Abstract

This article qualitatively examines the governance of independent palm oil mills in Indonesia, focusing on the issue of supply chain integrity from a sustainability perspective. The research aims to analyze how regulations and governance practices can ensure legality, traceability, and social and environmental sustainability in the operations of palm oil mills that do not own their own plantations. The method used is a literature review, examining reputable scientific articles, the RSPO standard, the ISPO 2025 framework, and Indonesian government regulations related to plantation governance and the palm oil trading system. The study reveals three main findings. First, independent mills have the potential to improve farmer welfare through broader market access and distribution efficiency, especially for smallholders. Second, weak oversight can lead to the risk of supply chain ambiguity, reduced traceability, and potential legal and sustainability violations. Third, existing regulations remain fragmented and therefore not optimally integrated. This study concludes that the most appropriate policy approach is a risk-based and phased licensing regime that integrates digital systems, supplier verification, and sustainable certification to strengthen the governance of the Indonesian palm oil industry.

Abstract

Accurate collateral assessment is a crucial factor in maintaining the quality of financing decisions in Islamic banking, particularly in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) segment. Collateral assessment quality is influenced by various factors, including information quality, system quality, and service quality that support the assessment process. This study aims to analyze the influence of information quality, system quality, and customer service quality on collateral assessment quality by internal appraisers in the SME financing segment at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey design of 53 internal appraisers selected using a census technique. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) assisted by SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that information quality and system quality had a positive and significant effect on collateral assessment quality, while customer service quality had no significant effect. Simultaneously, the three variables were able to explain 59.4% of the variation in collateral assessment quality. These findings indicate that the quality of collateral assessment is more determined by the accuracy of information and system reliability than by the quality of service, so improving the quality of data and assessment systems needs to be a priority in supporting more accurate financing decision-making.

Abstract

Abstract

Administrative management at the Trenggalek Regency National Narcotics Agency (BNN) is currently handled manually using physical logbooks and Microsoft Excel, resulting in inefficient administrative processes, a lack of data integration, and suboptimal document disposition workflows. This study aims to design and develop a web-based administrative management information system using the Feature-Driven Development (FDD) method. The system was developed using PHP and the Laravel framework, incorporating features for managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, official orders, document dispositions, a digital guestbook, and vehicle reports. System testing was conducted using Black Box Testing and the System Usability Scale (SUS). Black Box Testing results indicated that all 16 test scenarios for the system's core features were successful, achieving a 100% success rate. These tests covered login and validation processes, correspondence management, official orders, dispositions, the digital guestbook, vehicle reports, and date-based data filtering. Meanwhile, the SUS evaluation yielded a score of 76.5—categorized as "OK" with a grade of C—which exceeds the benchmark score of 68. Consequently, the system successfully performs all designed functions and demonstrates a good level of user acceptance, making it suitable for supporting integrated and computerized administrative management at BNN Trenggalek Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test a model that integrates Maqāsid Shari‘ah, the performance of the Halal Food & Beverage (F&B) industry, and Digital Marketing in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Jakarta, while considering the mediating role of Digital Marketing in this relationship. The study uses a Mixed Methods approach that combines Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) and Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Primary data was collected through a survey of 287 Halal F&B MSME actors in Jakarta using purposive sampling, strengthened with content analysis from Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The results show that Maqāṣid Syarīʿah has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Halal F&B (β=0.612, p<0.001) and the adoption of Digital Marketing (β=0.543, p<0.001). Digital Marketing partially mediates the relationship between Maqāṣid Syarīʿah and SDGs achievement (indirect effect=0.329, 95% CI [0.241, 0.418]). The Hifz al-Nafs dimension is the strongest predictor for SDGs Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) and Goal 3 (Good Health). This study is the first to integrate the Maqāṣid Syarīʿah framework, Halal F&B, and Digital Marketing into a single model for testing SDGs based on SSM in the urban context of Indonesia. The findings provide a foundation for the Jakarta government to design a digital halal ecosystem policy oriented towards the SDGs, while also serving as a strategic guide for SMEs to optimize Digital Marketing based on sharia values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the BI Rate, the Rupiah exchange rate against the US Dollar, and inflation on the LQ45 Index return during the 2021–2024 period—both simultaneously and partially—and to examine the influence using a one-period lag. The study employs a quantitative approach with an associative method, utilizing monthly secondary data comprising 48 observations obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Bank Indonesia, and Statistics Indonesia (BPS). Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression, supplemented by classical assumption tests, partial tests (t-test), simultaneous tests (F-test), and the coefficient of determination (adjusted R²) using IBM SPSS Statistics. The results indicate that in the primary model, the exchange rate has a significant negative effect on the LQ45 Index return, whereas the BI Rate and inflation have positive but insignificant effects. Simultaneously, the three variables exert a significant influence, with an adjusted R² value of 8.3%. In the one-period lag model, the BI Rate, exchange rate, and inflation do not significantly affect the LQ45 return. These findings suggest that the exchange rate is the macroeconomic factor that most consistently influences the LQ45 return, while the BI Rate and inflation do not demonstrate a significant lagged effect during the study period.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management strategy of the @helioscloud Instagram account by PT Helios Informatika Nusantara in building brand awareness as a business-to-business (B2B) cloud solution provider. The strategic analysis employs Chris Heuer’s 4C framework, comprising Context, Communication, Collaboration, and Connection. A qualitative descriptive approach was adopted, with data collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. Informants were selected via purposive sampling, consisting of four internal representatives from both strategic and operational levels. The results indicate that Helios Cloud establishes a consistent position as a local cloud consultant, implements a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with a one-hour response target, and coordinates content production and management across divisions. Instagram also serves as a gateway to establishing credibility with prospective clients prior to formal business engagements. However, a gap remains between the company's established formal standards and the actualization of open engagement and external collaboration. Brand awareness levels vary across market segments; while the company holds "top-of-mind" status within the Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) segment, it has not yet achieved the same level of recognition in the mid-market and enterprise segments. These findings demonstrate that the Context, Communication, Collaboration, and Connection dimensions of the 4C framework operate simultaneously to build brand awareness, rather than functioning as a hierarchical sequence of stages

Abstract

The demolition of high-rise buildings in dense urban areas may generate dust, noise, and vibration that adversely affect environmental quality and activities in surrounding buildings. Assessing each pollution parameter separately does not provide a comprehensive picture of the overall environmental hazard level. This study analyzes environmental hazards in an integrated manner and determines mitigation priorities for the demolition of Building A, Jakarta, using a Fuzzy Inference System (FIS). An applied quantitative case-study approach was used. Data on PM2.5 concentration, noise, and vibration were obtained from the project area and two surrounding receptor buildings (Building B and Building C) and integrated using a Mamdani FIS with membership functions based on environmental quality standards. Mitigation priorities were determined from the hazard category, the dominant parameter, and a focus group discussion with demolition practitioners. All monitoring points fell into the high hazard category, with FIS scores of 8.4240 (Building A), 8.3868 (Building B), and 8.4315 (Building C). PM2.5 was the most dominant parameter, exceeding the standard at every point, followed by noise; vibration was recorded at 0.00 mm/s and requires continued monitoring during impulsive demolition phases. Mitigation should therefore prioritize dust control, followed by noise control, with continuous vibration monitoring. The findings are a preliminary, context-specific assessment and cannot yet be generalized to all high-rise demolition projects.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies of culinary tourism managers at Pasar Kamu in empowering business actors in terms of customer service in Denai Lama Village, Pantai Labu District, Deli Serdang Regency. The study is motivated by differences in service quality among business actors, which could potentially affect visitor experience. The research uses a qualitative method with a case study type. The research subjects consist of one manager and two business actors selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with data validity tested through technique triangulation. The research results show that: (1) the managers formulate strategies by identifying service problems and agreeing on the 5S standards (Smile, Greet, Salute, Polite, Courteous) together with business actors through deliberation forums; (2) the managers implement the strategies through regular guidance such as briefings, post-operation discussions, and Wednesday night meetings, as well as direct supervision during operational activities; and (3) the managers carry out continuous evaluations through discussions with business actors to assess service developments. The evaluation results show positive changes in service behavior for both business actors, although the implementation of the 5S principles is not yet fully consistent in a busy market setting. This study concludes that a participatory, continuous, and guidance-oriented empowerment strategy is able to improve the service capacity of business actors in village-based culinary tourism destinations.
