Abstract

Limestone mining activities in Topogaro Village require effective water management because carbonate geomorphology tends to produce complex flow pathways and increase surface and subsurface water accumulation. This study aims to identify water accumulation risk zones by integrating slope analysis, watershed delineation, Topographic Position Index, and ASTER spectral interpretation to support the design of mine dewatering systems. The methodology includes DEM sink filling, topographic parameter calculation, flow accumulation analysis, TPI classification, and carbonate mineral extraction using band ratios and principal component analysis. The results indicate that sub-watersheds W3 and W4 exhibit the highest flow accumulation and serve as the main contributors of runoff towards the central lowlands. The TPI categories valley and flat reinforce the identification of inundation-prone zones especially when aligned with dolomite-rich lithology and alteration zones characterized by high permeability. The discussion demonstrates that integrating geomorphological and spectral parameters effectively maps hydrological risks in tropical carbonate mining environments. The study concludes that low-slope areas with concentrated flow pathways are the primary priority for locating mine dewatering systems and designing runoff mitigation strategies. These findings provide an essential foundation for developing more accurate and adaptive dewatering designs in limestone mining operations.

Abstract

Competition in the tourism industry, particularly in the water recreation sector, demands that every company has human resources capable of providing optimal service. Employee performance is one of the main factors determining a company's success in maintaining service quality, increasing visitor satisfaction, and achieving organizational targets. This study aims to analyze the effect of financial compensation and work motivation on employee performance in the Operational Division of PT. Anugerah Waterpark Bunder. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population was all employees of the Operational Division of PT. Anugerah Waterpark Bunder, totaling 35 respondents. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire with semantic differential. Data analysis used IBM SPSS Statistics through validity tests, reliability tests, multiple linear regression analysis, partial tests (t), simultaneous tests (F), and coefficient of determination (R²). The results show that financial compensation has a positive impact on employee performance. Work motivation also has a positive impact on employee performance. Simultaneously, financial compensation and work motivation significantly influence employee performance, with a coefficient of 35.2%. This finding indicates that the financial compensation system has a greater influence on employee performance than work motivation. Therefore, companies need to optimize policies and develop sustainable human resources.

Abstract

Lecturer performance is a crucial factor in determining a higher education institution's success in improving the quality of education, research, and community service. Sekolah Tinggi Desain Indonesia (STDI) Bandung is one of the private higher education institutions required to ensure that its lecturers perform optimally in carrying out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Based on preliminary observations, lecturer performance has not yet reached an optimal level, as indicated by the low achievement in research and community service activities, as well as the less-than-optimal level of lecturer attendance. This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership and work motivation on lecturer performance, both partially and simultaneously. This research employed a quantitative method using multiple linear regression analysis and the coefficient of determination with the assistance of SPSS version 26. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all 30 lecturers of STDI Bandung using a saturated sampling technique. The results show that transformational leadership has a significant partial effect on lecturer performance, while work motivation does not have a significant partial effect on lecturer performance. However, transformational leadership and work motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on lecturer performance. The coefficient of determination of 56.7% indicates that the variation in lecturer performance can be explained by transformational leadership and work motivation, while the remaining 43.3% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution and impact of productive zakat on community welfare in Sinjai Regency using the maslahah-based CIBEST model. Historically, measuring the success of productive zakat has focused primarily on increasing the income of mustahik (zakat recipients), while spiritual and social aspects have not been comprehensively integrated. The study employs a qualitative field research approach involving mustahik recipients of productive zakat. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, with key informants comprising mustahik and staff from BAZNAS Sinjai Regency. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, utilizing triangulation techniques. The results indicate that the productive zakat program implemented by BAZNAS in Sinjai Regency has made a positive contribution and impact on the mustahik. Materially, productive zakat has succeeded in increasing the income and purchasing power of the mustahik. Spiritually, it fosters improved religious observance, gratitude, honesty, and a sense of responsibility in business management. Socially, it creates a better quality of life by enhancing social utility and social concern. Furthermore, the maslahah perspective demonstrates the achievement of maqashid al-shari'ah (objectives of Islamic law) goals, particularly the preservation of religion (hifz al-din), life (hifz al-nafs), intellect (hifz al-'aql), lineage (hifz al-nasl), and wealth (hifz al-mal). The implications of productive zakat extend beyond achieving economic independence—transforming mustahik into muzakki (zakat payers) and serving as a sustainable stimulus rather than merely meeting short-term needs—to also fostering gratitude, religious obedience, optimism, reduced social inequality, and social solidarity.

Abstract

Selecting stage cosmetics requires specific considerations because the products must support character portrayal, facial expression, and makeup durability throughout a performance. This study aimed to analyze the effects of product quality, price, and promotion on cosmetic selection decisions among members of the Dance Subunit of the Student Arts Unit at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design was employed. All 30 active members of the Dance Subunit were included as respondents through total sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-tests, an F-test, and the coefficient of determination with SPSS. The results showed that product quality had a positive and significant effect on cosmetic selection decisions (t = 2.361; p = 0.026), whereas price had no significant effect (t = 0.137; p = 0.892). Promotion had a positive and significant effect and was the strongest predictor (t = 4.299; β = 0.679; p < 0.001). Simultaneously, product quality, price, and promotion significantly affected cosmetic selection decisions (F = 25.054; p < 0.001). These variables explained 74.3% of the variance in cosmetic selection decisions. The findings indicate that stage cosmetic selection decisions are primarily determined by product quality and promotion, while price is not a significant independent determinant.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and verify the influence of transparency, traceability, data security, and Blockchain innovation adoption on customer trust, as well as their impact on complaint-handling performance at PT Pos Indonesia’s Tanjungpandan Branch Office. The study is motivated by issues such as information asymmetry and structural failures in the tracking mechanisms of conventional SAP ERP systems, which have led to a high volume of consumer complaints (YLKI 2025 data) and a low Top Brand Index score of 9.40% relative to competitors. The research employed a quantitative approach combined with an explanatory design. Primary data were collected from 110 respondents selected via purposive sampling, comprising logistics partners, corporate clients, and major retail users. A 1–5 Likert scale was utilized. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS), with SmartPLS software employed for the analysis. The results indicate that all 13 hypotheses were accepted, showing positive and significant relationships. Blockchain innovation adoption proved to have the most dominant influence on customer trust (0.386), while traceability emerged as the primary driver for enhancing complaint-handling performance (0.308). R-Square values demonstrate that the model explains 75.1% of the variance in trust and 81.6% of the variance in complaint-handling performance, classifying it as an excellent predictive model. Furthermore, trust was found to partially mediate the relationships between the variables. In conclusion, transitioning to a decentralized digital architecture offers a strategic solution for PT Pos Indonesia to eliminate information asymmetry, restore service credibility, and achieve operational efficiency in resolving customer complaints.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Return on Assets (ROA) and Earnings per Share (EPS) on stock prices of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2018–2024. A quantitative approach with a descriptive-verificative method was employed using secondary data from annual reports, financial statements, and historical stock prices. The sample consisted of 10 banking companies selected through purposive sampling from a population of 47 companies, resulting in 70 company-year observations. The data were analyzed using panel data regression with EViews 12, with the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) selected as the appropriate regression model. Hypotheses were tested using the t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²) at a 5% significance level. The results indicate that ROA has a positive and significant effect on stock prices, whereas EPS has a negative and significant effect. Simultaneously, ROA and EPS have a significant effect on stock prices. The R-squared value of 0.609592 indicates that ROA and EPS jointly explain 60.9592% of the variation in stock prices, while the remaining 39.0408% is attributable to other factors outside the research model. These findings provide empirical evidence that financial performance information, particularly asset profitability and earnings per share, is relevant to stock price valuation in the banking sector and supports the application of Signaling Theory in explaining investors’ responses to financial information.

Abstract

Shooting ability is one of the fundamental techniques that plays a crucial role in determining a player's success in scoring goals in football. The effectiveness of a shooting technique is influenced not only by technical mastery but also by leg muscle strength, movement coordination, body balance, and the proper execution of movements from the preparation phase, execution phase, to the follow-through phase. However, the shooting strength of players at Perisai Muda Football School (SSB Perisai Muda) has never been descriptively analyzed as an evaluation tool for the coaching process. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the level of shooting strength of SSB Perisai Muda players based on the preparation phase, execution phase, and follow-through phase. This study employed a quantitative descriptive research method using a survey approach through a shooting test. The population consisted of players from Perisai Muda Football School (SSB Perisai Muda). The sample comprised 25 players, selected using the total sampling technique. The research instrument was a shooting distance test, in which each player performed three shooting attempts representing the preparation phase, execution phase, and follow-through phase. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of frequency distributions and percentages and were then classified into four categories: very good, good, fair, and poor. The results showed that in the preparation phase, shooting ability was predominantly in the Good category, with 13 players (52%), followed by the Fair category with 11 players (44%), the Very Good category with 1 player (4%), and no players in the Poor category (0%). In the execution phase, the Good category remained dominant with 13 players (52%), while the Very Good category increased to 3 players (12%), the Fair category decreased to 8 players (32%), and the Poor category consisted of 1 player (4%). In the follow-through phase, shooting ability was predominantly in the Fair category with 12 players (48%), followed by the Good category with 10 players (40%), the Poor category with 3 players (12%), and no players achieved the Very Good category (0%). It can therefore be concluded that the overall shooting strength of SSB Perisai Muda players falls within the Good category, although the players were not able to consistently maintain their shooting performance across all phases, particularly during the follow-through phase.

Abstract

The development of mobile banking services offers convenience to customers but also increases the risk of cybercrimes, such as phishing, which can lead to financial losses. This study aims to analyze the legal protections and bank liability regarding losses suffered by customers who fell victim to phishing while using the BSI KCP Gatot Subroto mobile banking service, as well as to examine the issue from the perspective of maqashid sharia (the objectives of Sharia). The research employs an empirical-juridical method utilizing qualitative, conceptual, and statutory approaches. Data were gathered through literature reviews and interviews with BSI KCP Gatot Subroto customer service staff and customers who had been victims of phishing. The findings indicate that protection is provided through preventive measures—such as education and system security enhancements—and repressive measures, including complaint handling, investigations, and the blocking of account access. However, the recurrence of phishing incidents in 2023, 2024, and 2025 suggests that these protective measures have not been fully effective. In the cases studied, the bank attributed the losses to customer negligence without conducting a transparent assessment of the bank's own security system effectiveness. From the perspective of maqashid sharia, such protection relates to the principle of hifz al-mal (preservation of wealth), although its implementation has not yet been fully optimal.
