Abstract

The global shift from shareholder primacy to stakeholder capitalism has put criteriaEnvironmental, Social, and Governance(ESG) as the gold standard for corporate success. However, there is a significant gap between high-level ESG commitments and tactical implementation in Human Resource Management (HRM). This study develops a conceptual framework for integrating ESG criteria into strategic HR planning through a systematic narrative review of the literature from 2016–2026. The study reveals that the "Environmental" pillar is operationalized through green recruitment and sustainability competencies, while the "Social" pillar emphasizesDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion(DEI) and employee well-being. Crucially, the often-overlooked "Governance" pillar in HRM discourse is integrated through ethical leadership, remuneration transparency, and meritocracy-based succession planning. This integration transforms the role ofHR Business Partner into a Sustainability Partner, redefined through the lensResource-Based View(RBV) and Institutional Theory. This framework provides a strategic roadmap for organizations to increase long-term resilience and legitimacy in a competitive talent market.

Abstract

Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is increasingly valued for its nutritional and therapeutic properties, offering a strategic opportunity for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Yet, limited standardization, weak branding, and inconsistent pricing hinder competitiveness. This study analyzes how pricing strategy, brand equity, and product quality individually and jointly influence consumer purchase decisions for VCO products in North Minahasa Regency. Using a quantitative, associative-causal design, data were collected from 100 consumers selected through purposive sampling. Multiple linear regression reveals that product quality exerts a positive and significant influence on purchase decisions (p < 0.05), whereas pricing strategy and brand equity show no significant individual effects. Nevertheless, all three variables together significantly affect purchase behavior (F = 6.166, p = 0.001), explaining 16.2 percent of total variance. The findings underscore that consumers prioritize functional attributes; purity, clarity, and durability over price or brand cues. Policy-wise, the study recommends value-based pricing, consistent quality control, and long-term brand building to strengthen MSME competitiveness in Indonesia’s coconut industry.

Abstract

Internships are vital for youth transitions into work but often lack legal protection and coherent Human Resource Management (HRM) design. This study examines Indonesia’s apprenticeship law and HRM frameworks to assess alignment and propose reforms. The objectives are to map statutory rules, identify enforcement gaps, and recommend HRM-informed policies. The method is normative juridical using library research of primary legal sources, ministerial regulations, and doctrinal literature. Analysis follows a deductive doctrinal method, extracting legal norms and synthesizing them with HRM concepts on program design, supervision, compensation, assessment, and governance. Implementation focused on close reading of Law Number 13 of 2003 on Employment and Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 6 of 2020. Findings indicate that the legal framework mandates written apprenticeship agreements, supervisory provisions, allowances, safety coverage, and certification, yet enforcement is inconsistent. Gaps include variable allowance practices, weak monitoring, and limited sanctions that permit exploitative placements. Conceptual HRM analysis suggests that clear competency outcomes, trained mentors, transparent compensation, and governance reduce exploitation and improve employability. The study concludes that strengthening legal standards must be paired with regulator-backed HRM guidance and employer incentives. Recommendations prioritize enforcement enhancement, minimum allowance benchmarks, mentor capacity building, and co-designed assessment rubrics with education partners.

Abstract

Abstract

The rapid emergence and adoption of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) have catalyzed a fundamental paradigm shift in strategic marketing, accelerating the transition beyond mere operational automation toward a sophisticated collaborative intelligence model. This paper explores the profound reconceptualization of modern marketing strategies through the theoretical lens of Service-Dominant Logic (S-DL) and value co-creation. Adopting a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) perspective, this study investigates how GenAI acts not merely as an efficiency-enhancing tool, but as an active, cognitive participant in the value creation process, bridging the gap between firm-led innovation and customer-driven value. By synthesizing current literature and practical frameworks, this research proposes a new strategic model wherein GenAI facilitates hyper-personalization at scale delivering tailored customer journeys and AI-generated content that adapts to user behavior in real-time. This model redefines the boundaries of marketing, offering a roadmap for balancing technological efficiency with human-centric strategic intent, thereby fostering deeper engagement and sustainable competitive advantage in the digital marketplace.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of financial literacy and financial technology (Fintech) on financial inclusion and its implications for the sustainability of MSMEs managed by women. The research population included women MSME entrepreneurs in South Sulawesi Province, with a sample of 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling based on two criteria, namely (1) women MSME entrepreneurs and (2) type of business. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach. The results of the study indicate that financial literacy and financial inclusion have a positive effect on the sustainability of women's MSMEs. Conversely, fintech does not have a significant effect on business sustainability. In addition, financial literacy has been proven to affect financial inclusion. The novelty of this study is that it integrates the variables of financial literacy and fintech in the context of the sustainability of women's MSMEs with various business type variables and uses the SEM-PLS method, which is considered the most appropriate for analyzing the causal relationship between variables. The implications of the research results emphasize the importance of improving financial literacy through comprehensive education and training programs and an inclusive approach to broaden understanding of fintech use, strengthening managerial capacity and financial management skills. Adequate knowledge-based capacity is a key factor in supporting resilience and the sustainability of women's MSMEs in the future.
