Abstract

This research was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of teaching methods in enhancing the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for 10th-grade students at Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 3 (SMAN 3) Purwakarta. This study aimed to compare the learning outcomes of students between the lecture method and the Problem-Solving method. The research method employed was an experiment involving two groups of students, namely the experimental group taught using the Problem-Solving method and the control group taught using the lecture method. Learning outcome data was collected through pre-tests and post-tests and analyzed using the Independent T-Test statistical analysis. The research results indicated that the Problem-Solving method significantly improved students' learning outcomes (mean=65.51) compared to the lecture method (mean=41.67). The average percentage of students' learning outcomes using the Problem-Solving method reached 81.89%, categorized as "Good," while the lecture method only reached 52.08%, categorized as "Less Good." Based on these findings, it is recommended that teachers consider the use of the Problem-Solving method in PAI learning to enhance students' learning outcomes. The integration of this method can bring significant benefits, such as improving critical thinking, student engagement, and overall learning outcomes. Therefore, this research provides a crucial contribution to the development of more effective teaching strategies in the field of religious education.

Abstract

This study delineates the role of Prophet Muhammad as a teacher and the significance of educators in education based on both Hadiths and the Qur'an. Employing a library research approach, this study gathered data from various pertinent sources, including classical and contemporary literature, relevant Hadiths, and academic research. By amalgamating information from diverse and credible sources, this research endeavors to provide a comprehensive understanding of Prophet Muhammad's stature as an educator and his role.The findings elucidate that Prophet Muhammad was not solely a prophet and messenger but also a teacher who played a pivotal role in shaping the character, values, and ethics of the Islamic community. He provided tangible examples of righteous living and motivated individuals to pursue knowledge. The study draws vital lessons regarding the role of educators in Islam, the paramount importance of knowledge and education, and the significance of emulating Prophet Muhammad as an exceptional teacher.This research furnishes a deeper comprehension of his contributions to shaping Islamic values and propelling the community towards continuous learning and teaching.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of parent-school relationships in enhancing student moral development at SD Negeri 12 Bireuen, operating as a Sekolah Penggerak. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach and encompasses various stakeholders, including the principal, teachers, students, parents, school committee, and the school environment. Data was gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis focuses on the principal's leadership role in engaging with the community within the context of the Sekolah Penggerak in Bireuen Regency, following the steps of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The findings reveal that the approach adopted by the Principal of SD Negeri 12 Bireuen has fostered an environment conducive to positive moral growth among students. Collaborative efforts and participation from diverse groups, such as the teachers' council, committees, parents, and community leaders, have proven pivotal in program planning and execution. Utilizing both group and individual meetings, alongside mediums like brochures, newsletters, and the Monday flag ceremonies, has effectively strengthened the school's community relationships and facilitated the dissemination of student and school-related information. An encompassing evaluation of various school elements underscores the program's success in enhancing student morale. In summary, the integration of parent-school relations within the framework of Sekolah Penggerak has yielded constructive outcomes on student moral development. The principal and the school community have effectively cultivated cooperative partnerships, promoted robust communication, and ensured active engagement from all stakeholders.

Abstract

Research to explore the implications of the ḥalaqah mentoring method in Islamic Religious Education, particularly in shaping the character of Madrasah students. Ḥalaqah is considered a holistic approach, encompassing spiritual and emotional intelligence aspects, to strengthen faith foundations and shape Islamic character. This qualitative research focuses on descriptive qualitative research aimed at describing phenomena or events naturally occurring in the research location, specifically at Madrasah Aliyah in the Aceh region. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with ḥalaqah mentors and students, as well as the analysis of documents related to ḥalaqah activities and student achievements. Data processing is carried out using analytical techniques that include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The research findings indicate that ḥalaqah, as an effective mentoring method, shapes the character of Madrasah students. Diverse ḥalaqah materials involving spiritual and emotional intelligence aspects have a significant positive impact. The role of ḥalaqah mentors and the empowerment of ROHIS as co-mentors are key to success in creating a supportive learning environment. Based on the research findings, strengthening the ḥalaqah program with an emphasis on emotional intelligence integration can be an effective step in reinforcing character formation. Furthermore, it is recommended to involve more stakeholders, including parents and madrasah committees, to support the comprehensive implementation of ḥalaqah.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the strategies employed by the preacher (Dai) to enhance interest and understanding in Islamic Religious Education within small groups, particularly at the Majelis Taklim Muslimat Baiturrahman in Lhokseumawe. The study encompasses efforts to comprehend the dynamics of small groups and seeks holistic and diverse approaches to religious education. Employing a qualitative case study approach, the research utilizes participatory observation techniques, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. Data is collected from members of the study group and religious teachers to gain a profound understanding of the strategies employed. Data analysis employs an interactive qualitative approach to detail comprehensive findings. The research findings indicate that religious teachers actively employ three main strategies: 1) Interactive discussions create a collaborative environment that enhances active participation and enriches the learning experience. 2) Inspirational lectures elicit emotional stimulation by linking the subject matter to everyday life. 3) Question-and-answer approaches stimulate critical thinking and responsiveness to individual learning needs. The impacts of these strategies include increased interest in learning, the development of a deeper understanding, and the formation of a sense of unity among participants. Based on the research findings, it is recommended that religious teachers undergo training in implementing innovative strategies that can better adapt to the dynamics of small groups. Additionally, the results offer guidance for the development of instructional strategies focusing on participant engagement and the relevance of religious concepts in everyday life.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of religious character in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Islamiyah Kebondalem 01. The focus of the research is on the integration of religious character in the learning process, both directly and indirectly, as well as the role of teachers in shaping students' characters. A qualitative approach was used to collect and analyze data from various sources, including classroom observations, interviews with teachers, and document analysis. Research participants included teachers and students of MI Islamiyah Kebondalem 01. The results indicate that the implementation of religious character is carried out through various strategies, including extracurricular habituation, integration of religious values into various subjects, as well as teacher exemplification and guidance. Concrete steps such as scheduled religious activities, interactive religious activities, and the establishment of supportive school rules have helped shape good habits and internalized religious values in students. Based on the research findings, recommendations to maximize the implementation of religious character include: 1) Training and guidance for teachers in effective teaching methods and exemplification; 2) Development of creative and relevant learning materials related to religious values; 3) Continuous monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of religious character in classrooms; 4) Enhanced collaboration among teachers to strengthen the integration of religious values into the curriculum and daily teaching practices.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the partial effects of (1) motivation on teacher performance, (2) competence on teacher performance, and (3) the combined effect of motivation and competence on teacher performance. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 5 Banda Sakti using a quantitative method, with data processing techniques multiple regression analysis. The sample was collected using the total sampling technique, with the entire population of 30 teachers included in the sample. Data was gathered using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The findings showed that, partially, (1) the direct effect of motivation on teacher performance was 27.4; and (2) the direct effect of competence on teacher performance was 22.0. Simultaneously, the combined effect of motivation and competence on teacher performance was 43.50, while the remainder was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. The research recommends that synergy between motivation and competence should be fostered through comprehensive development programs, while teacher welfare must also be addressed to maintain their commitment. Regular performance evaluations are necessary to identify further development needs, and additional research is suggested to explore other factors affecting teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on zakat material by using the Bumper Sticker strategy. This study used the method of classroom action research (PTK), which was carried out in two cycles, with the research subjects being class X students in a junior high school. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that the Bumper Sticker strategy was effective in improving student activeness, group collaboration, and individual learning outcomes. In cycle I, student activeness in group discussions reached 65%, which increased to 85% in cycle II. The average student score also increased from 75 in cycle I to 85 in cycle II, with the percentage of students who reached the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) increasing from 72% to 94%. The application of this strategy also shows that group discussions and the use of visual media (bumper stickers) can improve understanding of the concept of zakat. This study implies that the Bumper Sticker strategy can be used as an innovative learning alternative that increases students' active participation and understanding of the concepts of Fiqh material, especially zakat, and can be applied in the classroom for other topics that require conceptual understanding and collaboration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the application of the Tilawati method at Hidayatul Mubtadi'ien Islamic Boarding School, as well as identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques that include in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results showed that the planning of the application of the Tilawati method involved selecting teaching staff with syahādah, preparing learning objectives based on the stages of the students' abilities, and providing media and teaching materials, such as the Kitab Tilawati Volumes 1-6. The implementation of this method combines classical and individual approaches, which have proven effective in improving the ability to read the Qur'an. The main obstacles identified include santri discipline and difficulty in reciting Rost, while supporting factors include the quality of teaching staff, infrastructure, and institutional support. Strategic solutions, such as intensive training, rescheduling sleeping habits, and utilizing the Tilawati Mobile application, successfully overcame the obstacles. This study has implications for the development of technology-based Qur'an learning methods and holistic approaches to improve the quality of education in pesantren.

Abstract

This research discusses the concept of character building and the role of character building in developing students' attitudes in schools. The concept of character building encompasses values, attitudes, and positive behaviors that are the primary focus of developing good personality traits in individuals. Character building is based on the idea that character can be taught, learned, and applied in daily life. This concept is also supported by the moral philosophy introduced by Al-Ghazali and Ibn Maskawaih, emphasizing the importance of moral education in shaping good character. Furthermore, the research method employed in this study includes a literature review and content analysis. Some data were collected from various sources related to the concept of character building and the role of character building in developing students' attitudes in a madrasah (school). The data were analyzed descriptively to explore the relationships between these concepts and their implications in the context of education in madrasahs. The findings of the research indicate that character building plays a crucial role in developing students' attitudes in madrasahs. By integrating character concepts from Lickona with moral concepts from Al-Ghazali and Ibn Maskawaih, madrasahs can shape a generation with character and noble morals in accordance with Islamic teachings. The implications of this research suggest that character building needs to be a primary focus in madrasah education to mold individuals who are ethical, responsible, and beneficial to religion, society, and the nation.
