Abstract

Students with learning boredom feel that the knowledge and skills obtained through learning are not progressing. KSaturation can also occur because students' learning processes have reached the limits of their physical abilities due to boredom and fatigue. One of the efforts through individual counseling with self-management techniques is expected to be able to reduce learning boredom for class VII students in Gresik. The technique for implementing this activity uses individual counseling with self-management techniques for related parties. Observations were carried out by digging up information and observing students' conditions in class by distributing questionnaires for the pre-test. From the results of interviews and observations with guidance and counseling teachers and homeroom teachers, there were several categories of students selected. Each class is represented by 6 students who experience learning boredom. There are 36 people from 3 classes. The decrease in learning boredom of selected class VII students can be observed through student learning outcomes each semester.

Abstract

The data visualization training program held at SMKS Katolik Kefamenanu was carried out based on the need for a better understanding in managing data, especially among students. This community service aims to provide a deeper understanding of data visualization and technology integration in education. The implementation method includes material preparation, hands-on training sessions, and prates and post-test evaluations. The service results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of data visualization concepts, increased skills in using Microsoft Excel, and increased student interest in data analysis. Students also successfully apply the acquired skills in a practical context.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the education sector, forcing a change from conventional learning to online learning. This situation is a special challenge for elementary school teachers who are used to face-to-face learning. This article discusses the Class 1 Teaching Campus Program as the Indonesian government's response to improving the quality of education in the midst of the pandemic. This program involves students in providing teaching assistance in elementary schools in various regions. The main focus is to develop students' interpersonal and technical skills and make a positive contribution to the learning process in elementary schools. The program implementation method involves preparation, implementation, observation, and design. In the teaching stage, students succeeded in increasing students' motivation and interest in learning, while teachers and schools found it easy to implement online and offline learning. This program has also succeeded in adapting technology to support learning, including the use of laptops and MS Excel applications. The evaluation results show a positive impact on students' abilities and ease of learning management for teachers. The Batch 1 Teaching Campus Program at Cihaur State Elementary School, Sukabumi Regency, West Java, can be considered successful in increasing the effectiveness of learning during the pandemic emergency. Increasing student interest in learning and adapting technology are important points in dealing with sudden changes in the learning system. This program creates positive integration of values ​​in the social and educational system in Cihaur Village. Therefore, it is important to implement this kind of collaborative activity widely to support improving the quality of education in the future.

Abstract

Community service activities for Teachers at Vocational School Sumatra 40 Bandung aim to optimize teachers who want to update their Basic Accounting Knowledge. It also helps to improve their basic accounting skills by expanding the marketing they gain after understanding basic accounting knowledge. The role of Basic Accounting Knowledge today is not only the ability to calculate, record, and make financial reports but also to provide new understanding and knowledge that students need. It is hoped that students will gain new knowledge that can be applied in the world of work so as to produce more competitive graduates. At the start of updating Basic Accounting knowledge, a solution is needed to resolve a series of problems, namely training in basic Accounting Knowledge, such as understanding the philosophy of assets, liabilities, and equity. From these three materials, it is hoped that you will have a good mastery of assets, liabilities, and equity. This update is also needed to be transferred to students facing accounting problems they will encounter in the world of work. As a result of this activity, the teachers at SMK Sumatra 40 Bandung have implemented financial management in every unit in the school, which becomes an example of implementation for their students.

Abstract

Villages, as the smallest sphere of society in the country, are often forgotten as an effort to realize it. To improve the village economy, BUMDes should be a body that has an important role. However, this is not reflected because Kembahang II Village itself only has one operating BUMDes, namely BUMDes Sumber Maju. Therefore, counseling and training related to BUMDes is needed for the village community. The community service team of the Faculty of Economics, Sriwijaya University, has conducted training on micro-enterprises through a program to build partnerships for access to capital and business financing in Ulak Kembahang II Village. The results obtained from the service training are the provision of educational material on how to manage micro businesses through the development of village business proposal profiles through the development of BUMDes so that later it can encourage the economic growth of Ulak Kembahang II Village to run well. The level of understanding of the participants who attended the training was evidenced by the level of thinking about the objectives and benefits of the training material that had been provided by 64.0% answering strongly agree and 36.0% only answering agree from the total number of participants present of 25 participants.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology greatly impacts education, especially in learning. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is pivotal in various sectors, including education. This study explores AI's role in student learning at Universitas Pelita Bangsa. AI adaptation addresses challenges like educator scarcity, offering tailored learning experiences. It fosters active engagement and immediate feedback. However, overreliance on AI may hinder creativity and change traditional teaching. A study was conducted at Universitas Pelita Bangsa, engaging 50 students through a Zoom seminar. Topics included AI introduction, educational applications, and pros and cons. Findings show high satisfaction (75% satisfied, 20% highly satisfied). Enhanced learning quality was observed. In conclusion, AI integration holds potential for better learning outcomes. Continuous evaluation and adaptability are vital. This study highlights the importance of student-centric approaches in AI integration.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve the performance capabilities of the village government through the socialisation of the use of technology in Matara Village, Semangga District, Merauke Regency. The socialisation of the use of technological devices not only improves the performance of the village government but also empowers the community to be more active and effective in participating in village development, which is very important because it is related to efficient and quality public services to the local community. The approach in this community service involves collaboration between the service team and the village apparatus. In this activity, the socialisation of training in the use of Microsoft Office using a laptop was carried out. In the process, the author used a participatory method that actively involved the village community in planning and implementing the programme. The results of this community service showed positive changes in improving the ability of the community and village officials to use applications to create letters. There was a significant increase in their understanding of the functions of Word and Excel features. Socialisation of the use of technological tools has an important role in improving government performance in Matara Village. Through this service activity, it is hoped that there will be an increase in awareness and understanding of the importance of technology in supporting various government and development activities in Matara Village.

Abstract

Empowering women for quality education: uniting the vision aimed at increasing women's participation in supporting quality education. This research identifies the various challenges faced by women in gaining access to quality education and empowers them through collaborative efforts to unite their vision. This service method involves a series of activities such as workshops, training and group discussions to empower women in an educational environment. In addition, a participatory approach is also used to involve communities in identifying sustainable solutions. The results of this activity show increased public awareness of the importance of quality education for women and effective collaborative strategies in achieving this goal. Through women's empowerment and unified vision, it is hoped that an inclusive and sustainable educational environment can be created for all groups.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to promote and strengthen the identity of Bima City through the development of typical Bima weaving. The method is to take part in the Lombok Essay Competition Event. The activity began with cultural and economic observations in Bima City, followed by assistance in the preparation of scientific work on Bima typical weaving which was presented at the event on March 9-12 2024. The results showed that the Bima typical weaving industry provided a significant multiplier effect on other industries in Bima City. Analysis of the Input-Output derivation table shows an increase in final demand of 1.4 billion rupiah in the Bima typical weaving industry. In conclusion, this activity is able to promote Bima's typical weaving as the identity of Bima City and provide a positive economic impact, as well as having the potential to support local development and community empowerment.

Abstract

Teachers have a responsibility not only to deliver lesson material, but also to shape the character and mental well-being of students. For this reason, the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at the Muhammadiyah University of Tasikmalaya held a "Healthy Mental Training" program at the Nurul Amal Ciamis Islamic Boarding School, discussing healthy mental management and a healthy mental mindset. This training aims to provide an in-depth understanding of mental health, provide knowledge about mental health disorders, symptoms, and how to manage them, and educate teachers about the importance of supporting students who experience mental health problems. The activity method involves preparation, implementation and evaluation, with a focus on teachers' understanding and awareness of the importance of students' mental health. The article highlights efforts to empower teachers as agents of change in creating an educational environment that supports growth for both teachers and students.
