The focus of the Cita Kara Journal is to publish articles from students and lecturers dedicated to all aspects of the paradigm of creation and study including the exploration of knowledge and skills of fine arts. Articles in the form of results of creation, research, conceptual ideas, studies, theories, etc. which prioritize materials, concepts, methodologies, and approaches that are extracted from cultural roots in accordance with the vision and mission of the Fine Arts Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar. The scope of the journal consists of various pure arts topics, both concerning the results of thoughts / reviews, research results (paper or full paper, shot communication, rapid /preliminary), reviews and obituaries. The journal publishes creation and research papers in fine arts such as: Paint, Statue, Graphic, Mosaic, Carving, Relief, Calligraphy, Photography, Comic, Cartoon, Other visual arts.

Abstract

The author's interest stems from the visual uniqueness of Poleng cloth which influenced the writer in adopting Poleng cloth as a painting. So it occurred to the author's desire to create a painting with the concept of Poleng Cloth as an inspiration for the creation of a painting that could represent the theme raised. The problem faced is how to visualize Poleng cloth to represent ideas, phenomena, meanings and techniques presented in creating works of art. The method of creation is a way of creating works of art systematically. In realizing this creation, the methods used are: the stages of exploration (exploration), imprivisation (experimentation), and forming (formation), which are supported by elements of fine art so that 6 works are created entitled: 1) "contemplation", 2 ) "Thennow", 3) "Related", 4) "Alignment", 5) "Heritage", 6) "Poleng establishes togetherness". In creating works, the author applies several artist references related to technique, color, composition, and tools, so that they can be developed to produce works with the development of several techniques with polleng cloth objects, it is expected to produce the author's identity in painting works. From this creation, the authors develop ideas creatively to become works that have aesthetic value and are meaningful. And with the creation of this work, the meaning and phenomenon presented by the author in the creation of the work can be conveyed.

Abstract

Starting from the author's ignorance of exhibition cataloging. However, when I visited art exhibitions, I always found a catalog, so I became curious about the role of catalogs in art exhibitions. This prompted the author to examine more deeply the role of an art catalog and try to . The problem is how the catalog plays an important role in an exhibition. In the process of making it, the writer uses the method obtained from the MBKM process. The purpose and benefits are to show how a catalog plays a role in an art exhibition and to develop the creativity of writers in using digital media. In the process of making a catalog the author uses the creation method which includes several stages, namely observation, data collection, exploration, the process of creating. From this process the author produced an exhibition catalog in which there were 9 layouts of the contents of the fine art exhibition catalog. It can be concluded that the author creates works based on his interest in catalogs, with ideas originating from phenomena captured at the Rudana Museum and reading reference sources from the internet. At the processing stage the author refers to the results of the MBKM. Of all these processes are expected to find identity in the work.

Abstract

The thesis with the title Handmade painting on an oversized t-shirt with Balinese motif ornaments at the Agung Bali Collection is motivated by the start-up world which is increasingly rampant in society. The author has hopes in the future to become an artist and also have a business. By conducting research at the Agung Bali Collection, the authors gain entrepreneurial knowledge such as management science, marketing science, capital and so on. By having this entrepreneurial knowledge, the author has an idea to market his work. Because it's not enough just to make a work, you also have to know how to market and manage it. The stages in conducting this research are exploration, interviews and analysis. The author conducts exploration first, looking for research on knowledge developed by partners. After that, interviews were conducted with the aim of collecting data and research documentation. Finally, analysis is carried out by analyzing the research and documentation obtained and then adjusting it to the tastes of the market and society. An oversized painted t-shirt was formed. oversized t-shirts are chosen because they are on the rise in society. The capital obtained is approximately one million rupiah. The author also has his own branding, namely Fach handmade painting. Fach is taken from the author's name "Fachri". In the MBKM TA, the author created six works with surface designs from the Agung Bali Collection. Marketing used through the social media platform Instagram and dissemination.

Abstract

This thesis raises the theme "bats as an idea for creating art installations." Starting from past memories when the author was still in grade V of Elementary School (SD) the writer and his friends played and caught small bats which are often called jempiit in the garden behind the house, after school the writer and friends took the time to play in the garden behind the house to catch or look for small bats (pinch). Bats are a member of the mammal group, and the only animals from this group that can fly. This capability, coupled with the ability to navigate at night using an acoustic orientation system (echolocation), makes bats an interesting animal. But there are some people who consider bats to be evil animals as in other places in the world, these flying mammals are often misunderstood. From the description above, the writer will make it happen by transforming bats into installation art, this work is made by the author using recycled materials such as used paper, coconut fiber, tissue, bamboo and cardboard.

Abstract

MBKM Independent Project Report carries the title “Sailboats as Inspiration for the creation of Cubism Painting Works. It started with the author making works using cubism techniques and seeing the shape of sailboats as suitable for combining these techniques to create works of art. The problem that is obtained is how to visualize sailboats in each work in visualizing, the author uses methods and techniques obtained from the MBKM process, the goals and benefits and develops the creativity of the author in expressing imaginary forms and images/photos that are edited accordingly the needs of the author in the process of creating. The author is also assisted by I made Gunawan as an artist who guides the creation of works and uses a creation method which includes several stages of contemplation, basic research, exploration, experimentation, execution, completion. From this process the author produces works entitled 1) "Berlash", 2) "Boats and the moon", 3. "Equipment", 4) "Reliable Sailers", 5) "Stranded", and 6) "Remembrance" It can be concluded that the author created the work because of his interest in embossed leaves, with ideas originating from phenomena captured at the Kaki Bisma Batan Timbul studio and reading reference sources from the internet. At the processing stage, the writer combines the techniques from the MBKM results and the techniques that the writer gets on campus, to be realized in 2-dimensional From all these processes it is hoped that one can find identity in work.

Abstract

This independent project thesis raises the Chinese Baris Dance as a Reference for the Creation of Painting Art works, starting from an interest in the visuals of the Baris Cina dance which is unique and different from the visuals of the Baris dance in general. This fueled the urge to bring the visuals of the Chinese Baris dance by combining certain techniques and references to achieve the desired meaning. The problem being faced is how to work on the visuals of the Chinese Baris dance to represent the ideas and meanings that you want to materialize so that they are still packaged attractively. The benefits and objectives of this thesis are to increase the existence of the Chinese Baris dance, and to increase the author's understanding of the Chinese Baris dance. To answer what is the goal of this work, the methods used are exploration, improvisation, and forming. With elements of fine art, and through the stages of exploration, improvisation or experimentation and formation, and combined with ideas and concepts so as to create 6 works entitled: 1) "Freedom", 2) "Desire", 3) "Leader", 4) "Surge", 5) "Dark Fall", 6) "Circle of Harmony". In creating works, the author combines several techniques to references from several artists. By combining the techniques obtained at the Art kenyem studio and the placement of objects typical of Sugiyo Dwiarso, we hope to produce innovative works and are expected to produce novelty.In the end, it can be concluded that dance, especially the Chinese Baris dance, is very worthy to be appointed as a reference that can be developed and will become an innovative work. With the creation of this work, it is hoped that it can convey messages and meanings as well as give the author a new style or identity.

Abstract

At first glance, in every building on the island of Bali, we will find two doorman statues, starting from the experience of seeing and observing - the doorman statue or the Dwarapala statue which if examined more deeply has high value and philosophy. Its very unique shape can inspire our imagination about current phenomena and the effect of modernity on the pattern of people's lives that affect the form and culture of our ancestors. that the meaning of the Dwarapala statue is something that needs to be raised so that it can become a lesson and reflection on oneself when entering a room or, especially a holy place. The benefits that are expected from this writing are that it can add to the public's insight about relics that are rich in philosophical meaning and can provide freedom of imagination in increasing creativity in the creation of painting.

Abstract

Everyone has their own way of expressing their relationship with pets like cats. The process of creating a work of art is closely related to the experiences experienced such as emotional closeness with cats and experiences full of feelings and thoughts in everyday life that are excited. This uniqueness gives rise to a sense of expressing it through creativity and imagination into the form of paintings using various techniques, media, taking into account the elements and principles of art. There is a method from Alma M. Hawkins as a reference at the stage of making this painting, including exploration, improvisation, and forming. The artwork created displays visuals that lead to naive forms with freedom in processing shapes and expressing lines that do not depend on the original object.

Abstract

Banaspati Raja is a mythical creature in the teachings of Balinese Hinduism as a guardian to protect the forest. The figure of Banaspati Raja represented in the form of sacred barong ket is believed to be able to protect the public from danger. The values of the Banaspati Raja seemed to not be fully understood. This phenomenon can be seen from the deterioration of Bali`s natural condition from year to year. The phenomenon arousing a sense of creator to create contemporary painting to aware the mindset or behavior of the people who mistakenly. The main purpose of creation is to create painting of new visually as well as have high aesthetic value. The painting is created is expected to be useful as a means of education, information and documentation for the development of the visual art of Bali. The creation of artwork is based on Sartre`s aesthetic theory with regrard to imagination as the basis for creating beautiful painting. Combined with the creation visual art structures includes elements of visual art by considering its principles. The process of creating painting through three stages, namely: exploration, visual experiments and visualization. The process of creating artworks eventually produced contemporary painting with the title Banaspati Raja. The painting is imagine the myth and the philosophy of banaspati raja through the image or symbol of the barong ket, the trees, water and mountain. Contemporary values are reflected through various technical mixes including brush strokes, pallete knive, splashes, collage, sigar warna, cawi-an and aburan. The artworks created also combines two different media, namely cnvas with recycled paper. The use of recycled paper in addition to producing variations texture, at least able to tackle the paper waste in Bali.

Abstract

Multifunctional Painting Shawl is a product of 4moon that emphasizes Functional and beauty. According to Wikipedia, Shawls is a traditional Indonesian clothing in the form of a long cloth. Shawls are usually used by women. This shawl is specially designed to have several functions at once in one object only. Not only functional, the 4moon shawl also has additional aesthetic value found in the surface design and additional prada. The purpose of this study are 1) To find out the Transfer of Knowledge of Multifunctional Painting Shawl Entrepreneurial Governance, 2) To find out the Transfer of Multifunctional Painting Shawl Entrepreneurial Skills, 3) To find out the Transfer of Knowledge and Marketing Technology of multifunctional Painting Shawl, 4) To find out the Analysis of multifunctional Painting Shawl Entrepreneurship activities. This type of research is included in quantitative research and observation as a method of data collection. The result of the study are 1) There are 6 multifunctional painting shawl products by 4moon 3) Marketing that the author does is offline and online such as Instagram. The author also applies a custom-order system 4) Adding insights such as adding prada using massage canting techniques
