Abstract

The development of the agricultural sector in enhancing national economic development aims to increase food production to meet domestic consumption. In the agricultural sector there are institutions that manage it, one of which is the Women Farmers Group (KWT). To manage the agricultural sector there are factors that affect KWT business income. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of capital, land area, number of workers and business diversification on KWT income. The Population in this study were 34 Women Farmer Groups (KWT) in Central Cilacap District, Cilacap Regency. The sample used was 34 KWT with saturated sampling method or census. Data collection techniques through interview methods based on questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the average income earned is 26.47% or Rp 188,000.00 - Rp 670.000,00 per one planting period. The capital variable has a significant effect on KWT operating income. The implication of this research is that KWT expands the land to increase the types of vegetable crops and their quality, increases the effectiveness of the performance of the number of workers and increases the types of business diversification by processing agricultural products so that they have a high selling value which can increase the income earned.

Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes the determinants of the Rupiah exchange rate (EXR) against the US Dollar from 2021 to 2023, focusing on the effects of net exports (EM), inflation (INF), interest rates (INT), and world oil prices (OIL). Using time series data and the ARDL model, the results show that net exports (EM) and world oil prices (OIL) have no significant impact. Inflation (INF) has a negative and significant effect in the long run, while interest rates (INT) have a positive and significant effect in both the short and long run. These findings highlight the importance of inflation control, consistent monetary policy, and energy diversification in maintaining exchange rate stability and macroeconomic resilience.

Abstract

From a theoretical standpoint, volatility in the capital market and the foreign exchange market is linked through a bidirectional causal mechanism, underscoring the close interdependence between the rupiah exchange rate and equity prices in Indonesia. This study aims to empirically investigate the nature and dynamics of this relationship, thereby providing robust validation of the interconnection between the two markets. Utilizing a time series framework, specifically the Vector Autoregression (VAR) model, the analysis covers the period from 1995 to 2024. The empirical findings confirm the existence of a two-way causal linkage between the rupiah exchange rate and equity prices, with both markets exhibiting strong and immediate responses to shocks originating in either domain.

Abstract

Java has the highest labour force in Indonesia, which contributes to an elevated open unemployment rate due to the imbalance between job seekers and available vacancies. Previous studies have shown that factors such as the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP), education level, digital literacy, and informal employment may influence unemployment. Despite being the nation’s economic hub, Java records the highest open unemployment rate in Indonesia. This study aimed to examine the effects of the Provincial Minimum Wage, education level, digital literacy, and informal employment on the open unemployment rate in six provinces in Java from 2015 to 2022. A quantitative approach was applied using secondary data and the Fixed Effect Model for panel data analysis. The findings show that the Provincial Minimum Wage does not significantly affect the open unemployment rate. In contrast, higher education levels, improved digital literacy, and greater availability of informal employment significantly reduce unemployment. These results suggest that policymakers should focus on enhancing workforce skills through training, expanding access to education, and supporting informal sectors such as micro, small, and medium enterprises to create broader employment opportunities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the success rate of the Family Hope Programme (PKH) on two variables, namely the effectiveness of the Family Hope Programme (PKH) and the effectiveness of the use of Family Hope Programme (PKH) funds. This thesis was conducted in Jembangan Village, which is the village with the most beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Banjarnegara Regency. The data used in this study are qualitative data that have been quantified. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire distributed to 102 respondents, consisting of 51 Family Hope Programme (PKH) beneficiary families and 51 respondents comprising village officials and local community leaders. To ensure the validity of each questionnaire item, validity and reliability tests were conducted. The analysis technique used a Rating Scale and difference tests (normality test and independent test) to measure effectiveness and differences. Based on the results of the study using Rating Scale analysis and difference tests, it can be concluded that: (1) The Family Hope Programme (PKH) is effective in its implementation; (2) The use of Family Hope Programme (PKH) funds is quite effective; and (3) There is a difference in the level of effectiveness of the Family Hope Programme (PKH) and the effectiveness of the allocation of PKH funds. It is hoped that there will be continuity and greater oversight of the programme to increase its effectiveness. This research has not been carried out to its full potential due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of corruption on poverty in Indonesia during the period 2001–2021, while considering other macroeconomic variables such as the Human Development Index (HDI), unemployment, and inflation. Using secondary data, the research applies multiple linear regression. The results reveal that corruption has a positive and significant effect on poverty. Conversely, HDI has a negative and significant effect, showing that improved human development reduces poverty. Unemployment also shows a positive relationship with poverty, while inflation has a weaker but still positive impact. These findings underscore the importance of anti-corruption measures, investments in human capital, job creation policies, and inflation control to effectively reduce poverty in Indonesia.

Abstract

The tourism sector in Indonesia, particularly on the island of Java, has great potential, but its contribution to local government revenue remains low, leading to a reliance on central government transfers. This study analyses the impact of the number of tourist destinations, per capita GDP, tourist accommodation, and road length in five provinces on the island of Java from 2013 to 2023 using panel data regression with a fixed effects model. The results indicate that, collectively, all four variables significantly influence PAD, while individually, only tourist accommodation and road length have a significant impact. Implications suggest that policies should focus on improving the quality of accommodation services, developing and upgrading road networks, and standardising accommodation facilities.
