<![CDATA[The development of information and communication technology (ICT) is maked by variouspatterns of information acquisition with various types and media formats. The presenceof mobile communication devices, online media, online games, web technology, socialnetworking applications such as: facebook, WhatsApp, line and other social networkingthat makes users stay connected. This phenomenon becomes a challenge for informationmanagers (librarians) and information providers (Library) to make changes through theapplication of information technology both in the library management and library services.The Library of Lampung University has innovated digital technology in library servicesthrough Unila Library Mobile service. The purpose of this research is to: 1) describe UnilaLibrary Mobile service as digital technology innovation of The Library of Lampung University;2) explain the advantages and disadvantages of Unila Library Mobile service. Thisresearch uses qualitative descriptive method with data collection through observation andliterature study. Observations to visitors of the Library of Lampung University, especiallyvisitors of reference services in the collection search process and tracing information online.Library study through literature-literature related to the object of this research. The resultof this research is Unila Library Mobile service is the digital technology innovation of TheLibrary of Lampung University as an effort to improve the utilization of Library service. TheUnila Library Mobile service has the advantage of providing library services in a practical,easy and efficient manner in utilizing them, but has disadvantages as well: Unila LibraryMobile service can not be accessed if the server at the Lampung University is eror; powerlines off; if you want to access outside the Lampung University must have free wifi; and ifyou want to access with a smartphone must have a quota.]]>

<![CDATA[The theme of this article is the role of librarians in disruption era. This study uses qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The informants from this study were librarians from all elements who visited and were met at IAIN Saaltiga. Informant was taken randomly. Data collection is done using interviews and documents. The problem of this research is the strategy to development that threatens to shift the role of librarians. The results of this study are that librarians are required to map their developments, weaknesses, and develop the skills needed according to development. The reliability of the librarian is an advanced point of professionalism which is then oriented to the ability to maintain self quality. Competency is the ability in terms of Listening, Informatin acceptance, Public relations, Social relationships, Time management, Interpersonal, and Communication skills.]]>

<![CDATA[Implementation of information retrieval activities in a library is inseparable from the work role of the librarian, for that in a library there needs to be a written policy regarding standard operating procedures for preservation of collections in the library. This research traced information based on standard library procedures regarding collection development policies based on legal standards or preservation SOP policies, with qualitative research methods with the Snowball Sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that in the UST library has not implemented standard operating procedures in preservation collection activities, this is reflected in the process of preservation activities do not have a preservation SOP that is based on the legal basis for preservation of the collection as stated in the SOP document control contained in SOP No. 001.002 / ot 01 01 / isn 6, Law Number 13 of 2018 concerning transfer of printed and recorded works, Regulation of the Head of the National Library Number 16 of 2014 concerning procedures for storing and using special collections and SNI 7330: 2009 for Higher Education libraries.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to: describe the practice of implementing knowledge management in the management of the Jurnal Pustaka Ilmiah Journal, and to find out what activities are oriented towards increasing the culture of sharing knowledge in the management of the Jurnal Pustaka Ilmiah Journal. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation and documentation methods. The informants in this study were the managers of the current and previous Jurnal Pustaka Ilmiah Journal, amounting to 4 people. The data presented in a narrative format and equipped with supporting pictures in several parts. The findings of this study are that Jurnal Pustaka Ilmiah Journal’s human resources was still very limited, but have a strong commitment. Jurnal Pustaka Ilmiah Journal was led by an egalitarian leadership style. Communication between managers is carried out over various media both synchronously and asynchronously. Institutions play a role in providing material-immaterial support in this matter even though the intensity is still limited to ceremonial. Meanwhile, the learning process in managing Jurnal Pustaka Ilmiah Journal found that managers did not hesitate to try new things to improve the quality of journal management. The success of the knowledge transfer process is not the success of the journal manager alone, but rather needs to get support from various elements, such as the participation of parent institutions which is not limited to ceremonial to create a strong and professional management. This will have implications for increasing the confidence of readers and writers in Jurnal Pustaka Ilmiah as a credible reference in the field of library and information sciences.]]>

<![CDATA[Advertising is an effective marketing medium in influencing the target market. In the Ponds advertisement, boxing training and libraries as the content became interesting research objects because there were reactions from the audience of the advertisements which indirectly showed how the perspective of libraries among Z generation. This study used a qualitative approach with a critical paradigm to reveal social representations and realities in Ponds advertisements on television and on YouTube channels. Data collection techniques was used documentation and interviews with 10 Z generation informants who have watched the Pond’s White Beauty Facial Foam ads. Data analysis used Stuart Hall reception analysis to analyze the meanings behind the messages conveyed by the Ponds advertisement. Result and discussion showed that the library was described as unfavorite places among the millennial generation on frame of Ponds advertisement. Social reality was obtained that the millennial generation sees the library as the place to read the books and they do not need to go to the library anymore to read. Furthermore, the Ponds advertisement content gave denotative and connotative meanings at the same time. Understanding of libraries needs to be done so as not to trigger misunderstandings among stakeholders, causing negative stigma and stereotypes. The strategy was rebranding the library with an approach to internal and external aspects. Conclusion, the library rebranding effort is a solution to improve the stigma and stereotypes that develop in society. The effectiveness of the rebranding process is determined by the interaction between stakeholders.]]>

<![CDATA[A thesaurus limits its scope to specific subjects or related to certain subjects and is a means of standardizing terms created as a tool in the process of organizing information. A principle-compliant index language is required when organizing information. A user warrant and literary warrant approach can be used to construct a thesaurus with a particular subject. User warrant means the collection of terms based on users’ frequency of use of a term, while the literary warrant is carried out with an accurate survey of a word, phrase, or term contained in literature. The results of the analysis in the form of a thesaurus prototype can be used as a tool for document indexing and information retrieval. This becomes a tool for classifying and finding collections in the library as collections with various subjects grow. A thesaurus is a form of means of supervising controlled terms post-adjustment or post-coordination. In constructing the thesaurus, an arrangement of entries is formed to show equivalence relationships, hierarchical and associative. The results of the subject thesaurus construction can be used as a basis for further thesaurus development, which is more complete for the indexing process.]]>

<![CDATA[Artikel ini membahas mengenai analisis kebutuhan pelestarian bahan perpustakaan tercetak di perpustakaan. Untuk menyediakan bahan perpustakaan yang berkualitas dan mewujudkan perpustakaan sebagai sumber informasi bagi pemustaka, maka dibutuhkan yang namanya pelestarian bahan perpustakaan. Survei analisis kebutu- han pelestarian bahan perpustakaan sangat penting untuk perencanaan pelestarian. Hal ini didasarkan pada kebutuhan perpustakaan dan tindakan yang diperlukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pelestarian tersebut. Pendekatan yang bisa digunakan oleh perpustakaan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pelestarian bahan perpustakaan yaitu: survei perencanaan pelestarian umum, survei bahan perpustakaan khusus, dan survei kondisi bahan perpustakaan. Hasilnya diperoleh usulan perbaikan bahan perpustakaan yang tertuang dalam urutan prioritas laporan analisis kebutuhan pelestarian dan kebijakan pelestarian. Perencanaan terkait kebijakan dan prosedur untuk kegiatan pelestarian preventif perlu dilakukan untuk meminimalisir kerusakan bahan perpustakaan tercetak.This article discusses the needs analysis of library printed material preservation in the library. To provide a quality library materials and realize the library as a source of information for users, it takes the name of the preservation of library materials. Analysis survey of library material preservation needs is essential for conservation planning. This is based on the library’s needs and the actions necessary to meet these conservation needs. Approaches that libraries can use to analyze the needs of library materials preservation are: public conservation planning surveys, special library material surveys, and library condition survey. The result of the proposed improvement of library materials as stated in the order of priority conservation needs analysis report and conservation policy. Planning related policies and procedures for preventive preservation activities need to be done to minimize damage to printed library materials. ]]>

<![CDATA[Dalam dunia perpustakaan, seorang pustakawan adalah komponen yang paling vital, dimana keberhasilan perpustakaan dalam memberikan layanan informasi sangat ditentukan oleh kualitas, profesionalitas dalam sistem layanan yang berkarakter. Kualitas tenaga pustakawan untuk perpustakaan umum berbeda dengan kulaitas tenaga pustakawan perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Pustakawan adalah kunci utama majunya perpustakaan. Setiap pustakawan dalam berinteraksi dengan orang lain, baik itu sesama pustakawan maupun pengguna (user) terlebih umumnya pada masyarakat pembelajar membutuhkan soft skill. Kesuksesan yang dimiliki oleh pustakawan bukan hanya sekedar keterampilan teknis, melainkan kualitas diri pustakawan yang dilengkapi dengan sifat, sikap dan nilai-nilai kepribadian pustakawan itu sendiri. Penelitian ini fokus terhadap soscial skill sebagai pustakawan sekolah dalam mengembangkan minat baca di perpustakaan sekolah. Keseimbangan antara soft skill dan Comunnicator style yang dimiliki oleh pustakawan ini yang kemudian mampu memberikan energi positif bagi citra perpustakaan dan keprofesionalisme seorang pustakawan itu sendiri. <![CDATA[SISKO was developed since 2005 in SMA Negeri 1 Yogyakarta through the assistance of Kamadeva developer under the auspices of PT. Indonesia Mandiri. The interesting side of this research is SISKO as an integrated information system between the school administration module and the Library, SISKO will be reviewed from the analysis of its library information system design. The research method through a descriptive qualitative research approached, namely by conducted field observation techniques, direct interviews and collected available data. Based on the results of the information system design analysts showed the relationship between data or entities with each other. The focus of the analysis of the design of the library information system at SISKO also showed the detailed process flow especially in circulation services at SMA Negeri 1 Yogyakarta Library. SISKO viewed from the back end through its user interface can run well.]]>
