Abstract

Roadside tree planting refers to the practice of planting trees along roadsides and highways. It serves multiple purposes, including enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the landscape, providing shade, reducing erosion, improving air quality, and creating wildlife habitats. These trees can also act as windbreaks, reducing the impact of strong winds on vehicles and nearby properties. Moreover, they contribute to mitigating the urban heat island effect by providing cooling shade and reducing surface temperatures. Additionally, roadside tree planting can help in carbon sequestration, as trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere during photosynthesis. Overall, it's a sustainable practice with numerous environmental, social, and economic benefits.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine total quality management practices and organization performance with the mediating role of strategies for continuous improvement. Besides that, the study aimed to bridge a gap in the literature and knowledge of total quality management practices and organization performance with strategies for continuous improvement. The study employed an explanatory and descriptive research design and used a mixed approach. A survey was conducted using self-administered and structured, closed-ended questionnaires that were distributed to respondents. Descriptive statistics and correlation statistical tools were used to examine the relationship between total quality management ingredients and organizational performance, and multiple regression analysis was used to measure the effects of independent variables on the dependent variable. The study adopted a probability sampling technique, specifically a simple random sampling technique. The data was analyzed using Amos in SPSS. The correlation analysis was performed to identify the direction and strength of the relationship between variables, whereas the SEM (structural equation model) analysis was used to describe the causal effect between and among dependent and independent variables under investigation. Concerning SEM analysis, the study found total quality management and strategies had positive and significant effects on organizational performance. It is recommended that firms continually implement TQM and use strategies properly to improve performance.

Abstract

Meatballs are a processed meat product that has high nutrition. The maximum shelf life for meatballs made from meat is 1 day (12 hours). Storing meat foods at inappropriate temperatures, such as room temperature, greatly facilitates the growth of microbes. The marketplace for meatballs in traditional markets in the city of Padang is still sold on the streets at open-air temperatures without using sufficient refrigeration. The possibility of contamination with microorganisms is very large. This research aims to determine the suitability and quality of meatballs sold at Pasar Raya Padang City by examining the Total Plate Count (TPC) and identifying the types of bacteria that contaminate meatballs sold at Pasar Raya Padang City. The research results showed that the amount of microbial contamination in meatballs varied, namely 1.9x10 6, 7.5x10 6, 5.6x10 6, 1.8x10 6, 8.6x10 6, and 9.2x10 6. The results of this study showed that the meatball samples had microbial contamination greater than 10 5 CFU/gr or did not meet SNI standards. Based on macroscopic and microscopic morphological identification as well as biochemical reactions, all isolates were classified as bacteria from the genus Bacillus

Abstract

This research gives an overview of the initiatives undertaken at the New College, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Southern India, aimed at enriching the Arabic language environment among undergraduate AFL learners, its planning, cultivating love for the Arabic Language while fostering a passion for the Arabic Language through an Arabic Environment. Utilizing qualitative and descriptive research methods, data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings reveal four types of programs, weekly, monthly, and supported by thorough planning, designing, and enrichment of research components. Challenges arise from the absence of a written guideline for forming, designing, and enriching programs, leading to the use of observe, imitate, and modify approaches for improvement in further implementations

Abstract

Efforts to return stolen state assets (stolen asset recovery) through criminal acts of corruption (TIPIKOR) tend not to be easy to carry out. Corruption perpetrators have extraordinarily wide and difficult access to hide or launder money from the proceeds of their criminal acts of corruption. The problem becomes increasingly difficult for recovery efforts because the haven for the proceeds of crime extends beyond the borders of the country where the criminal act of corruption was committed. This research aims to determine the mechanism for returning assets in criminal acts of corruption through criminal channels. The type of research used is normative research, and the data collection technique is library research. The research results show that the mechanism for returning assets in criminal acts of corruption through criminal channels has four stages: tracking assets, freezing or confiscating assets, confiscating assets, and returning and handing over assets to the victim's country.
