Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the influence of the use of metaphors and similes on the aesthetics of Abu Nawas' poetry, especially in the poem entitled " Al-I'tirāf ." Metaphors and similes are two important elements in the style of language used by poets to convey meaning and emotion in a deeper and more aesthetic way. This paper uses a qualitative analysis method for research conducted with a literature study approach, where the poems are analyzed based on the use of metaphors and similes found in the text. The results of the study show that metaphors are used to describe abstract concepts such as sin, regret, and hope for forgiveness, while similes are used to simplify the poet's feelings through comparisons that can be understood by the reader. Both contribute significantly to the aesthetics of the poem, both in terms of meaning and the beauty of language, as well as strengthening the spiritual message that Abu Nawas wants to convey.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the implementation of learning difficulty diagnosis practices in improving the effectiveness of teaching strategies in schools. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to explore teachers' experiences in diagnosing students' learning difficulties and the implications for teaching strategies. Data were collected through interviews with teachers, classroom observations, and the analysis of documents such as lesson plans and reports on learning difficulty diagnoses. The data analysis technique used was thematic analysis with triangulation to ensure the validity and reliability of the data. The research findings show that diagnosing learning difficulties helps teachers identify barriers faced by students, both internal (such as low motivation or health issues) and external (such as family environment or unsuitable teaching methods). This diagnostic practice allows teachers to design more effective teaching strategies tailored to the individual needs of students. However, challenges such as limited resources, time, student participation, and teachers' competence in conducting diagnoses remain significant hurdles. This study recommends that teachers receive further training and adequate support in resources to enhance the effectiveness of learning difficulty diagnosis practices in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze students' learning difficulties and the efforts teachers can undertake to address these issues in schools. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing various literature sources such as scientific journals, books, articles, and academic documents. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify internal and external factors influencing students' learning difficulties. The findings reveal that students' learning difficulties are caused by internal factors such as mental maturity, intelligence level, motivation, and interest, as well as external factors such as family environment, community, teaching methods, and the availability of teaching aids. These difficulties hinder students' comprehension of learning materials, leading to a decline in academic achievement. Efforts to overcome learning difficulties involve the active role of teachers through identification, diagnosis, action planning, and support provision. Teachers apply approaches such as individual guidance, remedial programs, and the use of varied teaching methods, including relating materials to daily life. Additionally, teachers create a conducive learning environment and provide motivation to students. This study offers valuable insights for teachers and schools in designing learning strategies that support students' academic success.

Abstract

This study aims to explore H.M. Arifin's thoughts on the integration of religious and rational values in Islamic education, as well as its application in modern education curriculum. Using a qualitative approach and literature study method, this research analyzes H.M. Arifin's works that outline the concept of education that not only prioritizes religious aspects, but also encourages critical and rational intellectual development among students. The findings show that this integration is very important in forming a generation that not only understands religion textually, but can also adapt to the development of science and technology. The religious-rational concept developed by Arifin contributes to the formation of individuals who have a balance between spirituality and intellectuality, and are able to face the challenges of an increasingly complex era. In addition, content analysis is used to find insights in the text or related visual data, while theoretical reflection and critical analysis strengthen a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon under study. This research reveals that the religious-rational approach has the potential to overcome the gap between religious and general knowledge that often occurs in Islamic educational institutions. This is expected to help form a generation that has a solid spiritual and intellectual balance, and is able to compete in the era of globalization without losing its Islamic identity. In Indonesia, the context of Islamic education faces considerable challenges, as many institutions separate religious and scientific knowledge, thus creating a gap in the way students understand religion and think critically. Therefore, the results of this study are also expected to provide strategic recommendations for Islamic education institutions in Indonesia to face the demands of the modern era. Through a religious-rational approach, educational institutions can integrate the value of faith with science, so that students not only excel in religious matters but also have critical thinking skills and abilities that are relevant in an increasingly complex multicultural society.
