Abstract

Abstract: Background. The rapid advancement of digital technology has encouraged the integration of digital learning platforms in schools; however, many elementary school teachers still have limited competence in utilizing educational websites effectively. Aim. This community service activity aimed to enhance teachers’ digital competencies through an EduTech Workshop focusing on the use of educational websites as learning support tools. Methods. The activity employed a Participatory Action Research approach involving 11 teachers of SD Negeri Kemakmuran II and was implemented through planning, action, and evaluation stages, including presentations, demonstrations, discussions, and hands-on practice using Rumah Pendidikan, Edcafe, Scratch, and Qreative.id. Results. The workshop achieved a 100% attendance rate, while 81.8% of participants actively engaged in discussions. All teachers successfully created digital evaluation questions using Edcafe and demonstrated improved understanding and skills in utilizing educational websites for teaching and learning activities. Conclusions. The EduTech Workshop effectively improved teachers’ digital literacy and readiness to implement technology-based learning in elementary education. Implication. This program can serve as a practical model for strengthening teachers’ digital competencies and supporting the ongoing digital transformation of education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Background. Coastal areas are among the most productive ecosystems on Earth, yet they are also among the most exposed to human carelessness, particularly the steady inflow of plastic waste. Aims. This activity was carried out to build the knowledge, attitude, and moral responsibility of young people toward coastal sustainability through the "Aquatic Ethics School: Learning to Protect Coastal Environments" program, held on 18 June 2026 at SMP Negeri 6 Idanogawo, Nias Regency, North Sumatra. Methods. The program combined interactive talks, small-group discussion, an open Q&A session, and a closing commitment declaration written and read by the students themselves. Before the session, most participants could not clearly connect everyday habits with the condition of the coast near their school; afterward, they were able to explain microplastic formation, the logic behind Reduce-Reuse-Recycle, and where they personally fit into the problem. Conclusion. The enthusiasm shown during discussion, together with the willingness to sign the commitment declaration, suggests that ethics-based environmental education can move students from passive awareness toward a felt sense of responsibility for the coastline they live beside.

Abstract

Aims. This study aims to describe the implementation of recycling-based environmental education in fostering flood disaster resilience awareness among elementary school students. The program was conducted as a community service activity through the Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) at SDN 3 Kenanga Village, Cirebon Regency, involving fifth-grade students as participants. Methods. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The educational program was designed in three stages: introduction (providing materials on waste, floods, and the 3R concept); implementation (hands-on recycling activities that transform used gallons into plant pots and trash bins using a STEAM approach); and sustainability action (utilizing students' products in school facilities). Result. The findings indicate that the program effectively improved students' understanding of the relationship between waste management and flood risk, as reflected in questionnaire responses and active participation. In addition, positive behavioral changes were observed, such as increased adherence to proper waste disposal and a growing awareness of the need to remind peers to maintain cleanliness. Conclusion. The recycling activities also enhanced students' creativity and sense of environmental responsibility. Therefore, participatory and experiential recycling-based environmental education proves to be an effective strategy for building early flood-disaster resilience awareness. This program has the potential to be developed as a sustainable model for environmental and disaster education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Based on the initial observations that the researchers have made at Kindergarden Islam Widyakusuma Saladara in Cirebon city identified several problems such as: Flag ceremony activities there are 3 children at the time of marching still playing / children have not been disciplined in marching the cause is There are 2 teachers who are allowed to attend suddenly so that there are fewer accompanying personnel, children scramble to run out of class to the mosque to carry out dhuha prayers and there are 3 children who fall because they are pushed (blm children can have an orderly culture and queue) the cause is the teacher focuses on tidying up the class and waiting for students who have not left the class and letting the other children go out first, at the time of the dhuha prayer in the mosque most of the children have not been able to keep their slippers neatly in their place, the cause is that children are in a hurry and want to enter the mosque immediately, do not want to be orderly and queue. Thus, the researcher concluded that the root of the problem lies in the level of discipline and order, both in teachers and children. From several problems identified, the researchers chose the problem during dhuha prayers in mosques: children have not been able to store their sandals neatly in their place. This is because order and discipline require a process and time to get used to. So, it is necessary to start with small things, namely storing your sandals neatly.
