Abstract

This study is entitled an analysis of library accessibility for disabled people based on the IFLA standard at the South Sumatra Province Library Office. This study aims to analyze and describe the accessibility of libraries for the disabled based on IFLA standards in the South Sumatra Library Office. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. Data collection methods used in this study were by interview, documentation and observation based on the IFLA standard checklist in the field. From the research that has been done, the results show that the suitability level of accessibility is 42 out of 102 items or 41.17%, while that which is not appropriate there are 60 items out of 102 items or 58%. it can be said that the accessibility of libraries for the disabled based on IFLA standards in the South Sumatra Province Library Service is not yet appropriate. From the situation in fulfilling the accessibility of disabilities in the library. The constraints that the results of this research South Sumatra Library have to face are the main ones in terms of funding. The available funds are inadequate to provide special facilities for people with disabilities, besides the constraints of human resources. Human resources do not yet have special competencies for the development of both collections and special infrastructure facilities for the disabled. Besides that, librarians do not yet have the special service competency of people with disabilities. In terms of collaboration, the library has difficulty finding suitable partners to establish cooperation in fulfilling services for the disabled. To increase the service for the disabled library should provide training to librarians in providing services for users with special needs or disabled

Abstract

This article discusses trends in Indonesia's international scientific publications in the 2015-2019 period. Indonesian international scientific publications are sourced from the Scopus data base and the data were analyzed using a bibliometric approach with visualization of VOSviewer version 1.6.15. The results show that Indonesia's international publications during the 2015-2019 period experienced a significant increase, namely 8,373 publications in 2015 to 46,028 publications in 2019, or an increase of 5.5 times from the publication in 2015. Munir, A was recorded as the most productive writer with produced 239 publications during those five years, followed by Sarno, R (221 publications), Purnomo, MH (207 publications), Hidayanto, A.N. (182 publications), and Rahim, R. (167 publications). Universitas Indonesia as the institution with the most publications with 11,661 articles, followed by the Bandung Institute of Technology (8,961 publications), Gadjah Mada University (7,369 publications), Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (5,096 publications), and Diponegoro University (4,997 publications). Other results show that most (50.9%) publications produced by authors from Indonesia are published in Scopus indexed international proceedings (such as the IOP Conference Series, AIP Conference Proceedings, MATEC Web of Conferences, E3S Web of Conferences, and ACM International Conference Proceedings. Series), and articles in international journals (46.7%). The most collaborators came from Malaysia (5,780 articles), Japan (5,373 articles), Australia (3,253 articles), the United States (2,849 articles), and England (2,194). Engineering is the most predominantly published research field, this is confirmed by the top 3 sources of publications, namely the Journal of Physics Conference Series (10.61%), IOP Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science (8.28%), and IOP Conference Series Materials Science and Engineering (6.33%). The conclusion of this study shows that there is a significant increase in Indonesian international publications indexed by Scopus of 549.71% during the 2015-2019 period. This significant increase stems from the publication of articles by Indonesian authors in international proceedings.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out how information seeking behavior of English Literature major students from Diponegoro University using internet to completing their college assignments. This study used qualitative method and purposive sampling in selecting informants with semi-structured interview as a data collection. The interview conducted on 12 undergraduate students from Diponegoro University’s English Literature major. This study used thematic analysis in analyzing the data. The results of this study show that undergraduate students from Diponegoro University’s English Literature major need information that can help them completing their college assignments which can be found by conducting information seeking activities. Information seeking activities carried out by these students used internet with sources such as search engine Google, scientific journals sites, downloadable literary works sites, sites that provide information related to literary works, movie streaming apps and social media. Information seeking activities are carried out by determining the sources, seeking information, selecting information, evaluating information, checking the credibility of information, monitoring the development of information and applying it to their college assignments. The problem that students experienced while doing information seeking activities is a certain kinds of information that are difficult to find.

Abstract

The development of information technology-based services that are currently carried out by school library managers must of course be balanced with the skills of managers in the field of using information technology devices and the ability to manage management in school libraries. These skills are very much needed considering that managing an organization such as a library requires a high focus and being able to innovate the services that are managed so that the dissemination of information products can be carried out optimally. Departing from the problems experienced by many school librarians, the initiative to conduct community service emerged with the main idea of school library management at various school levels. Community service is carried out to assist school library managers in understanding the process or workflow of school library management appropriately, while also providing understanding and skills in terms of service development, use of library information systems and other developments regarding the use of library information systems that can be used. optimally in the process of disseminating library information. The target of community service is the manager of the school library in general and members of the Pamekasan ATPUSI in particular for those who do not have a library educational background. This community service activity is carried out within a month divided into 4 sessions or parts with each session driven by lecturers whose knowledge is linear with the material presented. The PKM participants are more than 50 people, most of whom are school librarians, and a small number are university librarians. PKM activities went well from start to finish, participants also received rewards in the form of electronic certificates containing the amount of training time that the participants had undergone which was certainly useful as a support for their performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pendayagunaan alat bantu seleksi bahan pustaka oleh para petugas perpustakaan dalam kegiatan pengembangan koleksi. Lokasi penelitian ini di perpustakaan pusat Universitas Padjadjaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Untuk pengumpulan datanya dilakukan melalui wawancara, pengamatan lapangan dan studi kepustakaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa 1). Untuk prosedur penyeleksian bahan pustaka dimulai dari berbagai saran, masukan baik lisan maupun tertulis yang masuk ke bagian layanan sirkulasi, layanan referensi maupun layanan majalah. 2). Penggunaan alat bantu seleksi oleh petugas perpustakaan pusat Universtas Padjadjaran belum berjalan secara optimal, artinya dari beberapa alat bantu yang tersedia saat ini alat bantu yang dipergunakan hanya yang berupa katalog penerbit, daftar katalog dalam media internet seperti amazon. com, 3). Alasan pihak perpustakaan pusat Universitas Padjadjaran dalam menggunakan beberapa alat bantu seleksi tertentu seperti katalog penerbit dan katalog dalam media internet yakni faktor kemudahan dalam penggunaan alat bantu tersebut, 4) hambatan perpustakaan pusat Universitas Padjadjaran dalam menggunakan alat bantu seleksi yaitu keterbatasan jumlah tenaga dan kurang lengkap alat bantu seleksi khususnya untuk seleksi bahan pustaka berupa majalah dan bahan non buku.This study aims to determine the utilization of the library material selection tool by the librarians in the collection development activities. The location of this research is in the central library of Padjadjaran University. The method used in this study used a qualitative approach to the type of case study research. For data collection is done through interviews, field observation and literature study. Based on the result of research known that 1). For library selection procedure begins with various suggestions, input both oral and written into the circulation services, reference services and magazine services. 2). The use of the selection tool by the librarian of Universtas Padjadjaran University has not run optimally, meaning that from some tools currently available the tools used only in the form of catalog of publishers, catalog list in internet media such as amazon.com, 3). The reason of the library center of Universitas Padjadjaran in using certain selection tools such as catalog of publisher and catalog in internet media that is factor of easiness in the use of the tool, 4) constraint of library of University of Padjadjaran in using selection tool that is limited of number of manpower and less complete tool Aids selection, especially for the selection of library materials such as magazines and non-book materials.

Abstract

In the various of librarian forums are still intense and interesting to discuss about the competence and professionalism of librarians, this is because of the profession of librarians in this era of globalization is a very strategic profession and received a very wide attention among libraries, especially in the library of universities in terms of Information management. Competence and professionalism for those who hold this profession are a challenge and discussed in the various of librarian forums in the global era. Librarian readiness to face the digital era in meeting the needs of users who are very diverse information by the user cannot be considered normal, As information managers, librarians in the era of information flooding in cyberspace today requires competence and professionalism as the librarian definitions contained in Law no. 43 of 2007 on libraries, that librarian is someone who has competence obtained through education and / or training librarianship and has the duty and responsibility to implement library management and services. Librarians are currently dealing with users who are called “native engine” users who are not separated daily with information technology tools that all want fast, easy and efficient in terms of information accessibility. Information packs that will slowly shift from paper to soft sources into librarian bets to understand and be able to manage and distribute various of information in the data base. The third millennium is an information age that forces librarians to begin switching paradigms and repositioning their roles over the years. The independence and productivity of librarians to change and become agents of change for themselves and society, and being able to position themselves as information managers for the community is imperative. The competence of librarians in terms of online research skills should also be held to anticipate the needs of users, especially researchers who are in dire need of various sources that have been packaged in digital form, as the researcher consumption must be obtained from E’Journal and publication also through open journal system or scopus is a challenge for librarians as information manager. One of the aims of this paper is to publicize and reveal what librarians need to anticipate in the era of information flooding in the face of technological developments and the current changing phenomenon, so librarians must be able to uncover what is changing and what should to do. Kesiapan pustakawan menghadapi era digital dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna yang sangat beragam akan informasi oleh pengguna tidak bisa dianggap biasa, Sebagai pengelola informasi, pustakawan di era banjir informasi di dunia maya saat ini menuntut kompetensi dan profesionalisme sebagaimana definis pustakawan yang tertuang di dalam UU No. 43 Tahun 2007 tentang perpustakaan, bahwa pustakawan adalah seseorang yang memiliki kompetensi yang diperoleh melalui pendidikan dan / atau pelatihan kepustakawanan serta mempunyai tugas dan tanggung jawab untuk melaksanakan pengelolaan dan pelayanan perpustakaan. Pustakawan saat ini berhadapan dengan pengguna yang disebut “native engine” pengguna yang kesehariannya tidak lepas dengan alat-alat teknologi informasi yang serba ingin cepat , mudah dan efisien dalam hal aksesbilitas informasi. Kemasan informasi yang lambat laun akan bergeser dari kertas ke soft sources menjadi taruhan pustakawan untuk memahamai dan mampu mengelola dan mendistribusikan berbagai informasi dalam database. Abad millenium ke tiga merupakan abad informasi yang memaksa pustakawan untuk mulai beralih paradigma dan melakukan reposisi terhadap perannya selama ini. Kemandirian dan Produktivitas pustakawan untuk berubah dan menjadi agen perubahan bagi diri dan masyarakat, serta mampu menempatkan dirinya sebagai manajer informasi bagi masyarakat adalah keharusan. Kompetensi pustakawan dalam hal online research skill juga harus dimiliki untuk mengantisipasi kebutuhan pengguna terutama peneliti yang sangat membutuhkan berbagai macam sumber yang sudah dikemas dalam bentuk digital, sebagai konsumsi peneliti yang mesti diperoleh dari E’Journal dan publikasinya juga melalui open journal system atau scopus adalah merupakan tantangan tersendiri bagi pustakawan sebagai information manager. Salah satu tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah untuk mempublikasikan dan mengungkap hal-hal yang perlu diantisipasi oleh pustakawan pada era banjir informasi yang berhadapan langsung dengan perkembangan teknologi serta fenomena perubahan yang yang terjadi saat ini, sehingga pustakawan harus bisa mengungkap apa yang berubah dan apa yang seharusnya dilakukan. Tuntutan kebutuhan pengguna perpustakaan yang semakin beragam pada era teknologi informasi ini, perpustakaan perlu mempersiapkan pustakawan yang profesional dan kompeten dibidangnya yang menurut beberapa hasil penelitian kepustakawan belum menggembirakan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to find out how much influence the quality of service reflected in responsiveness, assurance, empathy and physical evidence affect the library consumers. The data used in this study is using primary data by distributing questionnaires. The sample size in this study were 100 respondents who were library visitors. This study uses explanatory research that uses a quantitative approach with validity, reliability, T-test and F-test. The results of this study indicate that visitor satisfaction is positively and significantly affected by service quality. Recommendations resulting from this research for library practitioners are the preparation of library visit marketing strategies from the aspect of increasing library visitor satisfaction.Keywords : service quality, satisfaction, library ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh kualitas layanan yang tercermin dalam daya tanggap, jaminan, empati dan bukti fisik berpengaruh pada konsumen perpustakan. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan data primer dengan cara penyebaran kuisioner. Ukuran sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 responden yang merupakan pengunjung perpustakaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan explanatory research yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan uji validitas, uji reabilitas, uji T dan uji F.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan pengunjung dipengaruhi secara positif dan signifikan oleh kualitas layanan. Abstract

AbstractIn accordance with the National Education System Law of 2003 Number 20 paragraph 3. Higher education has the task of carrying out education, research and community service or what is commonly known as the Tri Dharma of Education. Higher education libraries have an information function, namely facilitating access to students and the academic community to obtain information to support the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Libraries are responsible for compiling collections or information, both printed and non-printed (digital). Non-print access is required because of the habit of reading digital documents. The digital sources served by the IAIN Salatiga library currently are electronic journals including The MIT Press, JStor, and Emerald Insight, while the IAIN Salatiga library e-books subscribes to Ebscohost and Pustabiblia. This research examines the use of e-resources by IAIN Salatiga postgraduate students. The use of e-resources referred to in this study refers to the Techonology Acceptance Model (TAM) theory developed by Davis (1986). This research is a quantitative study with a correlation approach. The research instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. There are 3 tests, the first has no effect, namely information literacy on the ease of use of e-resources. Two other tests show an effect. First, information literacy has an effect on perceived usefulness or perceptions of the usefulness of e-resources. It can be concluded that students who have information literacy perceive that e-resources from the IAIN Salatiga Library are useful. Second, information literacy affects actual to use or direct use of e-resources. IAIN Salatiga students who have information literacy skills will use the e-resources subscribed to by the IAIN Salatiga Library.  AbstrakSesuai Undang-undang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional Tahun 2003 Nomor 20 ayat 3. Perguruan tinggi mempunyai tugas menjalankan Pendidikan, penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat atau yang biasa dengan istilah Tri Dharma Pendidikan. Perpustakaan perguruan inggi memiliki fungsi informasi yaitu memfasilitasi akses mahasiswa maupun civitas akademika untuk memperoleh informasi guna menunjang Tri Dharma Perguruan tinggi. Perpustakaan bertanggung jawab untuk menghimpun koleksi atau informasi baik berbentuk cetak maupun non cetak (digital). Akses non-cetak diperlukan karena adanya pola kebiasaan membaca dokumen digital. sumber digital yang dilayankan oleh perpustakaan IAIN Salatiga saat ini adalah jurnal elektronik diantaranya The MIT Press, JStor, dan Emerald Insight, sedangkan untuk e-book perpustakaan IAIN Salatiga  melanggan Ebscohost dan Pustabiblia Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai pemanfaatan e-resources oleh mahasiswa pascasarjana IAIN Salatiga. Pemanfaatan e-resources yang dimaksudkan dalam penelitian ini mengacu teori Techonology Acceptance Model (TAM) yang dikembangkan oleh Davis (1986). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasi. Instrumen penelitian yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner. Terdapat 3 pengujian, pertama tidak memiliki pengaruh yaitu literasi informasi terhadap kemudahan penggunaan e-resources. Dua pengujian lainnya menunjukkan adanya pengaruh. Pertama, literasi informasi berpengaruh terhadap perceived of usefulness atau persepsi mengenai kegunaan / manfaat e-resources. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa yang memiliki literasi informasi berpersepsi bahwa e-resources dari Perspustakaan IAIN Salatiga bermanfaat. Kedua, literasi informasi berpengaruh terhadap actual to use atau penggunaan e-resources secara langsung. Mahasiswa IAIN Salatiga yang memiliki kemampuan literasi informasi akan menggunakan e-resources yang dilanggan Perpustakaan IAIN Salatiga.

Abstract

The user interface of digital libraries during the special conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic is one of the leading indicators that need attention from libraries. Library users will always choose easy access, fast and recommended by library users by word of mouth. The User Interface will affect the user experience in using the digital library. This research is essential to find out the description of user experience in using digital libraries during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to describe the user experience, which includes emotions, perceptions, attitudes, and responses in using digital libraries. This study uses a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review method using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) software guide from Kitchenham. User experience in using digital libraries is influenced by emotions and perceptions of digital library users because the urgency of using digital library services is increasingly substantial during the pandemic. In conclusion, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the user experience, especially in the crisis that has created user awareness to use digital libraries. Considering that research related to User Experience in digital libraries during the COVID-19 pandemic is still lacking, the researchers suggest that further research be carried out with a quantitative approach to obtain valid data.

Kepemimpinan merupakan sebuah kegiatan yang dilakukan seseorang untuk mempengaruhi orang lain atau kelompok untuk menyetujui dan menyepakati sebuah inisiatif atau gagasan demi pencapaian tujuan bersama. Kepemimpinan juga tidak akan lepas dari sebuah hubungan atau interaksi antara pemimpin dan orang-orang yang dipimpinnya. Dalam hal ini kepemimpinan mempunyai peranan menentukan sebagai satu kekuatan atau kewibawaan dalam menghimpun dan menggerakkan segala sumber daya di dalam kerjasama antara pemimpin dan bawahannya. Pemimpin dengan integritas menginspirasi keyakinan diri dalam diri orang lain karena mereka bisa dipercaya untuk melakukan apa yang mereka katakan akan mereka lakukan. Pada dasarnya, integritas membuat seorang pemimpin dapat dipercaya dan layak mendapat kepercayaan sehingga didalam perpustakaan dapat menimbulkan suasana yang baik, nyaman, informasi yang disajikan dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh para pemustaka.
