Abstract

Financial performance is an illustration of the level of success achieved by a bank in its operational activities. banking financial performance is a major factor and is very important to assess the overall banking performance by looking at the value of the company. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of CAR, NPL, LDR and BOPO on firm value with profitability as an intervening variable in banking companies. This type of research is quantitative research. As for the sample used in this study, namely 8 bank financial reports published during the 2012-2021 period using the random sampling method. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression and Moderrated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results of the study state that CAR and NPL have no effect on firm value, while LDR and BOPO have a negative and significant effect on firm value. In addition, the results of this study also state that profitability is proven to be able to moderate the relationship between the influence of CAR, NPL, LDR and BOPO on firm value. It is hoped that banking management can focus more on improving the performance of the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and BOPO (Operating Costs to Operating Income), this is because during the study period these variables had a negative and significant effect on Price to Book Value (PBV). Besides that, banking companies also need to pay attention to their profitability. Because profitability is a picture of banking in obtaining profits.

Abstract

Valuation means measuring or identifying the value of the benefits of asset is the root of the stock valuation. Stock valuation is important in making investment decisions because it provides a deep understanding of the intrinsic value of a stock. Through stock valuation research, investors can identify whether a company’s current stock price is below, equal or of above its intrinsic value. By knowing the fair value or fair price of a stock, investors can make more informed decisions about when to buy and sell the stock. This research focuses on PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. using the 2016-2021 time period. This study uses a quantitative approach to the methods used in calculating stock valuations, namely Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM), Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), and Dividend Discount Model (DDM). The result of the study show that the fair value of shares at BBNI based on calculations is Rp.7.506. Individual Return (Ri) of 0,92183 is greater than the Expected Return (E(Ri)) of 0,5368 which means that BBNI shares are in an undervalued position.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of inflation and world gold prices on IDX Sector Financials during the period of 2018-2022 in Indonesia. Different patterns and varied impacts on stock prices during economic crises in Indonesia were found. Monthly secondary data in the form of time series for the period of 2018-2022 were used in this study. The data analysis method employed was the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. The research findings indicate that in the short term, inflation has a negative and significant effect on IDX Sector Financials, while world gold prices have a positive and significant influence. In the long term, inflation does not have an impact on IDX Sector Financials, and world gold prices also have a positive and significant effect. However, this study has limitations, and further research is recommended to expand the observation period and consider additional independent variables and other relevant factors related to IDX Sector Financials. This would provide clearer results and allow for broader generalization within a more extensive scope.
