. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Sources of data in this study were parents in Sumbok Rayeuk Village, North Aceh. Data obtained through interview techniques, documentation, and observation. The results of the study showed that the approach taken by parents in guiding positive activities for Youth in Sumbok Rayeuk Village, Nibong Aceh Utara District was carried out using a communicative approach, reward and punishment patterns and giving exemplary examples to their children. The obstacles faced by parents include the use of mobile phones that do not know a time limit and where adolescents interact with their peers who are beyond the reach of their parents.

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes in concentrating on reading long texts in Islamic Religious Education and Moral Education lessons result in students becoming bored and lacking focus. Researchers chose reading guides to be one of the methods in the learning process of Islamic Religious Education and Character. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there was an influence of reading guides on student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects in class VIII SMP Negeri Lhokseumawe. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research. Data collection techniques using tests and documentation. The sample selection was carried out using a purposive technique. The collected research data were analyzed using statistical methods. The research results obtained are the results of the initial ability test (pretest), the average value produced is 63.7. After being given treatment (treatment) and the final test (posttest) the average value rose to 82.4. Then the results of hypothesis testing using paired t-test obtained a significant value of -36,090. Because a significant value <0.05 indicates a significant difference between pretest and posttest. In this case, it shows that there is a significant influence on the treatment that has been given. Thus there is an influence from the Reading Guide method on student learning outcomes in PAI subjects at SMP Negeri 10 Lhokseumawe.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and evaluation of project-based learning to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in early childhood in North Penajam Paser Utara. The research explores the effectiveness of this approach in addressing learning problems within the context of the Independent Curriculum, which is mandatory for educational units. The qualitative research employed data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis involved an interactive process of condensing and presenting the data, leading to the formulation of conclusions. The validity of the data was ensured through triangulation of methods and sources. The findings of this study reveal the successful implementation of project-based learning to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in early childhood at Belia Binuang Integrated PAUD and TK Handayani III in Penajam Paser Utara. The research focused on three key areas: (1) planning P5 learning, which involved formulating objectives, identifying learning content, designing learning activities, and evaluating the learning process; (2) implementing P5 learning, which included thorough preparation, incorporating Pancasila values into every learning activity, collaborating with parents, evaluating and providing feedback, reflecting on the process, and fostering development; and (3) evaluating P5 learning, which employed various assessment methods such as observation, portfolio assessment, formative assessment, role playing, interviews, reflection, and discussion. By examining the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of project-based learning, this study sheds light on its efficacy in strengthening the profile of Pancasila students in early childhood. These insights contribute to the ongoing efforts to improve early childhood education and inform curriculum development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the strategy employed in cultivating religious character through the Al-Qur'an Education Garden program. The research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Tholabuddin Gandusari Blitar. Utilizing a qualitative approach, this research systematically and accurately reports the characteristics of the population and the locality of MI Tholabuddin Gandusari Blitar. The research methodology involved the direct collection of data from the field through observation guidelines, interviews, and document analysis. Primary data were sourced from the madrasah head, curriculum coordinator, Al-Qur'an Education Garden (TPQ) coordinator, TPQ teachers, and students, while secondary data encompassed journals, books, archival sources, and official documents. Data analysis was conducted through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and summarization of findings. The outcomes of the study spotlighted the TPQ program as an integral part of shaping students' religious character at MI Tholabuddin Gandusari Blitar. The instructional materials focus not solely on formal education, but also on fostering student engagement in interactive activities and the application of religious values in their daily lives. This study revealed that: 1) The teacher's role as an instructor and facilitator significantly influences character development, particularly their capacity to link religious values with practical everyday application. 2) The amalgamation of formal and informal learning within TPQ leads to a comprehensive comprehension of religious values within the modern context. 3) Pedagogical methods, such as the tartila method, integration of religious values, a variety of teaching techniques, and assessment, play a pivotal role in shaping students' religious character. 4) The non-academic approach through role modelling and habituation outside formal learning hours also helps shape students' religious character. In essence, an all-encompassing approach encompassing learning materials, teacher roles, integration of religious values, pedagogical methods, and non-academic character cultivation profoundly and enduringly influences the development of students' religious character. This is vividly illustrated by the Al-Qur'an Education Garden Program at MI Tholabuddin Gandusari Blitar.

Abstract

This study offers a comprehensive exploration of how educational strategies can influence the character and attitudes of students from MAN 4 Jombang, facilitating the integration of religious values into their everyday lives. The research approach employed is qualitative in nature, falling under the category of field research. The data collection procedures encompass in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Data analysis involves three concurrent processes: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that the pedagogical approaches adopted by Aqidah Akhlak teachers to impart religious values to students at MAN 4 Jombang encompass tawādu' (humility), tasāmuḥ (tolerance), and ta'āwun (cooperation) attitudes. These are enacted through a range of methodologies, including Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), inquiry-based learning, problem-based learning, cooperative learning, and affective teaching. The utilization of habituation techniques and direct engagement in social interactions aids in the assimilation of religious principles into the students' daily routines. The teacher's dual role as both a living model and a facilitator in applying these principles assumes a pivotal position within this process. The implications of these findings extend beyond individual students, significantly impacting broader society.
