Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus type 2 requires consistent self-management to prevent complications, particularly among older adults who are vulnerable to disease progression. However, the determinants of diabetes self-management at the primary healthcare level remain insufficiently explored. This study aimed to identify factors associated with self-management among elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Belitung District. Method: A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed involving 127 participants aged 60–69 years selected through multistage random sampling from five primary health centers. Data were collected using validated questionnaires and analyzed using Pearson and point-biserial correlation tests. Results: The results showed that treatment (r = 0.376; p < 0.001), diabetes knowledge (r = 0.260; p = 0.003), perceived benefits (r = 0.183; p = 0.039), self-efficacy (r = 0.308; p < 0.001), and social support (r = 0.314; p < 0.001) were significantly associated with diabetes self-management. Age, gender, education, duration of diabetes, and income were not significantly related)]. Conclusion: These findings highlight the importance of psychosocial and treatment-related factors in improving diabetes self-management among elderly patients at the primary care level. Strengthening education, self-efficacy, and social support may enhance sustainable self-management practices Keywords : Type 2 Diabetic mellitus, Self-management, Self-Efficacy

Abstract

Background: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the blended learning method in nursing education in the Nursing Laboratory during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: This study used a quantitative approach by distributing research questionnaires to determine the level of effectiveness of the blended learning method in nursing education at UIN Jakarta. Results: results of this study indicate that overall the level of effectiveness of the blended learning method in nursing education at UIN Jakarta is good and effective. If you look at the indicators, they are already quite good, such as the indicators of interest or attention, relevance, and literacy towards ICT, the percentage of which has reached above 70%, even for indicators of literacy towards ICT itself, it can reach a percentage of more than 80%. However, it is very unfortunate when viewed from the confidence indicator, the value obtained is still below 70%, which is 68%.. Conclusion: The conclusion is overall the level of effectiveness of the blended learning method in nursing education at UIN Jakarta is good and effective. Abstract

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) is the main source of nutrition for babies aged 0-6 months. Several factors related to exclusive breastfeeding are breastfeeding self-efficacy (BSE), attitude, and knowledge of EBF. One recommended method to improve these efforts is to provide multimedia-based education. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Multimedia Breastfeeding Education and Reflection Program (MediBERpro) in increasing BSE, knowledge, and attitudes about breastfeeding among primiparous mothers. Method: This research used a quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-tests in the control and intervention groups. The data was collected by an online form involving 93 respondents of primiparous mothers obtained by the snowball technique, and were randomly assigned as the control group (n = 51) or the intervention group (n = 42). Results: The results in the intervention group demonstrated a difference with the control group, where the P value <0.05 [BSE (0.000), knowledge (0.000), attitude (0.000)]. The intervention group between the pre-test and post-test scores demonstrated a significant difference with P value <0.05 [BSE (0.000), knowledge (0.000), and attitude (0.000)]. Conclusion: The conclusion is that MediBERpro can significantly increase BSE, knowledge, and attitudes among primiparous mothers. Therefore, MediBERpro is applicable to increase the EBF rate. 000) and attitude (0.000)). The conclusion is that MediBERpro can significantly increase BSE, knowledge, and attitudes among primiparous mothers. Therefore, MediBERpro is applicable to increase the rate of EBF. 000) and attitude (0.000).   Keywords: Academic burnout, nursing students, peer assessment, self-efficacy

Abstract

Abstract Background: High academic demands can exert significant pressure on students, increasing the risk of Academic burnout. Self-efficacy plays an important role in helping students cope with these challenges. Peer assessment has been proposed as a learning strategy to alleviate academic pressure. the aim of this study  is to examine the effectiveness of peer assessment in reducing Academic burnout and improving self-efficacy among nursing students at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah. Method: This study employed a quantitative pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. The sample consisted of 76 nursing students from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Academic burnout was measured using the Maslach Burnout Inventory–Student Survey (MBI-SS), and self-efficacy was measured using the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and N-Gain analysis. Results: The results showed that peer assessment did not significantly reduce academic burnout (p = 0.756, mean N-Gain = −0.020). However, peer assessment significantly increased students’ self-efficacy after the intervention (p < 0.001, Z = −5.382), with a mean N-Gain score of 0.233. Conclusion: The implementation of peer assessment not lead to a meaningful decrease in academic burnout. However, peer assessment significantly improved self-efficacy. This indicates that the peer assessment strategy has the potential to strengthen students’ confidence in facing academic demands, although it has not yet been effective in reducing the level of academic burnout, which is presumed to be influenced by the duration and intensity of its implementation.   Keywords : Academic burnout, nursing students, peer assessment, self-efficacy

Abstract

Background: Based on data from the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) groups of adolescents to adults have sedentary lifestyles (sedentary / lack of physical activity) of 33,5%. Lack of physical activity can lead to health risks especially the complications of non-communicable. This study aims to determine the relationship of physical activity and its determinants among adult obesity. Methods : This study uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional study design. A total of 262 adult obesity in ciputat  timur participated in this study. Data collected by filling out the questionnaire by participant. Data analysis used the chi square test to determine the relationship between physical activity and its determinants and logistic regression to determine the predictors of physical activity. Results: This study provides results that  Respondents who have low physical activity was 64,6%. There is a significant relationship between gender, perceived benefit, perceived barrier, self efficacy and social support. Conclutions: In conclusion, the most significant determinant of physical activity in the adult obesity is social support.
