Abstract

This article examines the improvement of the quality of education at Maktab Nubdzatul Bayan (Maktuba) Al-Majidiyah Islamic Boarding School through the formulation and implementation of effective strategies. This study aims to identify and analyze the strategies implemented by Maktuba Al-Majidiyah Islamic Boarding School in improving the quality of education, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of the implementation of these strategies. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation analysis. Data analysis was conducted through three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. Results: Maktuba Al-Majidiyah Islamic Boarding School has formulated a strategy to improve the quality of education that includes developing a vision, mission, and values, as well as analyzing the internal and external environment. This strategy includes long and short-term programs that are carried out through accelerated methods and the development of santri skills. Strategy implementation is supported by adequate budget allocations and training programs to improve the professionalism of the asatidz. Strategy evaluation is carried out thoroughly and continuously, with weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual evaluations. This study makes an important contribution in understanding the formulation and implementation of strategies to improve the quality of education in pesantren. The findings show that a good and directed strategic approach is able to improve the quality of education effectively and efficiently, as well as meet the community's expectations of quality education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak at SMK YPPI Surabaya. The Independent Learning Curriculum is a new initiative from the Indonesia government that emphasizes learning flexibility and holistic student competency development. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum at SMK YPPI Surabaya has had a positive impact on improving students' understanding of Aqidah Akhlak material. Teachers have an important role in designing interactive and contextual learning according to the needs of students. In addition, the challenges faced include limited resources and adaptation to curriculum changes. However, with collaborative efforts between teachers, students, and school management, the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum is able to improve the quality of Aqidah Akhlak education and form the character of students with noble character.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the project-based learning model applied to PAI subjects in improving the disciplinary attitude of students of Insan Kamil An-Nahdliyah Islamic Junior High School, Wonoayu District. In this study, a qualitative type of research is used, the reason the author uses this method is because this research is a study with ideas that are built more conceptually. Data collection techniques using various literary sources such as books, journals and previous research that has been carried out. From the various reference materials of the Library, they are then analyzed critically and in-depth in order to support their propositions and ideas. Based on the results and discussion, the application of the project-based learning model is able to improve student discipline in Islamic religious education (PAI) subjects. The application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model has proven to be effective in improving discipline and developing students' character in PAI subjects at SMP Islam Insan Kamil An-Nahdliyah. This learning model is recommended to be applied in other schools as an effort to improve the quality of Islamic religious education.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of pesantren traditions, such as Ta’zim, on the emotional and moral development of santri at Ma'had Baitul Qur'an Madura. The purpose of this study is to understand how the social environment and pesantren traditions shape the moral and emotional character of santri. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, involving participatory observation and in-depth interviews with santri and teachers. The results show that pesantren traditions, such as Ta’zim and gotong royong, create an environment conducive to the development of positive morals and emotions, such as empathy and a sense of social responsibility. The findings support Kohlberg's theory of moral development and affirm the importance of social interaction in individual moral formation. The implication of this study is that the pesantren tradition can be an effective model of character education, providing new insights for the development of moral education curricula in various contexts.

Abstract

While pesantren education in Indonesia has great potential in implementing ecological principles, challenges in integrating environmental values often hinder its effectiveness. This study explores how ecological principles are incorporated into the pesantren education system and their impact on environmental conservation practices and awareness of santri. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis using a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. The findings show that ecological principles can be effectively implemented through a holistic approach combining Islamic values with conservation practices. The results reveal that this integration increases environmental awareness among santri and strengthens their Islamic identity as khalifahs responsible for the ecosystem. This research enriches the theory of ecological integration in Islamic education and provides a model that can be applied in other pesantren. Practical implications include guidance for pesantren managers in designing effective environmental curricula and activities. This research also opens pathways for further studies with quantitative or mixed-methods approaches and exploring digital technology in pesantren ecological education.
