Abstract

Pemilihan supplier merupakan faktor penentu yang sangat penting untuk memfasilitasi kelancaran perusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji proses pemilihan supplier buah di UMKM Salad Sunday Momsky dengan menggunakan metodologi Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Metode AHP dipilih karena kemampuan metode tersebut untuk mengatasi situasi multi – kriteria yang rumit. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuesioner dan wawancara yang dilakukan dengan pemilik UMKM Salad Sunday Momsky. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kriteria kualitas barang memiliki signifikansi tertinggi dalam pemilihan supplier, diikuti oleh hubungan karyawan, perilaku, harga barang, adanya ikatan timbal balik, dan lokasi geografis. Setelah menganalisis data, Pasar Pula Sari Sanglah terpilih sebagai supplier buah yang dipiluh oleh UMKM Sunday Salad Momsky dengan nilai sebesar 0,65.

Abstract

This journal discusses the competency-based employee performance evaluation. Objectivity is to enhance the competency-based employee performance evaluation system, in supporting the company's goals. The issue is the lack of efficiency and accuracy in the current manual performance evaluation system. This system is deemed inadequate in providing an accurate depiction of employee performance, thereby hindering development and motivation efforts. The proposed solution in this research is to integrate the performance evaluation system with the digital platform Portaverse. This step is expected to improve the efficiency and accuracy of evaluations, while also simplifying the process of collecting and analyzing employee performance data and the evaluation process more transparent and objective. With a better evaluation system, employees will be more motivated to develop and contribute optimally. Competency-based performance evaluation is seen as more relevant compared to traditional methods, as it better reflects employees' skills and potential.

Abstract

Increasing production capacity is one of the key strategies to maintain the competitiveness of tire companies in an increasingly dynamic and competitive market. One of the critical machines in the tire production process is the Rubber Sheet Calender, which currently has a capacity of only 2700 Tires Per Day (TPD). However, based on the sales forecast for 2025, the required production capacity is expected to reach 3000 TPD. This study aims to analyze and enhance the capacity of the Rubber Sheet Calender machine using the Discrete Event Simulation (DES) approach. Data were collected through direct observation, time studies, and interviews with machine operators and production supervisors. A simulation model was developed to represent the actual condition (as-is), and improvement scenarios were tested, including adding labor, increasing buffer capacity, and reducing setup time. The simulation results show that a combination of improvements can significantly increase throughput by increasing machine speed from 4.65 to 6.31 (a 36% increase) and raising production capacity from 3360 to 4962 (a 59% increase). Thus, the improvement recommendations using DES have proven to be an effective decision-support tool for enhancing production capacity.

Abstract

Perishable products are items with short shelf life. In this study, perishable product being analyzed has only one day shelf life. Therefore, an accurate forecast method is needed to avoid shortage and waste. Shortage occurs whend demand exceeds the company’s stock, resulting potential loss sales. Waste occurs when demand is lower than available stock, leading to overstock. Excexx inventory causing losses and reduces profit. This study is conducted using 2 scenarios, as shown in Table 1. Scenario 1 uses 60 days od data, while scenario 2 separates data between weekend and weekdays. Data abalysis was performed using time series method with POM-QM software. The best method is determined based on lower MAD, MSE, MAPE. The result of this study sho that separating the historical data between weekends and weekdays (scenario 2) leads to better forecasting accuracy, indicated by a lower MAPE compared to scenario 1. For weekend forecasting, the best method is exponential smoothing (Scenario 2A.2) with MAPE 10,05%. For weekday forecasting, the best method is moving average (Scenario 2B.1) with MAPE 15,40%. The research is expected to serve as a reference for company in selecting appropriate forecasting method. The goal is to help company anticipate shortage and waste in perishable products. The recommendation for company is automate the separation of weekend and weekday data to accelerate the forecasting prosess. Future research recommendation is use other forecast method and software, then consider factor consists of shelf life, promotion, national holidays, or national event.

Abstract

PT SMART Tbk is one of the largest palm oil processing companies in Indonesia. In its production process, the company uses various types of chemicals stored in a dedicated chemical warehouse. Data shows that the pallet capacity at the chemical warehouse in the Marunda Plant frequently reaches full capacity or even overcapacity, which poses a risk of disrupting production flow, such as delays in the movement of materials and accumulation of stock. This study aims to identify the types of waste that contribute to overcapacity and determine the root causes of the problem. The research is limited to the chemical warehouse at the Marunda Plant, focusing on inbound activities for flavor products (code VO16745) and outbound activities for ingredients (code Salt 300265). Based on the analysis using Process Activity Mapping and Value Stream Mapping, the waste level in warehouse operations was found to be 56%, with a total cycle time of 3,528 seconds and a value-added time of 1,536 seconds. This waste directly contributes to overcapacity and decreases warehouse efficiency. Using the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC approach, the root causes were identified through Fishbone Diagram and Root Cause Analysis. The main contributing factors include large vendor packing sizes and minimum order quantities (MOQ), increasing annual demand, limited manpower, narrow warehouse space, small unloading doors, narrow aisles, and a lack of pallets and shelves. As a solution, it is recommended to expand the warehouse area, add more operators, enlarge the unloading doors, and increase the number of pallets and shelves to optimize operations and reduce the risk of overcapacity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab keterlambatan produksi dan menyusun simulasi penjadwalan berbasis linear programming pada PT CS, sebuah perusahaan inflight catering di Indonesia. Permasalahan keterlambatan berpotensi menyebabkan kontaminasi makanan akibat ketidaksesuaian suhu penyimpanan serta mengganggu ketepatan waktu keberangkatan pesawat. Penelitian dilakukan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan pengumpulan data kuantitatif dari aktivitas produksi khususnya pada stasiun kerja hot dishing. Analisis akar masalah dilakukan dengan diagram fishbone dan metode Risk Priority Number (RPN) untuk mengidentifikasi faktor dominan penyebab keterlambatan, yaitu kekurangan tenaga kerja tetap dan tidak adanya penjabaran waktu per aktivitas. Selanjutnya, dilakukan simulasi penjadwalan menggunakan pendekatan linear programming dengan memanfaatkan fitur Solver di Microsoft Excel. Tiga skenario alokasi tenaga kerja (8, 6, dan 4 kelompok kerja) dianalisis untuk memperoleh waktu optimal pemrosesan. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa pengelompokan 8 pekerja ke dalam 4 kelompok kerja menghasilkan waktu paling optimal sebesar 1205,49 detik, dibandingkan skenario lainnya. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan sistematis dalam identifikasi akar masalah dan simulasi berbasis optimasi matematika mampu memberikan solusi efektif dalam pengurangan keterlambatan produksi. Rekomendasi selanjutnya mencakup perumusan standar waktu operasional dan evaluasi kompetensi tenaga kerja secara berkala.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sifat material SB 171 C70600 dalam upaya meminimalisir risiko korosi pada komponen channel tube bundle E-3-05 A&C di kilang minyak. Pada awalnya, material SA 105 (carbon steel) direncanakan sebagai bahan fabrikasi, namun terbukti tidak cocok untuk lingkungan korosif, sehingga dipilih SB 171 C70600 sebagai pengganti. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi langsung, wawancara teknis, dan studi literatur terhadap spesifikasi ASME BPVC 2023. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa SB 171 C70600, yang mengandung tembaga dan nikel, memiliki ketahanan tinggi terhadap korosi, khususnya dalam lingkungan air laut, serta konduktivitas termal yang baik. Dibandingkan SA 105, SB 171 C70600 lebih unggul dari sisi ketahanan terhadap korosi, meskipun memiliki kekuatan mekanik yang lebih rendah. Pemilihan SB 171 C70600 pada bagian channel terbukti mampu menjaga efisiensi perpindahan panas, mengurangi risiko kebocoran, dan memperpanjang umur pakai komponen. Dengan demikian, penggunaan material ini sangat direkomendasikan untuk aplikasi heat exchanger yang bekerja dalam kondisi lingkungan korosif.

Abstract

Ketidaksesuaian antara data yang sebenarnya dan data dalam sistem menjadi masalah besar dalam manajemen inventaris di perusahaan manufaktur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan penyebab dari perbedaan antara data fisik dan data yang ada di sistem SAP di PT XY, serta mengembangkan solusi dengan menggunakan metode Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan termasuk observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen sistem serta hasil dari stock opname. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa penyebab utama dari ketidaksesuaian data adalah: kesalahan manusia karena lambatnya input data, prosedur operasional yang tidak efisien, keterbatasan teknologi dalam mencatat, dan kurangnya koordinasi antar bagian. Analisis RCA yang digabungkan dengan pendekatan 5 Whys dan fishbone diagram berhasil menemukan akar masalah secara terstruktur. Rekomendasi untuk solusi mencakup penerapan sistem pencatatan waktu nyata menggunakan aplikasi mobile, pemanfaatan barcode atau QR code, otomatisasi stock opname dengan teknologi RFID dan metode cycle counting, serta penyesuaian SOP untuk situasi operasional yang mendesak. Diharapkan bahwa dengan menerapkan solusi ini akan meningkatkan akurasi data, efisiensi proses operasional, dan kehandalan sistem informasi di perusahaan
