Abstract

The fact that the obstacles felt by students in understanding mathematics learning material during blended learning is the background of this research. In addition, technological developments that encourage convenience in almost all areas of life, including education. The 2013 curriculum directs students to take lessons and dominate teaching and learning activities with a scientific approach can also be developed in accordance with existing technological developments. The research is aimed at developing an e-module based on a scientific approach on the material of exponential and logarithmic functions for students of class X SMA/MA which is valid and practical. The e-module that has been developed is validated by experts first, then the e-module is tested at SMA N 1 Padangpanjang. The results obtained in this study are e-modules based on a scientific approach which were developed to meet the very valid and very practical categories. Keywords– E-modul, scientific approach, exponential and logarithmic function

Abstract

The aim of deveopment of blog based learning resources on mathematics learning in eleventh grade of SMAN 2 Padang is to facilitate students learning mathematics materials by using their smartphones. They can access blog based learning resources wherever and whenever they want. Deveopment of blog based learning resources on mathematics learning in eleventh grade of SMAN 2 Padang applies ASSURE model. The procedures of ASSURE model[5]. By following its procedures, the result shows blog based learning resources get valid and practical. Therefore, blog based learning resources on mathematics learning in eleventh grade can be applied in eleventh grade of senior high schools as mathematics learning resources. Keywords–Learning resources, Blog, Mathematics, ASSURE

Abstract

The effect of Self-Efficacy and Learning Independence of SMP Negeri 25 Padang Students on Mathematics Problem Solving Ability. This study sains to determine the effects of self-efficacy and learning independence of students at SMP Negeri 25 Padang on Mathematical Problem Solving Ability. The research method used is a survey method with quantitative research. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 25 Padang in class IX in the academic year 2022/2023. Samples were taken using a simple random sampling technique of 120 students. The instruments used are. questionnaires and tests. The data were analyzed first by data analysis test, namely normality test, linearity test, and multicollinearity test. After the data analysis test was met, then the research hypothesis was tested using simple regression analysis techniques. From the results of the study it was found that: (1) there was a significant influence between self-efficacy on mathematical problem-solving abilities; (2) there is a significant influence between. learning independence on mathematical problem solving abilities; (3) there is a significant influence between self-efficacy on learning independence.  Keywords – Self-Efficacy, Independent Learning, Problem Solving Ability

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the mistakes of students in solving math problems and describe the factors that cause them. This type of research is a descriptive study with the research subject being students of class VIII.5 SMP Negeri 3 Payakumbuh. Test analysis using Newman's error analysis. The results of the analysis showed that the most errors made by students were errors in writing the final answer with a percentage of 28.92%. The mistakes made by students were not being able to write down the context of the problem correctly, not formulating the known and asked questions correctly, not using formulas and methods, wrong in doing calculations and wrong in writing the final answer. The factors that cause students to make mistakes are low talent, students do not focus when learning, do not understand the material, do not understand the prerequisite material, lack of practice with different questions, and lack of motivation from parents. Keywords__Error Analysis, Mathematical Problems, Newman Error Analysis.

Abstract

One of the fundamental aims of studying mathematics is to answer problems. According to the SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP, this ability is still poor and not effectively enabled for growth. Guided inquiry may solve these issues. This research examines whether guided inquiry learning methods help students solve mathematical problems better than standard learning models. Researchers employed a quasi-experiment using a randomized, control-group-posttest only design and random sampling. Conclusion: P-Value = 0.000 from t-test. Data analysis shows that students in class XII IIS SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP who use guided inquiry models solve mathematical problems better than those who use conventional learning models.Keywords– Mathematical Problem Solving Ability, Guided Inquiry, Conventional Learning

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning ability is one of the eight goals of mathematics learning that must be achieved. However, in the fact the mathematical reasoning abilities of Grade VII students in Padang 8 Junior High School were still low. One effort to improve student’s mathematical reasoning ability was to apply the cooperative learning model type Group Investigation. The purpose of this study was to compare the mathematical reasoning abilities of students who learn using the cooperative learning model type Group Investigation with conventional learning in class VII of SMP 8 Padang. This type of research was a quasi-experimental study with the design of Static Group Design. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded several things as follows. obtained P-value = 0.028 < α = 0.05, so in other words mathematical reasoning ability that is learning using the cooperative learning type Group Investigation model is better than those who learn using conventional learningKeywords – cooperative learning model, Group Investigation, Mathematical reasoning ability.

Abstract

This research aims to develop valid and practical student worksheet based on discovery learning model on the straight line equations. This is because the worksheets used in the learning process have not allowed students to participate in finding concepts or principles to build knowledge actively. This research uses the Plomp development model. There are three phases: the preliminary research phase, the development or prototyping phase, and the assessment phase. Data collection methods are interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Data from interviews and observations were analyzed using descriptive techniques. Questionnaire data were analyzed through descriptive statistics. The research results we received were valid and practical worksheets for students. Judging from the presentation aspect, content aspect, discovery learning model, display aspect, and linguistic aspect, the percentage value of the LKPD validity of 83,21% is included in the valid category. Worksheets are also practical because they are easy for students to use. The LKPD practicality ratio of 88,05% is included in the very practical category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the LKPD developed can be used for mathematics education in schools. Keywords – Student Worksheet, Discovery Learning, Straight Line Equations, Plomp

Abstract

Problem solving ability is one of the objectives of learning mathematics that must be achieved by students. However, in reality students' mathematical problem solving abilities in schools are still low. One effort to overcome this problems is to apply the Problem Based Learning model. The ultimate goal of this research is to find out whether the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students who study with the Problem Based Learning model are better than those who learn with conventional learning in class VII SMP N 15 Padang. This type of research is quasi-experimental and the design used is equivalent posttest-only. The population of this study were class VII students at SMP N 15 Padang. The sampling was done using random sampling with simple random sampling technique, obtained class VII 1 as the experimental group  and VII 2 as the control group. Based on the analysis of mathematical problem-solving ability test data, P-value = 0.00 is obtained with a significant level (α = 0.05), because the P-value < α means that H0 is rejected. The conclusion obtained is that students who study with the Problem Based Learning model are better than those who learn with conventional learning in class VII SMP N 15 Padang. Keywords – Problem Based Learning (PBL), Mathematical Problem Solving Abilities

Abstract

Mathematical problem solving ability is one of abilities that  must have by student in mathematics learning. However, the ability of problem solving of students in class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Pariaman is still low. One of efforts that can be done to solve this problem is to implement model of cooperative learning type send a problem. The purpose of this research is to describe whether mathematical problem solving ability of students who study by cooperative learning type send a problemis better than the ability of students who study by direct learning model. Based on analysis data, it can be concluded that the problem solving ability of students who study by cooperative learning type send a problem modelbetter than the problem solving ability of student who study by direct learning with an error rate 5%. This research showed that, the application of cooperative learning type send a problem model giving an influence on student’s mathematical problem solving ability.  Keywords -cooperative learning type send a problem model, direct learning model, ability of mathematical problem solving

Abstract

Learning media is one of the communication tools used in the learning process in the form of lesson materials so that students are more interested in participating in learning activities in order to achieve learning objectives. This study aims to theoretically describe whether the influence of learning media using Macromedia Flash to improve students' mathematical learning outcomes. This type of research is literature study research. This research is a series of activities related to the method of collecting library data, reading and recording, and processing research materials. Data collection techniques used in this study is the study of libraries, namely by collecting data sourced from various journals, books related to objects to be discussed, retrieving library data, reading, recording, and processing research materials with the type of data used is secondary data. After collecting the data then conduct a review of some important terms in the research. Some literature is obtained from various reference sources. An important term defined in this study is the influence of learning media using Macromedia Flash to improve students' mathematical learning outcomes. Then, a journal analysis is conducted based on all the literature that has been obtained by compiling the results of the study. The discussion was conducted by associating the results obtained from journal analysis with existing theories. Then draw conclusions based on the results of the analysis. The last is to make suggestions based on the findings obtained. Based on studies conducted obtained that interactive learning media using Macromedia Flash on learning has an influence to improve learning outcomes. Keywords – Learning Media, Macromedia Flash
