Abstract

Sleep is an unconscious condition where an individual can be awakened by a stimulus or sensory that is appropriate in other words, sleep is a state of relative unconsciousness not only a state of full activity, but more of a sequence of repeated cycles. Babies are children under one year of age who have just entered the early stages of life marked by rapid development. One of the factors that influences development in infants is rest or the length of sleep time. Babies with poor sleep quality have a negative impact on their development, such as babies becoming easily emotional and their concentration and immunity decreasing. This study aims to determine the effect of music on the sleep quality of infants aged 3-6 months. The research method is a quasi-experiment with a one group pre-test and post-test design. This research was conducted at the Tg. Balai Karimun Health Center, the sample in this study were 16 infants aged 3-6 months. The results of this study were obtained with an average value before 10.75 to 12.50 with a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05) which means there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores, so it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average quality of sleep before and after music therapy. It is expected that mothers can provide care, especially classical music therapy as an alternative to improve sleep quality in infants. Keywords :Music Therapy, Baby Sleep Quality.

Abstract

The condition of newborn weight and gestational age will affect the infant mortality rate. Newborn babies with a weight less than normal regardless of gestational age are called LBW babies. In Low Birth Weight Babies (LBW), the initiation of bonding attachment between mother and baby is delayed. There needs to be a treatment that can be an alternative solution in the care of low birth weight babies (LBW), one of which is by implementing the Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) method. This study aims to determine the effect of the Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) method on weight gain in Low Birth Weight Babies (LBW). This research method is a quasi experiment with a one group pre-test and post-test design. This research was conducted at the Muhammad Sani Karimun Hospital, the sample in this study were 16 LBW babies born in June 2024. The results of this study showed an increase in the average weight of infants after KMC treatment, where the average weight of infants before KMC was 1431 grams, and the average weight of infants after KMC was 1590.63 grams (the difference is 159.63 grams), with a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05) it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) method on weight gain in LBW. It is expected that mothers can provide KMC method care to increase infant weight, especially in LBW babies. Keywords : Kangoroo Mother Care, Baby, low birth weight babies

Abstract

Preschool children are in a period of change between infant and school age. Children start many activities at this age that can decrease the quality and quantity of sleep. Nowadays, children mostly sleep only 8-10 hours a day. Preschoolchildren need 11-12 hours a day to sleep. Lack of quality and quantity of sleep can decrease preschool growth and development in intelligence. This research aims to study the quality and quantity of preschool children. This study used a pre-experimental design. Samples were preschool children in the work area of the Tanjung Balai Karimun Health Center. The sample size was 7 children, recruited using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire for quality and quantity of sleep and through observation to know the influence of reflection massage. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test analyzed quality data, and the Paired Sample T Test analyzed quantity data with a significance level of α <0,05. The results of this study revealed that there was a change in sleep quantity. There was also a change in sleep quality, but not significant. The Wilcoxon Signed rank test for sleep quality showed that α = 0,034. The Paired Sample T test for sleep quantity showed α = 0,003. From the results, we can conclude that a reflection massage influences/affects the quality and quantity of sleep. Reflection massage can increase the quality and quantity of sleep. The major function of reflection massage is stimulating the effector organ to decrease strain and relax the body. This condition is needed to get good quality and quantity of sleep. It concluded that reflection massage influences the increasing quality and quantity of children's sleep. Keywords : Preschool, Quality And Quantity Of Sleep, Reflection Massage

Abstract

Perimenopause is a phase of menopause change that occurs several years before menopause, which includes changes from the ovulation cycle to the anoovulation cycle with signs of menstrual cycle irregularities. The World Health Organization (WHO) shows an increase in the number of women entering the climacterium phase, which is estimated to increase to more than one billion by 2030. Perimenopausal women often experience sleep disorders or insomnia because serotonin levels decrease so that the amount of estrogen decreases. Insomnia can be treated using acupressure massage and lavender aromatherapy. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of acupressure and lavender aroma therapy on perimenopausal insomnia. The design in this study is pre-experimental with one group pretest and posttest design. The sampling technique in this study uses purposive sampling. The results of the study showed that there was an effect of acupressure and lavender aromatherapy on perimenopausal women, as evidenced by the results of a statistical test with a value of p 0.000 (p < 0.05) in the 2024 Karimun Health Center Work Area. The suggestion of the results of the study is expected to improve the ability in non-pharmacological therapy, namely the influence of acupressure and aroma lavender therapy to reduce insomnia in perimenopause among the community.

Abstract

According to WHO data in 2016, around 10% of women experienced anxiety during pregnancy and 13% of women experienced anxiety after giving birth. The risk level for anxiety disorders in pregnant women in developing countries is around 15.6% and in Indonesia there are around 28.7% of pregnant women in their third trimester who experience anxiety. The deep breathing relaxation technique is a technique for taking deep breaths, slow breathing (holding inspiration to the maximum) and exhaling slowly. This study aims to determine the effect of breath relaxation using rose aromatherapy on the anxiety of pregnant women in the third trimester when facing childbirth. Pre-experimental research method with a one group pre test and post test design approach. This research was conducted at the Meral Community Health Center in February - August 2024 on 44 pregnant women in the third trimester. The data was analyzed using SPSS. The research results showed that the average anxiety before deep breath relaxation using rose aromatherapy was 18.48 and the average after was 8.75. Data analysis obtained p-value 0.001 (p<0.05). So it can be concluded that there is an effect of breath relaxation using rose aromatherapy on the anxiety of pregnant women in the third trimester when facing childbirth. It is hoped that pregnant women can further practice deep breathing relaxation techniques to reduce anxiety.
