Abstract

The study aims to determine the feeding of different products on the growth of the fish slice. Culture vessel in the form of net bags of 1 x 1 x 1.2 (m) of 9 bags with stocking density 20 birds. The method used experiment with completely randomized design (CRD), three treatments and three looping. Such treatment is P1 = Feeding Comfeed products, P2 = Feeding Sun products, and P3 = Feeding Charoen Pokphand products. From the results of research feeding with different products derived growth to slice fish weight of 17.23 grams P1, P2 was 19.26 grams, and P3 of 17.83 gr. The growth of the fish slice length of 4.13 cm for P1, P2 and P3 of 5.30 cm is 27 cm. The growth rate of daily weight of the fish slice to P1sebesar 2.13%, with a value of 2.27% P2 and P3 of 2.19%. Slice fish mortality during the study for as many as 1 tail P1, P2 and P3 2 tails as much as 1 tail. For all three types of feed of different products is not a significant effect on the growth of the fish slice. Water quality parameters for such a study, the water temperature ranges from 25-28 ° C, acidity (pH) of 5-8, dissolved oxygen (DO) between 5.97 to 6.38 ppm, and ammonia (NH3) between 0.19 - 0.32 ppm. Value parameter water quality of Lake Betung waters during the study still supports for the life and growth of fish slice.

Abstract

Low soil fertility in Riau impact on low production of chilli. The low production of chilli caused by improper application of fertilizer. The addition of organic matter has the potential to reduce the dose of inorganic fertilizers and improve soil fertility. This research aims to determine the response to growth and yield of chili on reduction of dose NPK 16:16:16 with organic fertilizer. This research was conducted from February to June 2016 at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau. The research used a completely randomized design with 3 replications. Factors dose of NPK fertilizer consists of five levels i.e., without NPK, 100%, 75%, 50%, and 25% of the dose of NPK. Factors organic fertilizers consists of three levels i.e., chicken manure, liquid bioorganic, and chicken manure + liquid bioorganic. The results showed that chicken manure fertilizer or with the addition of liquid bioorganic fertilizer can reduce the NPK usage by up to 50% without affecting the growth and yield of chili. Reduction of dose NPK 16:16:16 up to 75% gave growth and yield not statistically different in the level of α 0:05 with 100% dose of NPK. Treatment of organic fertilizer (chicken manure or with liquid bioorganic fertilizer) significantly increased the growth and yield of chili on the level of α 0:05.

Abstract

In developing of the eastern coastal zone in the North Sumatra province, emerged various ideas from rural coastal development in 1974, fishery metropolis in 2005, fishery industrialization until blue economy popularize as sustainable development in the fishery and marine businesses recently. However, at the national wise, the fisheries development is still dependent on productivity increasing, growth and investment policy. Although no evaluation on those ideas and policies implementation have been conducted and published. The issue of poverty, unbalance growth, inequality, and low capital investment together with environmental degradation in the coastal area have not yet shift to the due hope; even become down into worse situation. Therefore, base on economic geography the idea of development pattern called marine business system in the region is arranged. It is one of might be effective alternatives to address the issues in microeconomic sense. The idea is base on the assumption that the coastal area, indeed still open the opportunity to utilize for social wellbeing. Unfortunately it would not be persistence with the present strategy as ever. Developing marine business system need good governance together with best practices as moral hazard become worsen, so that the law enforcement is a must to be successful.

Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine the effect of colchicine on growth and yield the black soybean for cikurai varieties. This research was conducted at the experimental farm Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University. The experimental design used was completely randomized design (CRD) factorial of two factors. The first factor was the concentration of colchicine (K factor) which consists of 4 levels K0 (0%), K1 (0.01%), K2 (0.05%), K3 (0.1%). The second factor is the soaking time (factor P) which consists of 4 levels: P1 (3 hours), P2 (6 hours), P3 (12 hours) and P4 (18 hours). The results showed that the interaction of colchicine concentration and soaking on the parameters of the seed crop had a significant effect only on seeds weight with concentration of 0.1% and 18 hours for soaking (K3P4) and produced 30.87 g. on average. The highest yield was a single concentration and had significant difference on treatment K3 (0.1%) for all parameters, namely flowering age, plant height, seeds weight, and 100 seeds weight. While the soaking time treatment alone had a significant effect on flowering age and seed weight on P4 (18 hours).
