Abstract

The character of Industrial Work Culture is universal, so it can be adopted to be applied to vocational education institutions as a basic thing so that later when students enter industry they will find several similar characteristics that students must already have. This study aims to realize a development design (blueprint) in instrument development. This investigation aims to produce an instrument that can be used to develop and measure the industrial work culture character of vocational students, especially those in Aceh. So far, the development of industrial work culture character has been mandated to be implemented by the Indonesian government. The theoretical basis of this study is the theory of Kartwohl and Bloom (1956). The affective domain is a domain related to attitudes, values, feelings, emotions, and stages of acceptance or rejection of an object in teaching and learning activities. Affective assessments need to be carried out in the same way as cognitive assessments, so students must have character competencies that can be measured like cognitive competencies. The affective domain is divided into five categories, namely: Receiving or Attending, Responding, Valuing, Managing, Characterization. The affective domain requires measurement tools like the cognitive domain so that students' affective competence is also better developed. Character is an affective domain, the design of the Industrial Work Culture Character Instrument (IKBKI) in carrying out this study was limited to five characters, namely: discipline, hard work, honesty, responsibility, and entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Flood disasters are a long-standing problem in North Aceh Regency and its surroundings, causing serious losses both material and non-material. To overcome this problem, the government has built the Krueng Keureuto Dam and Reservoir as part of its flood management strategy. However, the actual impact of this project on flood mitigation needs to be evaluated through a comprehensive literature review. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the construction of the Krueng Keureuto Dam and Reservoir on flood mitigation efforts in North Aceh Regency and its surroundings. From this literature review, it was identified that factors causing the ineffectiveness of the Krueng Keureuto Dam and Reservoir in flood prevention efforts in North Aceh Regency include non-routine sedimentation management, less stringent environmental protection, low participation and awareness of community behavior to prevent flooding and low inter-institutional coordination. This project has not fully met expectations in flood mitigation, but still has the potential to provide significant benefits if further elaborated. The author's recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of dams and reservoirs for flood mitigation include strengthening river sedimentation management, increasing environmental monitoring, community participation campaigns in reservoir maintenance and management, as well as expanding cooperation between the government and the private sector. Follow-up plans will involve regulatory updates, infrastructure improvements, as well as educational programs to increase public awareness about flood management.

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' interest in learning mathematics through the use of the snakes and ladders game in class V at SD 53 Banda Aceh. This research uses a quantitative approach, while the design used in this research is a Quasi Experimental Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data was collected in this research by giving questionnaire questions to see students' interest in learning mathematics. Based on the analysis of the results of the questionnaire on students' interest in learning mathematics, pre-test and post-test scores, it was found that the normalized gain (N-Gain) of students' interest in learning mathematics had a value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.031. Because the Sig value. (2-tailed) < significance level (α = 0.05), so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a difference between the average N-Gain interest in learning mathematics for students who are taught using the snakes and ladders game and the average N-Gain interest in learning mathematics for students taught using conventional learning. If we look at the average N-Gain value of the experimental class and control class, it is found that the N-Gain value of the experimental class is higher than the control class, so it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' interest in learning mathematics which is taught through the use of the snakes and ladders game at SD 53 Banda Aceh.
