It cannot be denied that until now there are still many offices /companies that ignore the existence of lactation rooms. Whereas the obligation of work organizers to provide lactation space has been regulated in the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation Number 15 of 2013. The regulation of procedures for providing breastfeeding space aims to provide protection to mothers in exclusive breastfeeding and fulfill children's rights to receive exclusive breastfeeding. The provision of this breastfeeding corner facility is devoted to meeting the needs of mothers and babies who still have to breastfeed, and at the same time aims to increase exclusive breastfeeding for babies as one of the main nutrients. This research discussed about how to optimize the lactation room for vulnerable groups to provide excellent service in Mahkamah Syar’iyah Blangkejeren.

Abstract

People with disabilities (PWDSs) are usually left out of the mainstream education and socio-economic activities. These include those with sensory, physical, and cognitive disabilities. The United Nation's Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (2006) and Kenya's Persons with Disabilities Act (2004) address issues affecting PWDSs to promote, protect, and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms, promote respect for their dignity as well as facilitate the full participation in all sectors of society. Despite these efforts, PWDSs continue to be marked by experiences of discrimination, prejudice and inequality. Religion and Theological interpretations of disability have significantly shaped the ways in which society relates to PWDSs thereby reinforcing marginalization and exclusion in the social, economic, political, educational and religious life of the society. This presentation is derived from a study on promoting awareness and participation of PWDSs in education and other community-based programs in Siaya County. This action research study investigated the relationship between poverty and Disability from the perspective of PWDSs. Data was collected using focus group discussions and interviews. The main finding was that PWDSs are living in poverty, which they attribute to being disabled. The church, perceived to have a role to play in community welfare did not seem to have a structured way of identifying or providing for PWDSs, who are incidentally members of their churches. In matters of education, it was found that there are many children with disabilities out of school that members of the clergy were aware of but seemed to have no way of engaging stakeholders to support them. Misinterpretation of religious teachings seemed to have a bearing on how PWDSs were perceived. It is recommended that the church should take active role in identifying and engaging relevant stakeholders in providing services, including education, for PWDS.

Abstract

This paper aims basically at examining the menace and the criminalization of homo-sexual relationships in Nigerian society. Gay and lesbian couples are categorized as same-sex relationships. Though they are not easy to identify, they possess peculiar traits which set them apart from ordinary persons.  Their activities are generally condemned by most countries on religious and moral grounds.  This work has succinctly examined the various causes of homosexuality and its effects on our society.  The study adopted a multi-disciplinary approach in its analysis.  It employs a historical, expository, interpretative, and analytical method.  A secondary source was extensively used in the course of this study. It also evaluates the role or views of different sections in society as regards the activities of homosexuality in our society.  Besides, the concepts and analytical tools of economists, sociologists, and theologists were employed throughout the analysis. This ensured that the paradigmatic tool that was used melded perfectly into the overall body of the paper.  This was adopted because of the historical nature of the study.  It was discovered that homosexuality is largely due to the environment in which one is raised.  In other words, homosexuality is induced by a disordered environment.  People equally engaged in homosexuality as a result of freedom of association.  They feel it is one of their fundamental human rights. To some of the practitioners, it is more economical. There is no fear of pregnancy and some other related expenses involved in a normal relationship.

Abstract

This article focuses on the analysis of final consonant clusters in Azeri. By consulting two Turkish-Persian dictionaries containing over 100,000 words, the study identifies words with consonant clusters in their syllable structure, specifically (C)VCC or CVCVCC. The research addresses two main questions: the composition of consonant clusters in a syllable coda and the vowels used as the nucleus in (C)VCC structures in Azeri. The data reveals that /æ/ is the predominant vowel in the nucleus of (C)VCC syllables, while /r/ emerges as the most common initial consonant in final clusters. Notably, /t/ is frequently found in post-final positions within the coda. Key findings include the prevalence of /æ/ as the primary vowel in (C)VCC syllables, with /ɑ/, /i/, and /y/ following. Loanwords predominantly feature /e/ in conjunction with /j/ clusters, while /œ/ and /e/ are less prevalent as nucleus vowels. Consonant clusters like /r/, /l/, and /n exhibit versatility with various vowels, whereas other clusters are more selective. The study underscores the unique order of consonant occurrence and combination in the final cluster of (C)VCC syllables in Azeri, highlighting /æ/ as the most active nucleus vowel. Additionally, it emphasizes the mutual relationship between the nucleus and coda in (C)VCC syllables.

Abstract

In Africa, the production of ceramic sculpture receptacles is a common artistic practice. This artistry has attracted a plethora of historical, cultural, archaeological, and ethnographic studies. Such studies have revealed some of these African ceramic sculpture receptacles' metaphorical, philosophical, social, and cultural contexts. However, the paucity of literature on the symbols and metaphors of the ceramic sculpture receptacles produced at Takoradi Technical University (TTU) in Ghana provides a research gap. The current study, therefore, sought to examine selected ceramic sculpture receptacles from the Ceramic Design Technology Department of TTU to reveal their symbolic and metaphorical connotations from the indigenous Ghanaian cultural context. The study utilised a qualitative research approach and a descriptive research design. Twelve (12) ceramic sculpture receptacles were purposively sampled, and triangulation of instruments, including non-participant observation, personal interviews, and document reviews, were used to elicit interpretative data from thirteen experts (lecturers & students of TTU), who were all practicing artists. The findings reveal that the twelve ceramic sculpture receptacles incorporate culturally revered animals (birds, reptiles, amphibians, mammals) as decorative symbols. These animal-related metaphors are strongly tied to traditional Ghanaian society's sociocultural, religious, and political dimensions. These symbols reflect rich cultural values and philosophies, making the artefacts vital for preserving and promoting Ghanaian cultural heritage. The study recommends further research on other institutional artefacts to decode their embedded sociocultural repositories. This tends to promote and preserve Ghanaian cultural and artistic heritage, which serves as an educational tool for current and future generations.

Abstract

This research paper studies the cognitive aspect of the magazine's cover lines, which are employed to represent and present celebrities to the public. The present study aims to identify the conceptual metaphors and the cognitive function they fulfill in print media discourse, particularly the celebrity magazine category. Lakoff and Johnson 1980 is the model adopted for analyzing the data under study. The results of this paper revealed a scarcity of metaphorical language in magazine cover lines in general.  Additionally, most conceptual metaphors have been spotted as confined to limited metaphor patterns and types. These are found geared towards unveiling facts related to a celebrity's private life. They are intended to arouse the readers' curiosity and encourage them to buy the issue.
