Abstract

Kampar Regency is one of the areas of mungbean production in Riau Province. As a germ-plasmin genetic diversity, Kampar mungbean is a local variety that can produce high yield mungbean cultivar. The color of pods and seeds of mungbean may affect the consumer taste. The research was aimed to give information about genetic diversity of Kampar local mungbean and its use as a germ-plasm resource to produce a new cultivar with high yield trait. The research was conducted from August to November 2015 at the Biology garden, Faculty of Mathematics and Science, University of Riau. The randomized complete design with 9 lines and 5 replications was used. The result showed the G0, G1, G2, G5, G6, G7, and G8 lines produced black color pods, while G3 line produced blackish brown, and G4 line produced brown color of pods. The seed color of all of the lines exept G0 produced shiny green, while G0 line produce dull and shiny brownish green seed. The color characteristics of pods and seeds had an effect on the consumer taste, but it did not affect on the yield production. Therefore, this information could be used as germ-plasm resource to produce a new high yield cultivar.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the effect of bokasi gulma application time and leaf trimming on the production of Sorghum. This research was carried out during period from Desember 2015 to april 2016. The Research conducted in the Public Land on Jalan Penerbangan RT/05 RW/08 Kelurahan Simpang Tiga, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The experiment was laid out in a completely randomized design in a 4 x 4 factoria. The First factor was time of bokasi gulma application, consisting og W1. (2 weeks before planting), W2. (planting time), W3. (2 weeks after planting), and W4. (4 weeks after planting). The second factor was the leaf trimming, consisting of T1 (without trimming), T2 (pruning age of 25 days after planting), T3 (trimmed age of 50 days after planting), T4. (trimmed age of 75 days after planting). The parameters observed were the length of panicle per panicle (cm), panicle dry weight per panicle/ plant (g) with water contain by 12%, weight of 1000 seeds per plant (g) and production (water contain by 12%) of dry sorghum per hectare (kg). The best treatment was W2T4 (time of giving bokasi gulma at planting and trimming the leaves when the plants of 75 days after planting) with the results; length of panicle per panicle (19.48 cm), panicle dry weight per panicle/plant of 112 grams KA 12%, weight of 1000 seeds per plant (38.07 grams), and production (KA 12%) of dried sorghum per hectare (6473.52 kg).

Abstract

Rice is the main agricultural products in agrarian countries, including Indonesia. Brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens Stal.) is one of the major pests that are harmful to the rice plant. Control measures used the farmers is still using synthetic chemical insecticides. Reducing the adverse effects caused by synthetic chemical insecticides, the need for an alternative control techniques to brown plant hopper which utilize betel leaf forest (Piper aduncum L.) as an insecticide plant. This study aims to obtain flour betel leaf forest extract concentration effective cause mortality to brown plant hopper in rice. This study was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were a few extracts of betel leaf forest that flour : 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 g/l of water. Betel leaf forest extract concentration flour 50 g/l of water was an effective concentration compared with other treatments, because at this concentration has been able to cause total mortality of 87.5%.

Abstract

Shallot is the most important horticulture commodity as a cooking spice after chilli. The purpose of this research wa to know the effect of pomi fertilizer and NPK grower on shallot yield. The research was conducted at the expremental farm of Facuty of Agriculture Riau Islamic University Pekanbaru during three months, from December to February 2016. The randomized completely design with two factors was used. The first factor used pomi fertilizer (0, 5, 10, and 15 cc/l water), while the second factor was NPK grower (0, 10, 20, and 30 gr/plot). Parameters observed were number of tillers, tuber diameter, wet bulb weight per hill, wet bulb weight per plot, dry bulb weight per hill and weight of dried tuber per plot. The results showed that interaction had an effect on all observation parameters with best treatment of P2N3 (10 cc/l water of pomi fertilizer and NPK grower 30 g/plot). Mainly, fertilizer application gave an effect on all observation parameters with best treatment of P2 (10 cc / l water), whereas NPK grower application gave an effect on tuber diameter, wet bulb weight per hill, wet tuber weight per plot, tuber weight dry per hill and weight of dry bulb per plot with best treatment N3 (30 g/plot).

Abstract

This research was conducted in experimental field of Agriculture Faculty of Islamic University of Riau. The time of implementation starts from October 2012 until January 2013. The design used is a complete factorial random design, consisting of 2 factors namely L (waste bleaching earth) and K (Pupuk Kandang). Bleaching earth waste consists of 4 treatment levels, L0 = 0 gram / plant, Ll = 10 gram / plant, L2 = 20 gram / plant, L3 = 30 gram / plant. Manure consist of 3 treatment level, Kl = 10 gram / plant, K2 = 20 gram / plant equal to 40 ton / ha, K3 = 30 gram / plant to get 12 combination of treatment. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. Each plant unit consists of 8 plants, 4 plants as sample, thus the total population is 288 plants. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued BNJ test 5%, Parameter observed Total Leaf Area, Dry weight of plant, Relative Growth Rate, Net assimilation rate and Heavy Metal Content Analysis. Treatment of bleaching earth effluent interaction with manure significantly affected the total observation of leaf area, dry weight of plant, relative growth rate and net assimilation rate. Bleach Earth waste treatment significantly affected all observed parameters, ie total leaf area, dry weight of plant, relative growth rate and net assimilation rate. The manure treatment had a significant effect on all parameters observed, with the use of manure can remediate the content of Cu, Cd and Fe metals.

Abstract

White Oyster Mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) is one foodstuffs favored by the people. This mushrooms demand higher beucase it is tasty and seful to health. The research was conducted to determine the effect of the addition NPK complex fertilizers to the growth and protein content white oyster mushrooms (pleurotus ostreatus). This research using non factorial completely randomized design that consist 5 treatments and 3 replicatesand totally obtain 15 experimental design. It would further DMRT test if effect. The observed parameters include growth and protein content white oyster mushrooms. Based on the results revealed that the addition of NPK effect on all parameters observed where the best dosage is treatment P2 with the addition of NPK 10gr / 1 kg of growing media. The P2 treatment effect on time appears pinhead, pinhead number, stem length and wet weight white oyster mushrooms

Abstract

Agricultural sector development implemented interrelated, complementary support, and with the industrial sector, namely through the development of area-based economic growth integrated aquaculture that is contained in the concept of Minapolitan in Kampar Regency. This research aims to: (1) analyze the magnitude of women's labor force participation rates, (2) analyze factors that affect women's labor force participation, and (3) analyze the contribution of women's labor income. The research method is the case study on the central processing of agro-industries fish the catfish the whole workforce is women in the village of Koto Mosque District XIII Koto Kampar in Kampar Regency. Respondents taken in the census on 8 people labor women and analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the number of family member, wage, education, age, total household income and spare time together affect the labor participation of women. Work participation rates (TPK) amounted to 1.05% meaning of 100 females age earning only 1 person working on catfish agro-industries. The magnitude of the contribution of women's labor income is 19,88% of the overall income of households.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the production of rainfed rice production of local varieties and hybrids in the District of Seberang Bangkinang. This study used survey method. The sampling technique rainfed rice farmers carried out using methods Malti Stake Sampling and the number of farmers as many as 90 people. Simultaneous use of production factors of land, seed, Urea, SP36 fertilizer, NPK, organic fertilizer, pesticides and labor of the use of different varieties provide a significant influence. Based on the coefficient determinant for both varieties known that these variables can influence the production of varieties Super Bernas amounted to 91.0% and the Variety Children Daro by 69.9%. In the varieties of Children Daro independent variables were significant and very real is the Pesticides (X4), while the varieties Super pithy independent variable significant effect is Fertilizer SP 36 (X23), Organic Fertilizer (X34), pesticides (X4) and labor (X5).

Abstract

Studies on the survival and growth of fish larvae baung by a silk worm enriched with probiotics and Habbatussauda has been done in Fish Seed Faperta UIR Riau Pekanbaru, from the month of February to March 2016. The purpose of the study to determine the survival and growth of fish larvae baung. The results showed survival rate of fish larvae best baung in treatment P2 (Probiotic + Habbatussauda Giving a dose of 0.2 mg / g diet) amounted to 91.33%. Baung fish larvae survival level highest in P2 at 91.33% and the lowest at 80.67% Po. The growth of absolute weight and length of the absolute highest was found in treatment P2 (Probiotic + Habbatussauda Giving a dose of 0.2 mg / g diet) each - each ie 0.4369 g and 3.67 cm.

Abstract

Setora nitens Wlk. is a palm oil leaf-eating larvae that dominantly existed in Riau Province. Setora nitens could causing a significant losses if there is no control for their population growing. Parasitoids are included as the biological control agent which can be used as a natural enemies to sppress the population density of Setora nitens in palm oil plantation. This research aims to inventorizing the parasitoids, calculating both rates of parasitism and sex ratio of parasitoids that could parasitizing Setora nitens on a palm oil plantation in Subdistrict of Perhentian Raja, District of Kampar, Province of Riau. This research was using a purposive sampling as the survey method to determine the research’s scope. The research’s scope criteria is a palm oil plantation that were attacked by Setora nitens and has a possibilities as the parasitoids habitat. The research location was an expanse of palm oil plantations which covering 6 Ha and diagonally were set 5 sample points, which each point was randomly taken 5 plants as a sample, so there were 25 plants as the total sample. The results of rearing the Setora nitens larvae in Plant Pest Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau has discovered one kind of parasitoid known as endoparasitoid, derived from the Ordo Hymenoptera, Subordo Apocrita and Family Braconidae with a total number of individuals are 49 tails. The percentage rate of parasitism that had occured reached 33.3%, while the parasitoid sex ratio range between males and females were between 1.4: 1 and 2.5: 1.
