Abstract

Abstract Background. The development of information technology encourages digital transformation in government administration, including at the village level. However, information dissemination in Winong Village remains conventional and has not been integrated, as evidenced by the inactivity of the village website and the limited use of digital media. This leads to low accessibility, transparency, and effectiveness in delivering information to the public. Aims. This activity aims to design and develop a profile website for Winong Village to improve information accessibility, government transparency, and community services. Methods. This activity uses a descriptive qualitative method with a participatory approach. The activity was carried out in Winong Village as part of the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN) program for 40 days, from planning through evaluation. The data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation. Conclusion. The stages of implementing activities are carried out systematically, from identifying needs to designing systems, developing, testing, implementing, and evaluating. The result of this activity is the formation of a Winong Village profile website that contains important information, including village profiles, news, activities, and village potentials. This shows that a website can provide more structured, accessible information. The existence of the website also supports increasing transparency and efficiency in delivering information to the public. Implementation. Thus, the village website serves as an effective digital information medium for improving the quality of public services at the village level.

Abstract

Background: Waste management problems still become a challenge in the community, especially due to low awareness of waste sorting. Abstract

Background. This Community Service Program (PKM) focuses on an international community partnership aimed at strengthening livestock cooperative institutions through Philippines–Indonesia knowledge transfer on animal waste management. Methods. Service activities are centered on the beef cattle and dairy farming hub in Kuningan Regency. The main problems faced by the partner, the Karya Nugraha Jaya Multi-Purpose Cooperative (KSU KNJ), include suboptimal management of cattle manure waste, limited knowledge among members and administrators regarding biogas technology, weak institutional capacity to provide educational services, and high dependence of farmers on conventional energy. Poorly managed livestock waste causes significant environmental pollution and represents a lost economic opportunity. Result. The proposed solution is a participatory and educational community empowerment approach centered on strengthening cooperative institutions. Key strategies include intensive outreach on the role of cooperatives in biogas technology and strengthening cooperative institutional mechanisms covering management, participatory decision-making, transparency, and partnerships. Mandatory program outputs include scientific publication in an ISSN-registered journal, publication in mass media, and a joint publication presenting the Indonesia–Philippines case study. Conclusion. Key success indicators are the controlled management of accumulated waste, improved post-training knowledge assessment scores on biogas among participants, and the cooperative's ability to independently manage its operations. Implementation. This program is expected to improve farmers' economic welfare through energy cost savings and additional income from liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), while also supporting national renewable energy mix targets.

Abstract

Background. Waste problems remain an environmental challenge in rural communities, including Kedungbokor Village, Larangan District, Brebes Regency. Low public awareness of waste sorting and limited educational media on waste decomposition times lead to suboptimal waste management. Aims. This community service activity aims to increase community knowledge and participation in inorganic waste management by providing educational media on waste decomposition and training in making ecobricks. Methods. The implementation method uses a participatory approach, which includes the stages of problem identification, socialization, environmental education, application of simple technology, mentoring, and evaluation of activities. Result. The results of the activity show the installation of educational media on the decomposition times of various types of waste as a permanent source of information in the village environment, and the community's implementation of ecobrick-making practices. Conclusion. This program also increases public understanding of the importance of waste sorting and reducing plastic waste through the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) principle. Implementation. This activity made an initial contribution to raising community environmental awareness, although the program's sustainability required continuous support from the village government and active community participation.
