Abstract

Enhancing Students Speaking Skill Through Demonstration Strategy at Bhinneka Nusantara Vocational School Bekasi. This research aims to improve the speaking skills of Bhinneka Nusantara Vocational High School students by using the demonstration method. The subject of this research was used for all students at Bhinneka Nusantara Vocational High School Bekasi. This research used the Classroom Action Research Method. A method whose implementation was carried out to find out problems in the learning process and steps that teachers could use to improve the quality of learning. The research instruments are observations, questionnaires, exercise, daily tests and interviews. The data obtained from this Classroom Action Research Method is in the form of student activity and learning outcomes in each cycle. After carrying out the action, processing/analysis is then carried out on the data obtained from carrying out the action. Therefore, from this data it can be concluded that the application of the demonstration method can improve the speaking skills of Bhinneka Nusantara Vocational High School students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan pengaruh pendidikan kewirausahaan dan lingkungan keluarga terhadap minat berwirausaha Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian penjelasan (explanatory research) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa/i SMK Prima Ma’arif NU, sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 50 siswa/i. Sampel tersebut diperoleh dari perhitungan menggunakan rumus Slovin. Data diperoleh langsung dari responden dengan instrument penelitian langsung berupa kuesioner. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data statistis deskriptif dan analisis regresi linear berganda yang diolah menggunakan SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara pendidikan kewirausahaan dan lingkungan keluarga terhadap minat berwirausaha siswa/i baik secara parsial maupun simultan pada SMK Prima Ma’arif NU. Hasil total R-Square dihitung menjadi 0,946, setara mewakili 94,6%. Ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat efek pendidikan kewirausahaan pada minat berwirausaha menyumbang 94,6% secara bersamaan, sedangkan sisa 5,4% disebabkan oleh variabel asing yang tidak termasuk dalam penelitian.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar dampak peran orang tua pada minat belajar siswa di kelas VII SDN SMP Negri 34 Bekasi dan seberapa besar dampak peran orang tua pada minat belajar siswa. Metode kuantitatif asosiatif digunakan untuk melakukan analisis ini. Pada analisis ini, sampel jenuh dari populasi sebesar 59 siswa SMP Negri 34 Bekasi kelas VII digunakan. Untuk mengumpulkan data untuk analisis ini, digunakan angket peran orang tua dan minat belajar dengan skala likert. Menurut Hal ini dapat ditinjau dari hasil nilai t hitung 13,731 > nilai t tabel 2,002 dan nilai signifikansi senilai 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya ada dampak yang signifikan. Dari hasil analisis ini juga diperoleh nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) senilai 0.318. Angka tersebut terkandung arti bahwa Ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel lain yang tidak dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini memengaruhi kontribusi metode peran orang tua (X) terhadap minat belajar (Y), yaitu sebesar 38%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is a correlation between the use of English slang and writing descriptive texts in eleventh grade at SMA Darul Abror. This method in this research uses a casual associative quantitative method, namely method for obtaining data naturally from certain places. In the research, researchers carry out treatments to collect data, for example distributing questionnaires and conducting tests. To as certain the cause and effect link between independent variables (variables that influenced) and dependent variables (variables that are influenced) associative quantitative research is also conducted. The associative quantitative research technique is chosen based on how well the approach fits the study title, which seeks to understand the relationship between the dependent variable (writing descriptive text) and the independent variable (English slang). The usage of English slang and students’ capacity to produce descriptive writings in English slang learning at SMA Darul Abror are related, according to the analysis of the research findings. There is a link between the usage of English slang and pupils’ ability to write at a moderate level. A substantial connection between the two variables is shown by a correlation coefficient, or ‘r’, of 0.473 and a significance value (p-value) of 0.020. As a result, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is supported, showing that students’ capacity to produce descriptive texts is favorably impacted by the usage of English slang.

Abstract

This is a Classroom Action (PTK) type of research, and the subjects are students in class XI IIS Islamiyah Ciputat. The purpose of this study is to determine the results of improving students' ability to speak through movie media. Classroom Action Research uses the Kemmis & Mc. Teggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The study was conducted in two cycles, with two meetings per cycle. The results show that film media can improve the speaking ability of students in class II C at SDN Ciputat 01. In cycle I, the class average score was 68.08, and 56% of the students completed. Based on this explanation, it can be said that students of class XI IIS Islamiyah Ciputat can improve their speaking skills by using movie media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors causing difficulties in speaking English grade 10 students at SMA Islam Pagerungan Besar. The ability to speak English is very important where in this era, English is the language used in international communication. However, there are still many 10 grade students at SMA Islam Pagerungan Besar who have difficulties in speaking English. This study uses a qualitatve method with case study approach, data were collected through interviews, classroom observations, and analysis of related documents. The results of the study indicate that there are 2 main factors causing difficulties experienced by students, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors include lack of confidence, limited vocabulary mastery, difficulty in pronunciation, afraid of making mistakes, and lack of motivation. Meanwhile, external factors include less supportive environment, learning facilities are inadequate, less effecttive teaching methods, lack of support from teacher and friends, and lack of opportunity to practice speaking. Based on these findings, it is suggestions that teachers and school create more supportive learning environment to increase students’ self-confidence, provide more opportunities for students to practice speaking through activities outside the classroom, and use more interactive and innovative teaching methods. In addition, improving learning facilities such as providing language laboratories and digital learning resources, as well as providing books on speaking skills are needed to help students improve their English speaking skills.

Abstract

Digital technology has transformed English Language anad Literature pedagogy. The use of digital technology in English Literature pedagogy represents a significant advancement in Literature and Language learning, significantly enhancing both teaching and learning processes. Technology helps students learn more effectively, which helps educators improve their instruction. The method keeps developing to help teachers acquire a language more quickly for their students. Teachers choose software-based instructional systems that enhance students' positive interactions with their instructors and promote the acquisition of the English language in its entirety. This research aims to explore the integration of digital technological tools in English Literature and Language teaching and it endorses various methods to encourage the best possible instruction. It also investigates a variety of facets of teaching and technological resources that gives educators access to cutting-edge tools for effective and high-quality instruction. For this study, an explanatory  qualitative methodod  is opted (Creswell & Poth, 2018).  For the survey of the literature, a linguistic and traditional description of the technology, and a thorough analysis of its relevance to currently used teaching techniques have all been conducted. The findings address key challenges by emphasizing the potential of digital and contemporary tools to enhance language education. The study advocates for the use of digital technological tools tools to improve Enlish language learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the perceptions of TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teachers in vocational schools regarding the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in their classes. This study explores the potential benefits and challenges associated with ICT integration in this special educational context. The research design for this study was a mixed methods research, both qualitative and quantitative. The instruments used in this research were questionnaires and interviews. The results show that teachers generally have a positive perception of the use of ICT in their teaching process. It is hoped that by analyzing teachers' perspectives, this research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of how ICT can be used effectively to improve EFL learning for vocational students.

Abstract

The message that smoking will kill you seems scary and scary, but the end result is that people are increasingly enthusiastic about consuming it. This article aims to examine smoking kills you: ambiguous studies and Islamic ethics, which previous research has not discussed. Research is a literature review from journal and book sources, then analyzed qualitatively. Research results: that the message that smoking kills you is ambiguous, where on the one hand the government prohibits it because cigarettes are dangerous to health, on the other hand cigarettes are a large source of state income from excise tariffs. From the perspective of Islamic ethics, smoking must pay attention to environmental aspects for comfort, where Islam upholds the rights of other people. This research contributes to future research directions in the field of Islamic ethics. The research synergizes the prominent ambiguous aspects and the importance of Islamic ethics in behavior.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out (1) the implementation of listening skills in asking and giving opinion using audio visual media at the eighth grade students‟ of MTs AL – Hidayah Bekasi in the Academic Year of 2023/2024. (2) To find out whether the use of audio visual can improve the students‟ listening skill at the eighth grade students‟ of MTs AL – Hidayah Bekasi in the Academic Year of 2023/2024. The research design of this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, test, observation, and documentation. The results of this research showed that (1) the implementation of audio visual media to improve students’ listening skills in asking and giving opinion as a material was going smoothly. In the process students paid attention, completed the task, more enthusiastic and not got bored quickly. The teacher also taught and gave material well. (2) There was improvement of students‟ listening skills using audio visual media. It was shown in the result of the research. The mean of pre-test and post-test cycle I was 65,5 to 69. The mean of pre-test and post-test cycle II were 72 to 85.3. The percentages the students who pass the passing grade were 25% in the pre-test I, 85.7% in the post-test I. 85.7% pre-test II, and 100% in the post-test cycle II. It showed that the students‟ percentages who got score higher than the passing grade of post-test cycle II is higher than post-test cycle I. The result of the t-test of cycle I was 3,769 and cycle II was 4,408. The t- test of cycle I and II were higher than t-table , t-test > t-table, so the result was significant. It means that the use of audio visual media improved students‟ listening skills.
