Abstract

Economic empowerment based on home industry is an effort to improve the welfare of housewives in Karangpatihan Village. This study aims to analyze the impact of this economic empowerment program on income, skills, and long-term changes in family economy. The method used is a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach with the implementation of entrepreneurship training for local housewives. The results of the study indicate that the program successfully increased the income of housewives through more organized and productive home-based businesses. In addition, their skills in running independent businesses significantly improved. In the long term, this empowerment has led to better family financial management and increased female participation in economic decision-making within the household. This empowerment program has made a significant contribution to the economic resilience of families in Karangpatihan Village

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of mentoring in organic waste management to improve environmentally friendly agricultural productivity in Jayan Village, Canden Jetis, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The mentoring involved training and workshops that taught composting techniques and other organic waste management practices. The results of the study indicate that after the mentoring, there was a significant change in the method of organic waste management, which had previously been poorly managed. The composting techniques introduced were able to improve soil quality and agricultural yields, while also reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers. Additionally, this program successfully increased the community's awareness of the importance of environmentally friendly farming practices. The study concludes that mentoring in organic waste management can enhance agricultural productivity and support environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Penelitian pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat pendidikan karakter pada anak usia dini melalui pendekatan bercerita dan bermain di TPA Al-Barokah Klaten. Pendekatan ini diharapkan dapat membawa perubahan perilaku anak, meningkatkan interaksi sosial, serta meningkatkan kapasitas pendidikan karakter. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah pendekatan partisipatif dengan kegiatan bercerita dan bermain yang melibatkan anak-anak secara aktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah implementasi pendekatan ini, terdapat perubahan signifikan dalam perilaku anak, terutama dalam hal kerjasama, empati, dan tanggung jawab. Anak-anak juga menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan dalam berinteraksi secara positif dengan teman-teman, guru, dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Secara keseluruhan, pendekatan bercerita dan bermain terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas pendidikan karakter anak usia dini di TPA Al-Barokah Klaten. Program ini berhasil menciptakan suasana yang mendukung perkembangan karakter anak secara menyeluruh, baik dari sisi sosial, emosional, maupun kognitif. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, pendekatan ini dapat dijadikan model untuk diterapkan pada lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini lainnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service research is to enhance the productivity of micro-businesses in Sumberharjo Village, Sleman, Yogyakarta, through mentoring and assistance in business management, marketing, and financial management. The community service method employed includes training, workshops, and direct mentoring to micro-business owners. This program focuses on improving the participants' ability to manage finances, develop products, and utilize technology for marketing. The results of this community service show significant improvements in micro-business management, as evidenced by the participants’ ability to optimize operations and expand their marketing networks. The impact of the program is also observed in the sustainability of micro-businesses, as the owners are able to maintain business stability and better face market challenges. The implication of this program is that effective mentoring and assistance can strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of micro-businesses at the local level

Abstract

The aim of this community service program is to empower women in Karangpatihan Village, Ponorogo, through entrepreneurship training. This research aims to identify the factors influencing the success of women's empowerment, the impact of entrepreneurship training on family economic improvement, and the challenges faced by women in implementing the results of the training. The method used in this community service is a skill-based training approach implemented through workshops and direct simulations. The participants are women in Karangpatihan Village who either own a business or are interested in starting one. The results of the community service indicate that the success factors include access to resources, family support, as well as personal motivation and ability. The entrepreneurship training had a positive impact on the economic improvement of the participants' families, although challenges such as limited time, capital, and social-cultural barriers were still encountered by some participants. This program successfully improved entrepreneurial skills and directly affected the participants' family welfare. Therefore, it is recommended to strengthen continuous mentoring, improve access to capital, and enhance social support to expand the impact of this program.
