Abstract

The existence of BPJS makes healthcare services affordable for the community in Indonesia. Nationally, more than 95% of BPJS participants indicate that the public has confidence in BPJS, which supports the formation of loyalty. JKN participants in Malang Raya reach > 90% of the total population, but there are still inactive independent participants >20%. This situation demands that BPJS be able to maintain the sustainability of the JKN program, which can ensure the continuity of health financing. As an appropriate effort, it is to increase the loyalty of independent participants. The type of this research is Explanatory Research that analyzes the influence of E-Servqual and brand image on loyalty mediated by trust in Malang Raya. The population in this study consists of 618,893 JKN PBPU participants in the Malang Raya area, with a sample size of 200 participants. Data were obtained using a questionnaire and the Google Form application. The descriptive research results show that 100% of respondents agree that E-Servqual, brand image, and trust contribute to loyalty. The hypothesis test of the direct influence of E-Servqual on loyalty proved to be insignificant, but brand image has a significantly positive effect on loyalty. In the indirect influence of E-Servqual on loyalty, mediated by trust, it was proven to be significantly positive, whereas the indirect influence of brand image on loyalty, mediated by trust, was not significant. The results indicate that JKN participants have received services as expected through electronic services (E-Servqual), the image of the BPJS organization is perceived as good and of high quality, thus respondents trust and remain active BPJS participants. Based on the discussion, it is recommended that BPJS increase attention to the issues experienced by JKN participants through the website, as well as respond to participant complaints and periodically evaluate the website.

Abstract

Rising environmental awareness has spurred demand for green products, yet a gap persists between concern and purchase behavior, especially among Gen Z consumers in emerging markets like Indonesia. This study investigates how environmental concern influences green purchase intention, mediated by attitude and subjective norms, using Sensatia Botanicals cosmetics as a case study. A quantitative survey of 170 Indonesian Gen Z non-buyers was analyzed via SEM-PLS to test hypotheses derived from green consumer behavior theory. Environmental concern significantly shapes attitudes toward green products (p = 0.000) but not purchase intention directly (p = 0.644). Attitude fully mediates this relationship (p = 0.000), while subjective norms show no significant mediation (p = 0.409), underscoring the dominance of personal over social factors. Marketers should prioritize attitude formation through education and product benefits over social campaigns. Future research could explore pricing strategies (e.g., dynamic pricing) and behavioral nudges to bridge the intention-action gap.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a strategy to increase and stabilize the performance of Third-Party Funds (TPF) at PT Bank ABC Sharia Branch (Sharia Branch). TPF plays a critical role in the bank's operational sustainability and competitiveness, but its growth has been inconsistent due to a combination of internal and external factors. To understand the root causes of this instability, the study uses VRIO, PESTLE and SWOT analysis. VRIO (Value, Rarity, Imitability, Organization), PESTLE (Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal, and Environmental), and SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats). The VRIO analysis is employed to assess the internal resources and capabilities of Sharia Branch in order to identify elements that can serve as a sustainable competitive advantage. PESTLE analysis offers a broader understanding of the external environment factors such as regulatory support, economic conditions, technological changes, and the growing interest in Islamic financial services. SWOT analysis then integrates these internal and external insights to comprehensively map the bank’s strengths and weaknesses in relation to emerging opportunities and external threats. The findings of the study indicate that the instability of TPF is primarily caused by weak product differentiation, underdeveloped digital services, limited customer education, and insufficient staff training on sharia-compliant products. Moreover, the lack of effective promotions and outreach activities has led to poor customer engagement. Externally, Sharia Branch is constrained by changing economic conditions and the aggressive expansion of competitors who offer more attractive deposit schemes and seamless digital experiences. The bank also faces negative perceptions about the complexity and limited benefits of Islamic banking products, further affecting public interest and trust. This research contributes to the development of a strategic framework that can be applied to other Islamic banks facing similar challenges.

Abstract

The policy of increasing tobacco excise taxes, implemented gradually in recent years, has created challenges for companies. Since 2019, various challenges have emerged, especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic that affected the whole world and the government's policy of increasing tobacco excise taxes. This study aims to analyze the condition of financial distress in cigarette companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2019 to 2023, as well as identify the influence of external factors in the form of an increase in excise rates and the COVID-19 pandemic on the level of distress risk. This research method is quantitative with a descriptive and associative approach. The research sample consisted of four cigarette companies, namely PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP), PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM), PT Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk (WIIM), and PT Bentoel Internasional Investama Tbk (RMBA). The results showed that HMSP and WIIM were consistently in a healthy financial condition according to all three models, while GGRM was volatile but relatively stable. In contrast, RMBA shows a score that indicates a distressed condition almost every year. The study concludes that external factors have a significant contribution to the risk of bankruptcy of cigarette companies. Predictive models can be used as an early detection tool against declining corporate financial health.

Abstract

This study analyzes the Decree of the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency of the Republic of Indonesia Number 21/PNJ/KEM-ATR/BPN/VI/2024 concerning the Appointment of Catholic Church Bodies in the Territory of Indonesia as Legal Entities that Can Have Land Ownership Rights. This study aims to determine the implementation of the granting of land ownership rights for Roman Catholic Church bodies in Indonesia based on the applicable appointment. The analysis was carried out using Hans Kelsen's legal rights theory, which emphasizes the importance of law in protecting the rights of citizens and providing legal certainty for each individual. The results of the study indicate that the decision provides legal certainty for Catholic Church bodies to have land ownership rights used for religious and worship purposes. This study also provides suggestions for developing the authority to implement the decision and creating implementation guidelines at the City and Regency Land Office levels.

Abstract

Fluctuations in exchange rates and interest rates in a dynamic economic environment mean that coal mining companies need to carefully monitor, identify and respond to these changes with appropriate strategies, in order to minimize risks and increase profitability and the company's stock price. This research explores the influence of exchange rates and interest rates on stock prices of coal mining companies through profitability as an intermediary variable. The research method used is an associative method with a sample consisting of 20 coal mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, which were selected through a purposive sampling technique. To achieve the objectives of this research, path analysis was applied to time series data for 2013-2022, obtained from the Indonesian Stock Exchange and Bank Indonesia. The results of this research show that exchange rates and interest rates have a significant influence on company stock prices directly. Meanwhile, profitability is unable to mediate the influence of exchange rates and interest rates on stock prices. This research provides important insights for mining company managers, enabling them to understand the impact of macroeconomic factors, such as exchange rates and interest rates, on stock prices.
