Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of fintech and blockchain implementation on banking profitability with financial efficiency as a moderating variable. A quantitative research approach was employed, involving a population of 105 banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The sample was selected using purposive sampling, focusing on commercial banks with complete financial reports and evidence of blockchain adoption, resulting in five banks as research samples. The study utilized secondary data obtained from financial statements and official banking publications collected through documentation techniques. Fintech was measured based on the implementation of digital banking services, blockchain adoption was identified through disclosures in annual reports, financial efficiency was measured using the BOPO ratio, and profitability was proxied by Return on Assets (ROA). Data analysis included descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), processed using SPSS version 26 with a 5% significance level. The results indicate that fintech has a significant positive effect on banking profitability, while blockchain implementation does not have a significant effect. Furthermore, financial efficiency is not proven to moderate the relationship between fintech or blockchain and banking profitability.

Abstract

This study examines how transformational leadership, work motivation, and cohesion influence employee performance in Indonesian Islamic banking institutions. Using survey data from 320 employees at seven Islamic banks and analyzed using PLS-SEM, the results indicate that work motivation and transformational leadership do not directly affect employee performance. However, transformational leadership significantly increases cohesion, which in turn has a strong positive influence on performance. Mediation analysis confirms that cohesion fully mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of collective mechanisms in explaining performance in Sharia-compliant organizations and offer practical insights for Islamic banking leaders.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has weakened the business sustainability of members of Islamic cooperatives and significantly increased non-performing financing, particularly among micro-entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, conventional debt restructuring mechanisms tend to prioritize institutional financial recovery and often fail to restore members’ productive capacity and dignity. This article examines a debt resolution model for Islamic cooperative members affected by Covid-19 through the utilization of zakat funds based on a productive gharimin approach integrated with sustainable economic empowerment programs. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method using a case study approach involving Islamic cooperatives and zakat management institutions (LAZ), with data collected through interviews, documentation, and observation. The findings indicate that zakat-based debt settlement accompanied by productive empowerment initiatives—such as goat farming, tempeh production, and participation in providing community business infrastructure (MBG)—effectively restores cooperative financial health, reduces non-performing financing risks, and preserves members’ dignity without stigmatization. Furthermore, the cooperative–LAZ synergy model facilitates the transformation of members from financially distressed individuals into empowered and self-reliant economic actors. This model is considered more equitable, humane, and sustainable than conventional debt restructuring and is highly relevant as an Islamic social finance practice for post-pandemic economic recovery.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze knowledge conversion practices in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on the SECI Model (Socialization, Externalization, Combination, Internalization) framework and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors influencing the process within business management dynamics. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design involving MSMEs in Bogor City. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews with business owners and employees and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that knowledge conversion practices have not been fully implemented according to the complete SECI cycle and remain dominated by the socialization and externalization stages, which occur informally. Meanwhile, the combination and internalization stages have not been optimally implemented due to limitations in managerial literacy, technological utilization, and organizational capacity. Supporting factors include a communicative work culture, close interpersonal relationships among business actors, and access to training and external networks. This study highlights the importance of strengthening structured knowledge management systems to enhance MSMEs’ competitiveness and sustainability.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) face significant challenges in managing data volatility and digital transformation costs. This research explores the implementation of hybrid cloud architecture as a strategic solution for data scalability within the MSME sector. Using a qualitative descriptive approach supported by a systematic literature review, this study analyzes how hybrid cloud integration balances the cost-efficiency of public clouds with the security and control of private infrastructures. The findings indicate that hybrid cloud systems allow MSMEs to scale their operational data dynamically during peak periods without incurring prohibitive capital expenditures. Furthermore, the study identifies that technical readiness and managerial support are critical determinants in successful cloud adoption. This research provides a framework for MSME owners and policymakers to enhance digital competitiveness through scalable IT infrastructure.

Abstract

Computational thinking and logic programming are essential skills in the 21st-century curriculum, yet many high school students find traditional syntax-based learning daunting. This research aims to develop an educational game designed to teach logic programming concepts to high school students using the C++ language. The development follows the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC), incorporating phases from initiation to release. The game focuses on algorithmic problem-solving, control structures, and logical operators through an interactive, gamified interface. Evaluation using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) indicates high levels of perceived usefulness and ease of use among students. The results suggest that gamification significantly lowers the cognitive barrier to entry for C++ programming, fostering a more engaging learning environment for novice programmers.

Abstract

The construction of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road provides macroeconomic benefits through enhanced connectivity and logistical efficiency. However, it generates structural negative impacts on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) along the old road corridors. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road development on MSME financing in Pasar Bengkel, Perbaungan Subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai Regency, and to examine the justification for financing restructuring for affected MSMEs from the maslahah perspective. Employing a juridical-empirical approach, primary data were collected through in-depth interviews with 10 MSME actors, while secondary data were drawn from legal regulations and related literature. Findings reveal an average turnover decline of 40–50%, liquidity constraints, and heightened risk of non-performing financing. None of the respondents received effective restructuring, such as margin relief or temporary tenor extensions. From the maslahah perspective, restructuring is justifiable as a means to prevent harm (dar’ al-mafāsid) and preserve wealth (hifẓ al-māl), consistent with Sharia principles in Al-Baqarah verse 280. The study concludes that expanded regulations and strengthened maslahah-based policies are essential to align infrastructure development with economic justice for MSMEs.

Abstract

TikTok Shop is an e-commerce feature within the TikTok app that allows users to buy and sell products directly through videos, live streaming, and storefronts on user profiles. TikTok Shop often provides price subsidies so that products can be sold at lower prices than offline stores. The purpose of this study is to analyze the practice of buying and selling below market prices that is widespread on the TikTok Shop platform from the perspective of Maslahah Mursalah. By using empirical legal research, namely research that aims to examine law as a norm or rule that lives in society with the approach used conceptual approach and statute approach. The study shows that the practice of buying and selling below market prices carried out by large businesses and by platforms such as TikTok Shop has the potential to create price imbalances that cause small and medium enterprises to be unable to compete fairly. This contradicts the principle of prohibiting monopolistic practices and unfair business competition as regulated in Law Number 5 of 1999. It also contradicts the Maslahah Mursalah perspective in Islamic law, because it causes more mafsadah (damage) than temporary benefits.
