Abstract

Marketing strategy is crucial for any business, whether selling goods or services. Puspa Jaya Transport, an intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) bus company, faces fluctuations in passenger numbers influenced by both internal and external factors. This study aims to analyze Puspa Jaya Transport's marketing strategy to increase ticket sales. This qualitative study used observation, interviews, and data analysis techniques, supported by a SWOT analysis and the IFAS and EFAS matrices. The results indicate that Puspa Jaya Transport is in quadrant I (growth), with strengths in service quality, punctuality, and excellent facilities, which are key strengths in utilizing digital promotional media. The recommended strategy is the SO strategy, which maximizes service quality, facilities, and digital optimization to increase ticket sales.

Abstract

The increasing demands for performance and the complexity of tasks in government institutions require organizations to manage human resources effectively. In this context, the implementation of a learning organization and a supportive organizational culture are important factors in enhancing employee job satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the effect of learning organization and organizational culture on the job satisfaction of employees at the Central Statistics Agency (Badan Pusat Statistik) of Central Lampung Regency. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research population consists of all 40 employees of the Central Statistics Agency of Central Lampung Regency, with a saturated sampling technique applied. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results show that learning organization has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Organizational culture is also proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Simultaneously, learning organization and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. These findings indicate that improving learning organization practices and strengthening organizational culture can enhance employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

The Public School Bus Service in South Lampung Regency is a form of public transportation service provided by the local government to support students’ safety and mobility in accessing educational activities. This service is implemented by the Department of Transportation as part of public service delivery in the transportation sector and is provided free of charge. However, in its implementation, various issues remain that have resulted in suboptimal service quality and a declining level of public interest in utilizing the service. This study aims to analyze the factors that hinder the quality of the Public School Bus Service in South Lampung Regency and to formulate strategies for improving service quality that can be implemented by the local Department of Transportation. This research employs a qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using a Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagram with a 5M approach to identify the root causes of service-related problems, which were subsequently analyzed using SWOT analysis as the basis for formulating service quality improvement strategies. The findings indicate that the quality of the Public School Bus Service is influenced by limitations in operational management, inadequate route coverage that has not yet reached all schools, constraints in human resources and supporting facilities, and the absence of optimal evaluation and service quality monitoring mechanisms. These constraints have contributed to the low utilization of the Public School Bus Service by the community. Based on the SWOT analysis, several service improvement strategies were formulated, focusing on strengthening service management, enhancing quality management practices, improving human resource capacity, and reinforcing coordination with relevant stakeholders. The study concludes that improving the quality of the Public School Bus Service requires integrated and sustainable service management in order to meet community needs and support effective public service delivery in South Lampung Regency.

Abstract

The performance of civil servants is a key determinant of the effectiveness and success of public sector organizations in carrying out their duties and functions. In election supervisory institutions such as the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu), civil servant performance plays a crucial role due to the complexity of tasks, high demands for professionalism, and work pressures that arise throughout the electoral process. In practice, civil servant performance is influenced not only by individual capabilities but also by organizational factors that shape employees’ attitudes and work behavior. Several organizational factors are assumed to influence civil servant performance, including transformational leadership, work discipline, and the work environment. Transformational leadership emphasizes the ability of leaders to provide role models, motivate, and inspire subordinates to perform optimally. Work discipline reflects the level of compliance of civil servants with applicable rules, procedures, and work standards. Meanwhile, a safe, comfortable, and conducive work environment is believed to create working conditions that support employee morale and productivity. This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership, work discipline, and the work environment on the performance of civil servants at the Election Supervisory Board of Pesawaran Regency, both partially and simultaneously. This research is expected to provide empirical insights into organizational factors that contribute to improving civil servant performance in regional election supervisory institutions. This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population and sample consisted of all civil servants at the Election Supervisory Board of Pesawaran Regency, totaling 18 respondents, selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through structured questionnaires using a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Prior to regression analysis, the data were tested for validity, reliability, and classical assumptions to ensure the adequacy of the research model. The results indicate that, partially, transformational leadership does not have a significant effect on civil servant performance. In contrast, work discipline and the work environment have a positive and significant effect on performance. Simultaneously, transformational leadership, work discipline, and the work environment have a significant influence on civil servant performance at the Election Supervisory Board of Pesawaran Regency. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that improving civil servant performance in the Election Supervisory Board of Pesawaran Regency is more effectively achieved through strengthening work discipline and creating a safe, comfortable, and conducive work environment.

Abstract

                Financial inclusion is an important element in equitable economic development. However, people with disabilities still face obstacles in accessing Islamic financial services. In fact, the Islamic financial system based on the principles of al-'adl (justice) and maṣlaḥah (benefit) is in line with the goal of Maqāṣid al-Syarī'ah to protect property (hifz al-mal), soul (hifz al-nafs), and human dignity (ḥifẓ al-'irdh). This study aims to analyze the inclusion of Islamic finance for people with disabilities in Indonesia through a literature review (library research) with a qualitative descriptive approach to legal sources, scientific literature, and regulatory agency reports. The results of the study show that despite regulations such as Law No. 8 of 2016, the Compilation of Sharia Economic Law (KHES), and POJK No. 6/POJK.07/2022, the application of Maqāṣid al-Syarī'ah values in Islamic financial services has not been optimal due to the limitations of inclusive infrastructure, low literacy, and the absence of specific technical guidelines. This research emphasizes the need to integrate the principles of Maqāṣid al-Syarī'ah in digital policies, regulations, and innovations in order to realize an inclusive and socially just Islamic financial system.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of capital market education on students’ stock investment interest, with risk perception as a mediating variable. The research was conducted among students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Lampung, who had participated in capital market education programs. This study employed a quantitative explanatory research approach. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires (1–5) from 363 respondents and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that capital market education has a significant effect on both risk perception and stock investment interest. Risk perception demonstrates the strongest influence on students’ investment interest. Furthermore, risk perception plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between capital market education and stock investment interest. These findings suggest that capital market education becomes more effective in enhancing investment interest when it successfully shapes positive, rational, and well-managed risk perceptions. This study contributes theoretically to the development of behavioral finance and human capital perspectives and provides practical implications for universities and capital market authorities in designing educational programs that not only enhance financial knowledge but also foster healthy risk perceptions among young investors.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the banking sector has increased the intensity of technology use in employee work activities. This condition has the potential to lead to digital burnout and emotional exhaustion, which impact employee performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital burnout and emotional exhaustion on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 20 employees of Bank BCA Pringsewu Branch Office selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that digital burnout had a negative and significant effect on employee performance (β = -0.221; p < 0.05), emotional exhaustion had a negative and significant effect on employee performance (β = -0.954; p < 0.05), and both simultaneously had a significant effect on employee performance (F = 159.318; p < 0.05) with an Adjusted R² value of 0.943. These findings confirm that managing digital work pressure and employee emotional state are key factors in improving performance in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of instructors’ educational backgrounds in the formation of basic competencies among Police Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) cadets at the State Police School of the Lampung Regional Police. Variations in instructors’ educational levels, namely senior high school, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees, are assumed to influence teaching methods, guidance, and learning effectiveness. This research employed a qualitative phenomenological approach to explore the experiences of instructors and cadets. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving ten informants, consisting of five instructors and five Police NCO cadets. The findings indicate that instructors with bachelor’s and master’s degrees tend to deliver learning materials in a more systematic and conceptual manner, while instructors with a senior high school background emphasize field experience, practical training, and the development of discipline and mental resilience. The formation of basic competencies is carried out in an integrated manner through theoretical learning, practical activities, physical training, and mental development. Determining factors of instructors’ educational background include the relevance of education to teaching subjects, service and teaching experience, instructional methods, availability of facilities and infrastructure, as well as cadets’ motivation and discipline in the national police education process

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of compensation, motivation, and work conflict on employee performance in a state-owned construction company, with government budget efficiency as a moderating variable. The research phenomenon stems from the suboptimal performance of employees in government infrastructure projects due to compensation discrepancies, low motivation, and internal conflict amidst demands for efficient use of the state budget. The study used a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis and moderated regression analysis (MRA). The study population consisted of 60 employees using a saturated sampling technique. Data were obtained through a Likert-scale questionnaire and processed using SPSS version 25, accompanied by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests to ensure data quality. The results of the partial test (t-test) showed that compensation and motivation had a significant positive effect on employee performance. The results of the simultaneous test (F-test) proved that compensation, motivation, and work conflict together had a significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, all independent variables had a significant effect on performance. The variable of government budget efficiency was shown to moderate the relationship between compensation and motivation on performance, but did not moderate the relationship between work conflict and performance. These findings indicate that budget efficiency can strengthen the positive influence of compensation and motivation on performance improvement, but is not yet effective in reducing the negative impact of work conflict. The research findings are expected to serve as a reference for the management of state-owned construction companies (BUMN Karya Konstruksi) in formulating human resource management strategies that balance budget efficiency with improving employee welfare to achieve optimal organizational performance.

Abstract

This research seeks to examine, evaluate, and confirm how supply chain management impacts company performance, using competitive advantage as a mediating factor, focusing on gacoan noodle consignment service providers who apply official gacoan noodle supply chain management practices. A quantitative research method is utilized, collecting data through participatory observations, literature reviews, and surveys with questionnaires distributed to gacoan noodle consignment service providers. The study's participants are a micro-enterprise engaged in delivery services related to the retail distribution of gacoan noodle consignment services, comprising 45 individuals. A saturated sampling method was employed, meaning all 45 respondents were included in the study. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis was conducted with the SmartPLS 4 tool for data analysis. The findings of this research reveal: (1) Supply Chain Management positively and significantly influences Company Performance, where supply chain management's role in enhancing company performance is moderate, (2) Supply Chain Management positively and significantly impacts Competitive Advantage, with a notable large effect of supply chain management on competitive advantage, (3) Competitive Advantage positively and significantly affects Company Performance, where competitive advantage's role in improving company performance is moderate, and (4) Supply Chain Management positively and significantly affects Company Performance through Competitive Advantage as a mediator, revealing that the competitive advantage serves as a medium-level mediation between supply chain management and company performance.
