Abstract

This study aims to empirically prove the effect of corporate performance on the quality of corporate social responsibility (CSR) reports, moderated by the company's life cycle stages. The study uses a sample of companies listed in the LQ45 index as of August 2019, registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period from 2017 to 2021. The method used in this study is pooled ordinary least squares (OLS) regression. The results show that corporate performance does not have a significant impact on CSR reports. However, firm life cycle stages have a significant effect with a negative correlation direction on CSR reports, and the impact of corporate performance on CSR reports is moderated by the firm's life cycle stages.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of workplace loneliness on the psychological well-being of Generation Z and Millennial employees in the Greater Jakarta area, considering the role of perceived organisational support and resilience as moderating variables. Using a cross-sectional survey approach with 334 respondents, this study found that loneliness at work negatively affects psychological well-being. In contrast, POS and resilience have a significant positive influence. Resilience was also shown to moderate the relationship between workplace loneliness and psychological well-being, strengthening individuals' ability to deal with loneliness constructively. These results emphasise the importance of developing organisational policies that support employees' social connectedness and resilience to improve psychological well-being and productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of resilience, job security, social support, and job satisfaction on turnover intention among 300 workers in the architecture sector in Indonesia. Using Covariance Based Structural Equation Model, this study found that social support and job satisfaction act as mediators in the relationship between resilience and turnover intention. Social support has a positive influence on turnover intention, different from earlier findings, which may be due to the context of the Indonesian architecture sector. This study contributes to the literature by testing the sequential mediating relationships between resilience, social support, job satisfaction, and turnover intention. Practical implications suggest that this model can be tested in other industries with diverse cultures and characteristics, as well as further studying the potential relationship between job security and perceived social support in more dynamic jobs and diverse levels of job security.

Abstract

This study employs Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis to examine how Indonesian online media construct negative stereotypes of Generation Z in the workplace. Based on an analysis of 15 national news articles (January–May 2025), the findings reveal that narratives such as “lazy,” “spoiled,” and “quick to resign” are consistently reproduced through word choice, institutional quotes, and framing aligned with traditional work values. The discourse operates on three levels: micro (biased linguistic structures), meso (digital market logic), and macro (intergenerational value tensions). These representations are not mere reflections of reality but symbolic practices that reinforce dominant work structures. A critical reading of media discourse and the creation of more inclusive workplaces for younger generations are urgently needed.

Abstract

The concept of fun at work is often discussed in various studies as an activity that supports a positive work climate and provides a variety of positive experiences for employees. However, there is debate in seeing the impact of implementing fun at work in the workplace, especially in the context of public services. To date, research related to fun at work in the context of public services or government institutions is still very limited. By focusing on the civil servants or ASNs in Indonesia, this study aims to explore the perceptions and experiences of fun at work for ASNs. This research was conducted with a qualitative study of 12 ASNs from one of the public service offices in the Jakarta area using a semi-structured in-depth interview method. Analysis of the results shows that fun at work is perceived variously, namely as a 'double-edged sword', an identity balancer, and a medium for egalitarian and family relatedness. This research contributes empirically in enriching the meaning of fun at work in the context of public services and ASN in Indonesia. The results of this study can be used as a reference for organizations in the public sector in implementing various policies that can support a positive work climate.

Abstract

This article examines the discourse surrounding the distribution of religious holiday bonuses (THR) for online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers in Indonesian media using Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) framework. The study reveals that the THR issue extends beyond legal and policy debates, becoming a contested site of meaning among platform companies, the state, media, and drivers. At the micro level, semantic strategies, such as the use of terms like “bonus,” “partner,” and “assistance”,obscure drivers’ legal employment status. At the meso level, corporations and the state dominate discourse production through mainstream media, while drivers’ voices are often marginalized. At the macro level, the discourse is shaped by neoliberal ideology, emphasizing flexibility and meritocracy while downplaying companies’ social responsibilities. The state acts more as a symbolic facilitator than as a substantive regulator. The article concludes that digital labor inequality is reproduced not only through policy structures but also via discursive practices that normalize worker subordination.

Abstract

This research entails an examination of credit risk assessment (credit rating) with respect to credit risk assessment models utilizing accounting data and market data for non-financial corporations in Indonesia between the years 2013 and 2022. The sample comprises credit rating values of 20 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and included in the IDX 80 index, possessing credit ratings from PEFINDO over a ten-year period from 2013 to 2022. Panel data analysis is conducted, employing the multiple linear regression method. The findings of this study reveal that the accounting data-based model demonstrates the significance of liquidity, capital structure, and interest payment ability indicators, while the market data-driven model highlights the influence of equity volatility and market multiples indicators in respect on credit ratings. Moreover, the study concludes that the combined model incorporating accounting data-based and market data-driven models provides a more comprehensive and holistic explanation of credit ratings.
