Abstract

Poverty remains a major problem in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) despite the implementation of development programs, including the development of the tourism sector and the allocation of transfer funds from the central government, such as balancing funds and village funds. Human development through increasing the Human Development Index (HDI) is also continuously pursued as part of the poverty alleviation strategy. This study aims to analyze the influence of tourism, HDI, balancing funds, and village funds on poverty levels in five districts/cities in DIY during the 2016–2023 period. The analysis technique used in this study is the panel data regression method with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) as the best selected model. The results show that tourism and HDI have a significant negative effect on poverty levels, balancing funds have no significant effect on poverty in DIY, and village funds have a significant positive effect on poverty. The implications of this study indicate that the government needs to encourage a more inclusive tourism development model so that its benefits reach a wider community, and prioritize strengthening human development through increasing the HDI for poverty alleviation. Regional governments also need to optimize the use of balancing funds and village funds to be more targeted and support poverty alleviation programs. Improving village fund governance, accountability, and transparency must be a government focus so that the balanced funds and village funds can effectively reduce poverty.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of price, service quality, ease of transaction, and brand loyalty on customer interest in purchasing digital accounts on social media X. Using a quantitative approach with primary data from questionnaires completed by students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (class of 2018–2022, aged 18–24), the study applies simple random sampling and multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that price and ease of transaction negatively affect customer interest, while service quality and brand loyalty have positive effects. It implies that affordable prices must be supported by good service, smooth transactions, and diverse digital products to enhance customer interest.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of savings amount, credit, and member participation on the distribution of the cooperative's Net Income (SHU) among its members, with a case study on the Tegalkatilayu Group of the Village Unit Cooperative (KUD) Mino Saroyo in Cilacap Subdistrict, South Cilacap District. Cooperatives, particularly KUDs, play an important role in empowering rural communities, although their contribution to the national economy remains relatively low. This research used a simple random sampling method with a sample of 99 cooperative members who work as fishermen. Data was collected through interviews and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that savings, credit, and member participation have a positive influence on SHU received by cooperative members. Among these variables, the savings amount is the most dominant factor affecting the SHU received. These findings indicate that the greater the members’ contributions and involvement in cooperative activities, the greater the financial benefits they receive. Therefore, active involvement of cooperative management is needed to encourage member participation so that the cooperative can grow and provide optimal economic benefits to its members.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of corruption on poverty in Indonesia during the period 2001–2021, while considering other macroeconomic variables such as the Human Development Index (HDI), unemployment, and inflation. Using secondary data, the research applies multiple linear regression. The results reveal that corruption has a positive and significant effect on poverty. Conversely, HDI has a negative and significant effect, showing that improved human development reduces poverty. Unemployment also shows a positive relationship with poverty, while inflation has a weaker but still positive impact. These findings underscore the importance of anti-corruption measures, investments in human capital, job creation policies, and inflation control to effectively reduce poverty in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of the Interest Rate Spread (NIM), CAR, NPL, LDR, and BI Rate on MSME lending by publicly listed commercial banks in Indonesia during the period 2010–2015, using the panel data regression method with a Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results indicate that NIM has a positive but insignificant effect, CAR and LDR have positive and significant effects, NPL has a negative and significant effect, while the BI Rate has a negative and insignificant effect on MSME lending. The findings imply the importance of the role of the government, Bank Indonesia, and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in strengthening MSME support and maintaining the stability and supervision of banking financial ratios to enhance MSME credit distribution optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dominance of offline sales in the digital era through a case study of Getuk Goreng Sokaraja Haji Tohirin. Despite the rapid growth of digitalization, offline sales among MSMEs remain crucial for maintaining direct relationships with consumers. Using a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and questionnaires with business owners and consumers, the findings reveal that authentic shopping experiences, face-to-face interactions, and trust in product quality are the main factors influencing consumers to shop offline. While digital platforms offer convenience, social experiences and emotional closeness remain irreplaceable. The main challenges faced by MSMEs in adopting digitalization include limited resources and high shipping costs. Therefore, this study suggests a gradual adoption of digital technologies and enhanced digital training to enable MSMEs to optimize both offline and online sales through a hybrid strategy.

Abstract

The Province of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) faces human development challenges, reflected in its relatively low Human Development Index (HDI) and regional disparities, influenced by poverty, unemployment, gender inequality, and educational participation. This study analyzes the effects of gender inequality, Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR), Open Unemployment Rate (OUR), poverty, and School Participation Rate (SPR) on HDI during 2020–2024 using panel data regression with a Fixed Effect Model (FEM) based on BPS data. The results show all variables are simultaneously significant; partially, poverty and OUR have a negative significant effect, SPR has a positive significant effect, while gender inequality and LFPR are not significant, highlighting the importance of economic and educational factors in improving HDI.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of Regional Original Revenue (PAD), General Allocation Fund (DAU), Capital Expenditure, and Investment on economic growth in East Java during 2020–2024. Using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM), the results show that all variables have positive and significant effects, both partially and simultaneously. PAD strengthens fiscal capacity, DAU maintains stability in low-PAD regions, capital expenditure supports infrastructure and productivity, and investment increases production and employment. These findings align with Keynesian theory. The study highlights the need to optimize PAD, improve DAU allocation, enhance capital expenditure quality, and create a supportive investment climate.
