Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is now taught via educational media and artificial intelligence (AI) thanks to the advancement of digital technologies. This study aims to investigate the use of media and AI in PAI education, as well as its advantages, difficulties, and methods for adhering to Islamic educational principles. The study collected data from several pertinent books, journals, and scientific papers using a qualitative methodology and a library research method. The study's findings demonstrate how using digital media and artificial intelligence (AI) can make learning more dynamic, interesting, and productive while also assisting educators in creating resources and assessing student progress. However, there are a number of obstacles to the application of AI, including poor student digital and religious literacy, restricted access to technology, and reliance on technology. Therefore, the use of media and AI in PAI education should be done carefully, with instructors continuing to be the major mentors in helping students develop their Islamic beliefs and personalities

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 has brought significant changes to the educational landscape, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The use of e-learning, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as an alternative approach to support learning that is more flexible, interactive, and responsive to students’ needs. This study aims to explore the concepts of e-learning, LMS, and AI within PAI learning, as well as to examine their implementation, benefits, and challenges. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, drawing on various relevant sources such as academic journals, books, and scholarly articles. The results indicate that the integration of these technologies can improve learning effectiveness, foster student engagement, and support more personalized learning experiences. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure and teachers’ readiness in utilizing digital tools are still evident. Therefore, a well-planned and value-oriented strategy is required to ensure that the integration of technology in PAI learning remains aligned with Islamic values while responding to contemporary educational demands.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concepts of fi’il lazim and fi’il muta’addi found in the manuscript Al-Qawa’id al-Asasiyyah and to examine the differences between the two in Arabic sentence structure. This study is motivated by the importance of understanding the verb system in Arabic, particularly in determining the relationship between verbs, subjects (fa’il), and objects (maf’ul bih) in sentence formation. This research employed a qualitative method using a text analysis approach. The primary data source was obtained from the book Al-Qawa’id al-Asasiyyah, while secondary data were collected from various books and scientific journal articles related to nahwu studies. Data collection was conducted through a literature study by recording parts of the text discussing fi’il lazim and fi’il muta’addi. The data analysis process involved several stages: translating the manuscript, identifying the types of verbs in the text, classifying the data based on their characteristics, comparing the two types of verbs, and drawing conclusions from the analysis. The results show that fi’il lazim are verbs that do not require an object because their meaning is complete with only the verb and the subject, whereas fi’il muta’addi are verbs that require an object to complete the meaning of the action in the sentence. The difference between the two mainly lies in the relationship between the verb and the object in sentence structure. These findings indicate that understanding the concepts of fi’il lazim and fi’il muta’addi is essential for analyzing Arabic sentence structure and understanding the use of verbs in the text Al-Qawa’id al-Asasiyyah

Abstract

Creativity is one of the essential competencies students must possess to face the challenges of the globalization and digital era. However, conventional educational systems often hinder this potential due to an rigid orientation toward cognitive-academic achievement. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the strategic role of educational psychology in fostering and optimizing students' creative potential within the school environment. The research method employed is qualitative with a literature review approach (library research), utilizing secondary data gathered from relevant scientific journals, articles, and theoretical documents. The results indicate that educational psychology provides a scientific foundation for educators to understand mental processes, holistic developmental needs (cognitive, affective, psychomotor), and students' psychological characteristics. Through this approach, the teacher's role is reconstructed from a conventional instructor into an adaptive learning facilitator. Students' creativity can be optimized through the implementation of psychology-based strategies, such as differentiated learning that respects individual uniqueness, and Project-Based Learning methods that stimulate divergent thinking. Furthermore, successful creativity development requires a strong synergy between a positive classroom climate, emotional support within the family environment, and the provision of platforms through extracurricular activities. This study concludes that a proper understanding of educational psychology is the ultimate key to creating a school ecosystem that cultivates a creative, adaptive, and solution-oriented generation.

Abstract

Religious psychology is an important aspect in understanding human behavior, emotional stability, and spiritual development in everyday life. Differences in social roles and responsibilities between unmarried and married individuals can influence the way individuals understand and practice religious values. This study aims to determine the differences in the development of religious psychology between unmarried and married individuals, particularly in terms of religious consistency, spiritual motivation, and emotional maturity. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive-comparative design. The subjects consisted of eight respondents, including four unmarried individuals and four married individuals. Data were collected through semi-structured questionnaires distributed using Google Forms in May 2026. The data analysis technique employed the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that married individuals tend to have more stable religiosity and emotional maturity due to family responsibilities and support from spouses in carrying out religious practices. Married respondents also demonstrated better emotional control and viewed religion as a guide in maintaining family harmony. Meanwhile, unmarried individuals tend to experience fluctuations in worship consistency caused by environmental influences, social media, lifestyle, and personal motivation. However, several unmarried respondents still demonstrated strong intrinsic religious awareness. This study concludes that marital status influences the development of religious psychology, especially in emotional maturity, spiritual responsibility, and consistency in religious practices. This research is expected to contribute to the development of religious psychology studies related to religiosity and social life.

Abstract

This study discusses educational technology from an Islamic perspective through the integration of values, ethics, and innovation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. The study aims to analyze the role of educational technology in supporting the learning process of PAI in the digital era, which is characterized by the rapid development of information and communication technology. The method employed is qualitative research using a library research approach, drawing on various sources such as scientific journals, books, and relevant academic articles. The collected data were analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that educational technology from an Islamic perspective functions not only as a learning medium but also as a means of instilling moral and spiritual values. The integration of Islamic values and ethics into technology-based learning can support character development, strengthen digital ethics, and enhance students' learning motivation and digital literacy. Therefore, the utilization of technology in PAI learning should be carried out wisely and remain grounded in Islamic principles in order to create learning that is innovative, relevant, and meaningful, while also addressing the challenges of education in the digital era.

Abstract

This article examines the concept of digital footprints on TikTok and Instagram platforms as modern deed records from the Al Qur'an perspective, exploring the opportunities for ongoing charity versus ongoing sin including the increasingly troubling phenomenon of online gambling (judol), and the urgency of Islamic digital ethics and literacy for contemporary social media users. The research method used is library research with a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, integrating relevant Al Qur'anic verses such as QS. Qaf: 18 about the recording angels Raqib and Atid, QS. Az-Zalzalah: 7-8 regarding accountability of deeds, and QS. Al-Baqarah: 219 about the principle of balancing benefits and harms, supplemented by related hadiths and various contemporary literature sources. The research findings indicate that digital traces in the form of videos, likes, comments, and GPS location data resemble the function of angels tasked with recording every human action. Social media platforms have the potential to become virtual da'wah mediums for spreading useful knowledge widely and continuously, yet they are also vulnerable to negative content that creates perpetual sins through the For You Page algorithm which reinforces exposure based on user preferences. The application of qaulan sadida (honest communication), tabayyun (fact verification), and amar ma'ruf nahi munkar can minimize these risks. This study's conclusion emphasizes that the Al Qur'an can serve as the main guide in maintaining the balance of benefits and harms in the Digital Era. Recommendations include the importance of Islamic digital literacy training in educational institutions and mosques, implementation of judol prevention regulations, and further empirical research needed to explore broader impacts on social media user behavior in Indonesia.

Abstract

The phenomenon of flexing on social media has become increasingly visible in the digital era. This behavior is characterized by individuals displaying wealth, achievements, and certain lifestyles in order to gain attention and social recognition. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of flexing from the perspectives of social psychology and Islam, as well as to examine its impact on the psychological and spiritual conditions of Muslim society. The research employs a qualitative method through a literature study by utilizing various sources, including the Qur’an, interpretations of the Qur’an, social psychology theories, and relevant scientific journals. The collected data were analyzed using thematic content analysis. The findings indicate that flexing behavior is closely related to individuals’ needs for recognition, self-existence, and self-actualization within society. From an Islamic perspective, such behavior may be acceptable if it reflects gratitude and provides positive motivation without involving arrogance or showing off. However, excessive flexing has the potential to encourage consumptive behavior, social anxiety, fear of missing out, and the decline of moral and spiritual values. Therefore, wiser use of social media is necessary through strengthening digital literacy and instilling the values of simplicity and humility in everyday life so that social media can be utilized in a healthier and more responsible manner.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of career factors and economic independence on the phenomenon of late marriage in early adult women (aged 25-35 years) in Indonesia, especially in urban areas of North Sumatra such as Medan. Adopting a mixed-methods design, the study involved a quantitative survey of 250 career female respondents (with age criteria above 25 years old, unmarried, and a minimum income of the city UMR) using the Likert scale to measure career priorities as well as the financial independence index, complemented by logistic regression analysis to test causal relationships. Semi-structural interviews with 20 key informants uncovered an in-depth narrative about the trade-offs between professional ambitions (such as job promotion and income stability) and traditional marriage expectations. Key findings show that women with a bachelor's degree and above and an income of 1.5 times UMR tend to postpone marriage until the average age of 31.4 years, driven by the desire to achieve economic independence (regression coefficient β=0.42, p<0.01) as well as the flexibility of living without partner dependence. However, moderator factors such as Batak or Malay cultural pressures in Medan create internal conflicts, with 68% of respondents reporting social stress from family. Theoretically, the results support role conflict theory in modern family dynamics, while implications include recommendations for work-life balance-based pre-marital counseling programs and corporate policies to support high-quality marriages. This research contributes to the Indonesian family relations literature by highlighting the paradigm shift from patriarchal norms towards gender equality.

Abstract

Pigs hold significant economic, social, and religious value in the Wamena community, becoming an integral part of their customary law. However, the Muslim minority in Wamena faces unique challenges, as they struggle to balance local traditions with Islamic law. This study aims to explore the interpretation of Ahkām verses among minority Muslims in Wamena and analyze the Islamic laws regarding the sale and purchase of pigs in this context. The research is qualitative, combining observations and literature studies. It examines the issues surrounding pig transactions in Wamena and reviews relevant Ahkām verses along with scholarly opinions. The study identifies four patterns in the religious understanding of Wamena Muslims: traditional religion, formal religion, rational religion, and a precursor method that combines traditional practices with reasoning and revelation. Tafsir Ahkām offers solutions for minority Muslims by considering the systematic approach to Ahkām verses, hadith, and the school of jurisprudence. Despite the prohibition of pigs in the Qur’an and hadith, Wamena Muslims’ engagement in pig transactions can be analyzed using fiqh aqalliyyāt principles, such as ijtihād tarjīhi and ijtihād ibdā’i, with an emphasis on gradual implementation and accommodating Islamic and customary laws for minority Muslims in Wamena.
