Abstract

Anti-corruption education is an important effort to build student character amid rising moral challenges in schools. In Islamic education, spiritual values such as honesty (shiddiq), trust (amanah), and justice (adl) play a strategic role in shaping anti-corrupt behavior, yet implementation in schools often remains theoretical and insufficiently integrated with spiritual character formation. This study analyzes the implementation of anti-corruption education in building students' self-integrity through Islamic spiritual values in the Akidah Akhlak (Moral Beliefs) subject at MAN 2 Sungai Penuh, and its implications for student character. Using a qualitative field-research approach, data were collected through observation and semi-structured in-depth interviews with the madrasah head, an Akidah Akhlak teacher, and students, then analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity tested through triangulation. Findings show that anti-corruption education is implemented by integrating Islamic spiritual values into learning, teacher exemplification, school religious culture, and habituation of honesty and trust, resulting in greater student honesty, responsibility, and spiritual awareness. The novelty of this research lies in linking anti-corruption education contextually with Islamic spiritual values within Akidah Akhlak learning, so it is internalized in behavior rather than merely understood cognitively, contributing theoretically and practically to future learning models for building students' integrity sustainably.

Abstract

This study examines the Hajj planning strategy developed by Muhammadiyah organizations in Sorong Regency. Using a qualitative design, data were collected from 18 participants representing Muhammadiyah Taklim Council Study Group, Aisyiyah, Muhammadiyah Youth, Nasyiatul Aisyiyah, and Muhammadiyah Organization of Sorong Regency. Data were obtained through focused interviews, participant observation, and documentation analysis. The findings reveal that Hajj planning is strengthened through religious guidance, financial discipline, collective participation, and organizational mentoring. However, participants identified weaknesses in financial literacy, administrative standardization, coordination, and digital management. Opportunities include Muhammadiyah’s organizational network and youth participation, while threats include economic instability, geographical barriers, and potential loss of financial trust. The study concludes that a transparent, digitally supported, participatory Hajj Arisan management system can improve organizational governance and expand inclusive access to Hajj registration. The study proposes a community-based Hajj planning model applicable to Muslim minority and peripheral regions in Indonesia.

Abstract

The low level of students’ reading proficiency (maharah qira’ah) in Arabic language learning is the main reason for implementing the Jeopardy game to improve their reading proficiency. This study examined the effect of using Jeopardy Game as a learning medium on the Arabic reading skills (maharah qira'ah) of eleventh-grade students at MAS Al Washliyah 12 Perbaungan. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design was employed. The sample consisted of 65 students selected through purposive sampling, with 32 students in the control group and 33 in the experimental group. Data were collected using valid and reliable pretest and posttest instruments and analyzed through normality, homogeneity, simple linear regression, and independent t-test analyses. The results showed that Jeopardy Game had a positive and significant effect on students’ learning outcomes (p < 0.05), contributing 50.4% to the improvement in achievement (R² = 0.504). Students in the experimental group also demonstrated greater participation, motivation, and enthusiasm. These findings indicate that Jeopardy Game is an effective learning medium for enhancing maharah qira'ah and promoting a more active and engaging learning experience.
