Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of Digital Marketing and Artificial Intelligence research in the context of Sustainable Business Strategy in the Industry 4.0 Era through a bibliometric approach to 702 Scopus-indexed publications spanning from 1972 to the projected year 2025. A comprehensive analysis was conducted to identify the dynamics of publication trends, citation impact, international collaboration patterns, and the evolution of research focus. The research findings show a consistent increase in the number of publications, reaching a peak in 2024 with 19 publications. The strongest citation impact was found in articles published in 2020 with 817 citations. In terms of institutional affiliation, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur stands out as the most prolific contributor with 4 papers, and the Business, Management, and Accounting study domain dominates the research landscape with a proportion of 45.6%. Mapping of international research collaborations shows strong ties between the United States (168 publications, 12,920 citations) and India (99 publications, 1,103 citations). Furthermore, research focus mapping using VOSviewer (a threshold of at least three keyword occurrences) indicates a shift from conventional themes to digital issues dominating recent publications, with topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data analytics, innovation, and sustainability marking rapidly evolving research directions. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance of a deep understanding of the integration of digital marketing and artificial intelligence in designing adaptive and sustainable business strategies, and open up opportunities for further research related to digital transformation and business innovation in the Industry 4.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Net Interest Margin (NIM), Non-Performing Loan (NPL), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), and Operational Expenses to Operational Income (BOPO) on the profitability of banking companies. The object of this research consists of banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2023 period. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling method, resulting in a total of 86 datas with 30 companies. The data were processed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) version 25 and Microsoft Excel 2019. The findings indicate that NIM has a positive and significant effect on profitability, NPL has no significant effect on profitability, CAR and BOPO has a negative and significant effect on profitability. These results imply that banks must optimize their productive assets and enhance operational efficiency to maintain and improve profitability performance, which in turn may provide a positive signal to investors in making investment decisions.

Abstract

East Java Province has one of Indonesia’s largest fiscal structures, marked by increasing Regional Expenditure from 2015 to 2024, though dependency on central transfers like the General Allocation Fund (DAU) remains significant. This study aims to analyze the effects of Local Revenue (PAD), DAU, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), and Population on Regional Expenditure across East Java’s regencies and cities, and to determine the presence of the Flypaper Effect before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Using secondary data from BPS and regional financial reports, the analysis employs a panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) determined through Chow, Hausman, and LM tests. Results show that PAD, DAU, GRDP, and Population significantly influence Regional Expenditure simultaneously. Partially, PAD is the most significant factor, while DAU is only significant at the 10% level. The study finds no Flypaper Effect in either period, concluding that fiscal dependency patterns have shifted toward greater local fiscal autonomy.

Abstract

The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is an important aspect in maintaining the occupational health and safety of housekeepers in the hospitality industry. Housekeepers are exposed to various occupational risks that require adequate protection. This study aims to analyze the implementation of PPE usage by housekeepers at Cordela Suite Tasikmalaya Hotel, including knowledge, usage practices, supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as workers' perceptions toward PPE. This research is a descriptive qualitative study with an observational approach and in-depth interviews. Respondents include the Executive Housekeeper, Room Attendant, and Order Taker. Data were collected through observation sheets and structured interview guidelines, then analyzed descriptively. Observation results show that housekeepers use PPE according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including masks, gloves, and shoes in proper working condition. PPE storage facilities and information boards for usage are available. Supervision is conducted directly with warnings given to those who do not follow procedures. The main constraint is discomfort (heat) especially for internship participants, but it remains mandatory to maintain hygiene. In conclusion, the implementation of PPE usage at Cordela Suite Tasikmalaya has been running well with adequate availability, strict supervision, and high awareness among workers. Enhancement of basic housekeeping understanding for prospective workers is needed to improve PPE usage compliance.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of entrepreneurial leadership, human capital, knowledge sharing, and motivation on innovation performance and competitive advantage among startups in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 200 startup respondents across various industries through a Likert-scale questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3) to evaluate both direct and indirect relationships. The results demonstrate that entrepreneurial leadership, human capital, knowledge sharing, and motivation each have a positive and significant effect on innovation performance. Furthermore, innovation performance significantly enhances competitive advantage and mediates the effects of the four independent variables on competitiveness. The findings highlight innovation performance as a strategic link that transforms internal organizational capabilities and employee behaviors into sustainable market advantages. The model exhibits strong explanatory power (R² = 0.671 for innovation performance and R² = 0.713 for competitive advantage), indicating high predictive relevance and good model fit. This research contributes theoretically by reinforcing the resource-based and knowledge-based views (RBV and KBV) of organizational competitiveness, and practically by providing strategic insights for Indonesian startups to strengthen their innovation-driven growth and sustainability
