Abstract

This study examines the protection of privacy as an individual right in Islam and its application in the digital age, using a qualitative method based on a literature review. This study analyses Islamic teachings alongside contemporary digital issues to understand how Islamic values can address privacy challenges in the modern era. The findings indicate that Islam places great emphasis on privacy protection through ethical principles such as the prohibition of spying (tajassus), upholding human dignity, respecting personal boundaries, and promoting ethical communication. In the digital age, these principles remain highly relevant in addressing issues such as the misuse of personal data, cybercrime, online fraud and the unethical dissemination of information. This study also highlights the importance of strengthening digital literacy grounded in Islamic values to encourage responsible, mutually respectful, and ethical behaviour in online interactions. Overall, the study concludes that Islamic teachings provide an important ethical foundation for protecting privacy and helping to create a safer, wiser, and more harmonious digital environment for society.

Abstract

This study discusses the internship practices of Islamic vocational high school students as a space for the formation of work habitus, professional ethics, and the internalization of religious values. The research problem arises from industrial demands emphasizing punctuality, compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), workplace communication, occupational safety, and responsibility, while Islamic schools simultaneously equip students with adab (proper conduct), discipline, and religious values. The purpose of this study is to explain the empirical practices of internships, the social relations supporting the learning process in industry, and the implications of religious education for Islamic vocational school students. This study employed a qualitative approach through an internship experience study. Data were collected through observations, interviews with principals, supervising teachers, industry representatives, students, and documentation. The findings reveal that students learned to adapt to the rhythm of industrial work, faced challenges due to differences in facilities and vehicle types, received direct guidance from industry mentors, and demonstrated behavioral changes toward greater discipline, responsibility, and communicative ability. Supervising teachers emphasized trustworthiness, honesty, discipline, and maintaining the school’s reputation, while internship experiences transformed students’ understanding of the relationship between religion, work, and their professional future. These findings indicate that internships are not merely job placements but also social processes that shape work habitus through direct industrial experience integrated with religious ethical values.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital media has fundamentally transformed the social landscape in which adolescents grow up, raising serious concerns about its impact on character formation. Adolescence is a pivotal phase of identity development, moral reasoning, and value internalization. However, the unrestricted penetration of digital content from social media platforms to streaming services has been shown to erode religious values, weaken social bonds, and encourage hedonistic behavior among youth. This study aims to analyze the impacts of digital media development on the character of adolescents from an Islamic perspective, using a qualitative library research (studi pustaka) method. Data were gathered from scientific journals, Islamic primary sources (the Qur'an and Hadith), and contemporary research publications from 2015 to 2025. The findings indicate that digital media carries a dual nature: it can be a powerful tool for Islamic education and moral reinforcement, yet simultaneously poses grave threats to adolescent spirituality, social behavior, and intellectual integrity. The study recommends that Islamic education institutions, families, and policymakers work collaboratively to build a framework of digital akhlak grounded in Maqashid al-Shariah principles protecting religion (hifdz al-din), life (hifdz al-nafs), intellect (hifdz al-'aql), lineage (hifdz al-nasl), and property (hifdz al-mal) as a guiding ethical compass for adolescents navigating the digital age.

Abstract

This project aims to enhance students' learning outcomes in Tajwid (Quran recitation) by using a demonstration technique for Grade 5 at SDN Pasirkamuning I during the 2025/2026 academic year. The used approach was action research (PTK), grounded on the Kemmis and McTaggart framework, including the phases of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was carried out across two cycles involving 28 fifth-grade pupils. Data were gathered using both qualitative and quantitative descriptive methodologies. The results demonstrate that the demonstrative style was helpful in enhancing student engagement in Tajwid courses. Students exhibited heightened engagement, enhanced self-assurance, and improved comprehension of the rules governing the reading of “nun mati” and “tanwin” via direct recitation of the Quran. The average score in the first cycle was 80, accompanied by a success rate of 81%. During the second cycle, there was an improvement in student engagement and comprehension of Tajwid content, despite a success rate of 77%. The presentation approach provides a more experiential learning opportunity, facilitating students' comprehension of abstract subjects. This method enables instructors to cultivate a more interactive and stimulating learning atmosphere. Consequently, the demonstrative method may provide as a successful tool for enhancing children's Tajwid learning results in primary education.
