Abstract

Islam encourages people to cooperate and help (ta’awun) with fellow human beings in goodness. In the social life of the Muslim community can relate to anyone regardless of race, nation, and religion. But the process in its realization experienced many obstacles, such as Fundamentalism, Radicalism, Terrorism. Islamic attitudes as the religion of rahmatan lil alamin are very humanistic, not pawning profane things as beliefs possessed by their adherents, but not leaving the value of universal value as a religious message to maintain peace among fellow human beings, by growing tolerance, building solidarity, upholding democracy, avoiding religious fanaticism. Thus the education of Islam with the concept of harmony is an education that is able to make the difference as a tool to become a more devout person and not out of his fitrah, that is by teaching how to live in the plurality of his nation, so that they can live, both within the group and external group, live peacefully with the environment, interpret the differences wisely and precisely.

Abstract

This study explores rhetorical practices during the European Medieval period and in the context of the Islamic world, highlighting the historical dynamics and ontological considerations that shaped them. Adopting a comparative approach, this study outlines how rhetoric was not only an art of persuasion but also a medium that reflected the values, thoughts, and ontologies of each civilization. In Medieval Europe, rhetoric was integrated within the Scholastic intellectual tradition, which combined religion with philosophy, emphasizing rhetoric as a tool for the dissemination of Christian teachings and the mediation of knowledge. In contrast, in the context of the Islamic world, rhetoric developed in a wide scope, from its use in religious texts, law, to literature, demonstrating a greater ontological flexibility in Islamic thought. This study reveals that, despite their differences, both traditions demonstrate a deep interconnection between rhetoric, social identity, and the ontological structure of their societies. Thus, this study provides new insights into the role of rhetoric in shaping and expressing social and ontological realities in these two civilizations.

Abstract

LGBT stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. They are a collection of sexual deviant behaviors and gender identities that are seen as contrary to nature and reject the provisions of God Almighty. At first, sexual orientation and gender identity were often considered taboo and recognized as a form of deviation. However, human rights movements, activism, and increased public awareness have driven greater acceptance. Since the 1960s, resistance to stigma and discrimination has begun to emerge, especially with events such as the Stonewall Rebellion in New York in 1969, which is often considered a turning point for the LGBT movement. Since then, various countries have passed laws supporting LGBT rights, including same-sex marriage and protections against discrimination. So, many people have supported and accepted this behavior. It needs to be reviewed and revisited, because this behavior is still very contrary to norms, culture, and religion. So that if someone falls into this, many negative impacts will occur in him

Abstract

Gender discrimination still frequently occurs in society, even though efforts to uphold gender equality and justice continue to be made. One of the causes that is the basis for gender equality is patriarchal ideology and views which view that men have special rights and positions in the social order. Based on this perception, women are always identified as the head of the kitchen in the family. So women become targets for harassment and violence because they are considered weak and have no power. This can be seen in many cases of intimidation and violence that occur in domestic relationships. Of course, these disparities and injustices must be addressed and minimized if there is cooperation, both from the government and the community regarding education and efforts to change people's wrong views and perceptions. So this education should be applied to early childhood so that later this gap does not repeat itself in society.

Abstract

English plays an important role in the development of Islam in Indonesia, especially in the era of globalization. This study aims to explore how English is used in Islamic education, digital da'wah, and academic literature to support the development of Islam. A descriptive qualitative approach was used by collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation in Islamic educational institutions, digital da'wah communities, and academics. The results of the study indicate that English has become an integral part of Islamic education, especially in modern Islamic boarding schools and Islamic universities, in order to prepare a generation of Muslims who are able to compete globally. In digital da'wah, English is used to convey Islamic values to international audiences in an inclusive and modern way. Meanwhile, Islamic literature in English produced by Indonesian academics contributes to the global discourse on moderate Islam. However, challenges remain, including gaps in English language competency, limited access to literature, and concerns about shifting local identities. This study suggests strategies, such as English language training for educators and da'wah, integrated curriculum development, and increasing the distribution of Islamic literature in English. With these strategic steps, English can be optimally utilized to strengthen the role of Indonesian Islam in the global arena without sacrificing local identity.

Abstract

Diskriminasi gender masih kerap terjadi di tengah masyarakat, meskipun berbagai upaya untuk menegakkan kesetaraan dan keadilan gender terus dilakukan. Salah satu penyebab yang menjadi dasar kesetaraan gender adalah ideologi dan pandangan patriarki yang memandang bahwa laki-laki memiliki hak dan kedudukan yang istimewa dalam tatanan sosial. Berdasarkan persepsi tersebut, perempuan selalu diidentikkan sebagai kepala dapur dalam keluarga. Sehingga perempuan menjadi sasaran pelecehan dan kekerasan karena dianggap lemah dan tidak memiliki power. Hal ini terlihat dari banyaknya kasus intimidasi dan kekerasan yang terjadi dalam hubungan rumah tangga. Tentu saja, berbagai ketimpangan dan ketidakadilan tersebut harus diatasi dan diminimalisir apabila ada kerjasama, baik dari pihak pemerintah maupun masyarakat terkait dengan pendidikan dan upaya untuk mengubah pandangan dan persepsi masyarakat yang salah. Maka pendidikan ini sudah seharusnya diterapkan pada anak usia dini agar nantinya kesenjangan tersebut tidak terulang kembali di tengah masyarakat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi pengembangan pendidikan Islam berbasis moderasi beragama di Indonesia sebagai respons terhadap kebutuhan akan pendidikan yang mampu membentuk generasi religius, toleran, dan inklusif dalam kehidupan berbangsa. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, studi dokumentasi, dan observasi di beberapa lembaga pendidikan Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengembangan pendidikan moderat telah diimplementasikan melalui penguatan kurikulum, pelatihan guru, pembentukan budaya sekolah yang inklusif, serta pelibatan masyarakat. Meskipun demikian, implementasinya masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan seperti keterbatasan pemahaman tenaga pendidik, resistensi sosial, dan ketimpangan akses pelatihan. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan pendidikan Islam yang berbasis moderasi harus dilakukan secara sistematis, menyeluruh, dan melibatkan berbagai pihak secara berkelanjutan. Nilai-nilai wasathiyah sebagai inti dari moderasi beragama perlu diintegrasikan tidak hanya dalam aspek kognitif, tetapi juga dalam praktik pendidikan yang membentuk karakter dan sikap siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji integrasi antara Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dan kearifan lokal sebagai strategi dalam membentuk karakter bangsa yang berakhlak mulia. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi terhadap praktik pendidikan di lingkungan sekolah dan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai keislaman yang diajarkan dalam PAI memiliki keselarasan dengan nilai-nilai luhur dalam kearifan lokal, seperti gotong royong, musyawarah, sopan santun, dan penghormatan terhadap orang tua. Integrasi ini tidak hanya membuat pembelajaran lebih kontekstual dan bermakna, tetapi juga memperkuat identitas budaya dan keagamaan peserta didik. Dampaknya, peserta didik menunjukkan perkembangan karakter yang positif, seperti kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, dan kepedulian sosial. Meskipun demikian, terdapat tantangan berupa keterbatasan pemahaman guru, minimnya dukungan kurikulum kontekstual, serta pengaruh budaya luar. Oleh karena itu, integrasi ini perlu diperkuat melalui kebijakan pendidikan yang mendukung pelestarian budaya lokal serta pelatihan guru dalam menerapkan pendekatan berbasis kearifan lokal. Integrasi PAI dan kearifan lokal terbukti menjadi fondasi penting dalam membangun generasi yang berkarakter, religius, dan cinta budaya bangsa.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemikiran pendidikan Ibnu Khaldun melalui pendekatan studi kepustakaan terhadap karya utamanya, Muqaddimah, serta menelaah relevansinya terhadap sistem pendidikan Islam kontemporer. Ibnu Khaldun dikenal sebagai pemikir multidisipliner yang tidak hanya menulis tentang sejarah dan sosiologi, tetapi juga menyisipkan gagasan penting tentang pendidikan dalam kerangka pembangunan peradaban. Dalam pandangannya, pendidikan tidak hanya bertujuan untuk mentransfer ilmu, melainkan juga untuk membentuk karakter dan moral peserta didik. Ia menekankan pentingnya metode pembelajaran yang bertahap, pengalaman empiris, keteladanan guru, serta hubungan erat antara pendidikan dan kondisi sosial-politik masyarakat. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gagasan-gagasan Ibnu Khaldun tetap relevan untuk menjawab tantangan pendidikan Islam masa kini, khususnya dalam membangun sistem yang integratif antara ilmu dan akhlak. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji inovasi kurikulum di madrasah dalam menjawab tantangan pendidikan Islam abad ke-21. Inovasi kurikulum di madrasah menjadi sangat relevan dalam konteks globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi yang mempengaruhi dunia pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi di beberapa madrasah yang telah menerapkan kurikulum inovatif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum inovatif di madrasah meliputi perubahan dalam struktur kurikulum, metodologi pengajaran, dan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Meskipun terdapat tantangan, seperti keterbatasan sumber daya dan resistensi terhadap perubahan, inovasi kurikulum telah membawa dampak positif, yaitu peningkatan keterampilan abad ke-21 pada siswa, penguatan nilai-nilai agama, serta peningkatan akses terhadap pendidikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa inovasi kurikulum di madrasah penting untuk menjawab tantangan pendidikan Islam di abad ke-21, dan perlu dukungan lebih lanjut dari berbagai pihak untuk mengatasi tantangan yang ada.
