Abstract

The word order in the Kualuh Malay language spoken in North Labuhanbatu is the subject of this research, which aims to investigate it. Study In this research, the qualitative research method was utilized.  Data for this study came primarily from interviews and participants' own experiences. The clauses or sentences that were discovered in the folklore served as the research's primary source of data. The studies of Miles and Huberman were utilized in order to make sense of the data. The process of assessing the research involved several stages, including data reduction, data display, and extracting conclusions from the data and verifying them. It is possible to draw the conclusion based on the findings of the research that the structure of the sentence patterns used in the Kualuh Malay language spoken in North Labuhanbatu contains VSO, SVO, OSV, VOS, OVS SV, VO, and OV. The word order pattern that should be followed in the declarative clause of a declarative sentence is SC, SVO, OVS. The word order pattern of the clause in this section is V-O and O-V, and it is vital that this pattern be followed. In an interrogative sentence, SV, SVO, VOS, and OSV can be used with nasal-affixed verbs or without them.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pelaksanaan, penilaian, kendala, solusi dan hasil yang diperoleh dari pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yakni guru bahasa Indonesia mulai merancang untuk pengadaan silabus, analisis standar kompetensi lulusan, kompetensi inti dan kompetensi dasar, menyusun program tahunan, menyusun program semester, kriteria ketuntasan minimal, dan membuat rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan kurikulum yang berlaku. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran mengarahkan siswa agar berusaha dengan sendirinya dan penuh kesadaran secara bersama-sama untuk mencapai sasaran sesuai dengan apa yang tertera dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran. Penilaian pembelajaran dengan tahapan yakni ketika proses pembelajaran berlangsung siswa melaksanakan tugas dari guru. Kendala yang dialami adalah ketika ditemukan siswa yang tidak percaya diri maka sulit untuk disuruh presentasi di depan kelas, siswa sering mengulur-ulur waktu ketika pengajaran latihan sehingga pekerjaan terabaikan. Evaluasi program adalah suatu upaya untuk mengumpulkan, menyusun, mengolah dan menganalisa fakta, data dan informasi untuk menyimpulkan harga, nilai, prestasi, kegunaan, manfaat mengenai suatu program, kantor, sekolah, organisasi atau lembaga dan lain-lain untuk disimpulkan sebagai landasan pengambilan keputusan tentang program tersebut apakah dilanjutkan, direvisi atau dihentikan.

Abstract

Keaktifan mahasiswa dalam organisasi Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam (HMI) tidak hanya memberikan manfaat secara akademik, tetapi juga berperan dalam meningkatkan militansi terhadap negara. Organisasi ini membentuk pola pikir kritis, jiwa sosial, dan kepemimpinan yang kuat, sehingga menghasilkan kader-kader yang militan dalam memperjuangkan kepentingan bangsa dan negara. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk meneliti bagaimana keaktifan di HMI berpengaruh pada peningkatan militansi mahasiswa kepada negara. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui wawancara dan analisis literatur, penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam HMI memperkuat nilai-nilai kebangsaan, nasionalisme, serta tanggung jawab sosial. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pengembangan potensi mahasiswa melalui organisasi mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the use of YouTube videos in learning English, students' conclusions about improving their English skills after using YouTube videos, problems faced by teachers and students, and student acceptance of the use of YouTube videos. Bottom. While studying English. The respondents were 7 English teachers from the eighth exam and 40 second-year students from the 8th. This study used a mixed graft method as the study design. Information was collected through the dissemination of surveys. Our investigation revealed the following: a) The trainer was able to implement this process because he used a YouTube video technique to train some skills in English. Students had positive opinions about changes in English learning. Students also said that following this procedure could reduce boring classes and increase their motivation to learn English. There were issues in designing the evaluation process when implementing the YouTube video strategy, such as internet connectivity and student readiness. Teachers had to create procedures to help students better understand the topic. As a result of these reflections, her use of YouTube recordings in teaching and learning English positively impacted students' English proficiency and assisted teachers in communicating topics to students. The results were consistent with past reflection results. Was consistent. Aside from that, this program made some discoveries, such as teachers' practice methods, students' opinions on improving their English skills, and students' evaluations of the introduction of YouTube videos.

Abstract

In an increasingly globalized world, mastering pronunciation in a foreign language is essential for effective communication. This study investigates the impact of integrating phonetics training into second language acquisition (SLA) at STIT AL-Ittihadiyah Labuhanbatu Utara, focusing on enhancing pronunciation skills among students. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research combined quantitative surveys, qualitative interviews, and classroom observations with pre- and post-intervention assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of phonetics training. A 12-week program incorporating both traditional methods and technological tools, such as speech recognition software and pronunciation apps, was implemented. Findings reveal that phonetics training significantly improved students' pronunciation accuracy by addressing native language interference and enhancing phonemic awareness. The use of technology was particularly beneficial, accelerating progress and providing interactive feedback. The study underscores the importance of integrating phonetics, phonemic awareness, and technology to achieve effective pronunciation and communication skills in a second language. It highlights the need for continued research into combined approaches to optimize SLA outcomes and supports the development of comprehensive language education strategies at STIT AL-Ittihadiyah Labuhanbatu Utara and similar institutions.

Abstract

English plays an important role in the development of Islam in Indonesia, especially in the era of globalization. This study aims to explore how English is used in Islamic education, digital da'wah, and academic literature to support the development of Islam. A descriptive qualitative approach was used by collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation in Islamic educational institutions, digital da'wah communities, and academics. The results of the study indicate that English has become an integral part of Islamic education, especially in modern Islamic boarding schools and Islamic universities, in order to prepare a generation of Muslims who are able to compete globally. In digital da'wah, English is used to convey Islamic values to international audiences in an inclusive and modern way. Meanwhile, Islamic literature in English produced by Indonesian academics contributes to the global discourse on moderate Islam. However, challenges remain, including gaps in English language competency, limited access to literature, and concerns about shifting local identities. This study suggests strategies, such as English language training for educators and da'wah, integrated curriculum development, and increasing the distribution of Islamic literature in English. With these strategic steps, English can be optimally utilized to strengthen the role of Indonesian Islam in the global arena without sacrificing local identity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji integrasi kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam pembelajaran bahasa, dengan fokus pada bagaimana teknologi ini dapat meningkatkan pengalaman belajar siswa secara personal, interaktif, dan adaptif. Pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif digunakan untuk memahami dampak AI terhadap keterampilan bahasa, termasuk berbicara, mendengarkan, membaca, dan menulis. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dari institusi pendidikan yang menggunakan AI dalam pengajaran bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AI, melalui aplikasi seperti ChatGPT, Duolingo, Elsa Speak, dan platform adaptif seperti Rosetta Stone, mampu memberikan umpan balik cepat, personalisasi materi pembelajaran, dan simulasi percakapan yang realistis. Teknologi ini juga mendukung pengajaran guru dengan menyediakan alat bantu untuk merancang materi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Meskipun terdapat tantangan dalam implementasinya, seperti keterbatasan akses teknologi, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa AI memiliki potensi besar dalam menciptakan pembelajaran bahasa yang lebih efektif, menarik, dan efisien, sekaligus menjawab kebutuhan pendidikan modern.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of using educational games on improving students' vocabulary mastery in learning English and Japanese. Using a quantitative and experimental approach, this study involved students who were learning both foreign languages, both at secondary school and college levels. The research sample was selected using a purposive sampling method, and the instruments used included pre-test, post-test, observation, and questionnaire. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in students' vocabulary mastery after interacting with educational games, with a p value <0.05. In addition, observations showed that students were more active and motivated in learning using educational games compared to conventional methods. The questionnaire revealed that the majority of students felt more confident in using new vocabulary and were more motivated to learn. These findings are in line with previous studies showing that gamification elements in educational games increase student engagement and motivation. However, the effectiveness of educational games can vary depending on the type of game used and the individual learning preferences of students. This study concludes that educational games can be an effective learning tool in improving vocabulary mastery, provided that they are adjusted to students' preferences and learning styles. Further studies are recommended to explore the most influential gamification elements and combine educational games with traditional methods for more optimal results.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the moral values contained in the film Bila Esok Ibu Tiada. This film raises the theme of family conflict, responsibility, and the value of sacrifice in caring for parents. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through direct observation of films and analysis of dialogues and scenes. The results of the study show that this film contains various moral values, such as children's responsibilities to parents, the importance of communication in the family, gender equality, and the consequences of neglect of parents. The director conveys a moral message through storylines, characterizations, and the use of cinematic elements such as lighting, shooting, and background music. Analysis based on Bertens' moral theory shows that moral values in this film are related to responsibility, conscience, absolute obligation, and formal nature.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the forms of difficulties faced by Class I students at MIS AL-Afkari Deliserdang that hindered early reading. This research is an observational study. Data collection techniques, using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively after being reduced (data reduction), and tested for validity through a data credibility test. The results showed that the types of difficulties faced by Class I students at MIS AL-Afkari Deliserdang that could potentially hinder learning to read the beginning were as follows: 1) students had difficulty reading the alphabet with proper pronunciation, students had difficulty showing and mentioning vowels, students had difficulty showing and mentioning consonants, students find it difficult to name some combined sounds of vowels and consonants, students find it difficult to spell the syllables that are instructed, 2) the factors that hinder students in Beginning Reading Difficulties in Class I students at MIS AL-Afkari Deliserdang are intellectual factors, factors physiological, environmental factors including parents, and psychological factors. The solution is that parents must really accompany their children when learning and teachers innovate in learning such as using suitable media and methods for learning to read early.
