Abstract

The development of social media in the digital age has brought numerous benefits in terms of communication and the dissemination of information; however, it has also given rise to various legal and ethical issues, such as hoaxes, cyberbullying, hate speech, defamation, and privacy violations. These conditions indicate that the enforcement of cyber laws alone is insufficient to foster responsible digital behavior. This study aims to analyze the role of cyber law in regulating social media activities, examine social media ethics from the perspective of Hindu Religious Education, and explain the integration of both in fostering public digital awareness. The research employs a normative legal method using a literature review approach that examines various laws and regulations, cyber law literature, digital ethics, and the teachings of Hindu Religious Education. The results indicate that cyber law functions as an external instrument regulating societal behavior through norms and sanctions, while Hindu religious education serves as an internal instrument shaping individual moral consciousness. Hindu values such as Dharma, Tri Kaya Parisudha, Ahimsa, and Tat Twam Asi hold strong relevance in fostering social media ethics, enhancing legal awareness, and promoting the wise and responsible use of technology. The integration of cyber law and Hindu religious education can serve as both preventive and repressive strategies in fostering a healthy, ethical digital culture grounded in humanistic values.

Abstract

AbstractThis article analyzes a shift in the political-economic arena of strategic natural resource governance in Indonesia, from licensing politics to the politics of strategic natural resource exports. Since the reform era, studies on natural resources have generally placed permits, concessions, decentralization, and local state-business relations at the center of analysis. However, the centralization of strategic natural resource commodity exports shows that control over natural resources no longer stops at licensing and control over production areas. State control is also moving into the post-production stage, particularly through the regulation of production data, price validation, foreign exchange proceeds from natural resource exports (DHE SDA), trade channels, the Export State-Owned Enterprise/DSI, and access to international markets. This research employs a qualitative approach based on document study, using thematic analysis of regulations, institutional documents, statistical data, academic literature, and credible media reports. The findings show that the politics of strategic natural resource exports forms a new arena in the political economy of natural resources. If licensing politics operates at the entry point of production, the politics of strategic natural resource exports operates at the exit point of commodity value. This shift can strengthen the state’s capacity to read data, prices, and value flows in the natural resource sector. At the same time, however, it also creates risks of authority concentration, administrative monopoly, and a stronger need for legal accountability. The contribution of this article lies in broadening the analysis of state-business relations, from the arena of permits and concessions toward the regulation of data, prices, DHE SDA, export channels, and commodity value flows. Keywords: natural resources; licensing politics; the politics of strategic natural resource exports; state-business relations; legal accountability; DHE SDA.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the regulation of teacher professionalism within the Indonesian education legal system, examine the forms of teachers' legal accountability in the implementation of education during the digital transformation era, and formulate regulatory strengthening that is adaptive to technological developments. This research employs a normative legal research method using statutory and conceptual approaches. The legal materials consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal sources, which are analyzed qualitatively through legal interpretation and legal reasoning. The findings indicate that teacher professionalism has been supported by a strong legal framework through Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, along with other educational regulations. However, digital transformation has expanded the scope of teachers' legal responsibilities beyond administrative obligations to include civil, criminal, ethical, personal data protection, intellectual property, and artificial intelligence-related responsibilities in the learning process. The study also identifies regulatory gaps concerning digital competency standards, digital ethics, the use of artificial intelligence, and the governance of students' personal data protection. Therefore, regulatory harmonization, strengthening teachers' digital competencies, developing national guidelines for the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence in education, and updating the professional code of ethics are necessary to ensure that teacher professionalism remains adaptive, accountable, and capable of providing legal certainty in the implementation of education during the digital transformation era.
