Abstract

Degenerative disease is a disease that commonly occurs due to increasing age, so that the function of the body's organs decreases in function. This disease is also triggered by an unhealthy lifestyle, such as poor diet and lack of physical activity. This causes degenerative diseases not only suffered by the elderly, but also occurs in someone at an early age. Some cases of degenerative diseases can cause patients to undergo treatment and even complications that can lead to death. This is the reason the community service team took the theme of degenerative disease education and made Laliko Village a partner for this activity. The method of activity is through lectures with the help of powerpoint using an LCD. Analysis of the data using a comparison of the initial test and the final test. The initial stage is done by giving a test in the form of questions orally, this is intended to see the understanding of the participants. Furthermore, providing education about degenerative diseases. The last stage is giving questions as a final test. This serves to measure the knowledge of participants after being given education. The results of the service show that there has been an increase in the knowledge of the participants, which can be seen from the ability of the participants to respond or answer correctly the questions posed by the service presenters. This service activity went smoothly because of the positive support from partners and good cooperation between partners and the service team.

Abstract

School is a place that plays an effective role in shaping the character of children in which many breakthroughs are activated, one of which is the market day program. This activity is a means of teaching and growing the entrepreneurial character of students whose contents contain a lot of commendable attitudes. This research was conducted at SDIT Insan Kamil, Melawi Regency using a qualitative approach. The techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation to the research subjects consisting of principals, teachers, and parents of students. The results of the study indicate that the market day program in this educational institution has been formed through the school's vision of forming a rabbinic generation, intelligent, and competitive globally. Implementation is carried out in collaboration with parents starting from mentoring, supervision, product management, and marketing which are taught routinely to students so that the impact of the market day program is found that it can foster entrepreneurial character including being cheerful (attending and participating in learning), getting used to a healthy lifestyle, cooperate with parents, good communication, thorough, never give up, tenacious and always grateful (setting aside profits for the afterlife).

Abstract

The development of science and technology that is increasing rapidly at the time causes the development of information to grow rapidly. Dukuh Kalitan is one area that has a young generation with low interest in reading. One of the reasons for this lack of interest in reading is the lack of education about the importance of reading for the younger generation. Another factor is found in the field is the unavailability of reading facilities in Dukuh Kalitan. The solution offered from these problems is the procurement of an ergonomic reading chair. The reading chair will be made based on the user’s body dimensions. The goal is to make users feel comfortable, prevent risks that occur due to workloads, and increase user satisfaction. The method used through a combination of empowerment includes methods: increasing knowledge in the form of counseling and procuring products in the form of an ergonomic reading chair. The procurement of ergonomic reading chairs is carried out by measuring the user’s body dimensions using anthropometry and percentile calculations. The design of this ergonomic reading chair uses a design type for adjustable use. The conclusions that can be drawn are as follows: (1) the principle of ergonomics is very relevant in designing an ergonomic reading chair that fits the dimensions of the user’s body; (2) there are 7 dimensions for designing an ergonomic reading chair for teenagers in Dukuh Kalitan, namely: popliteal height, popliteal buttocks, hip width, sitting shoulder height, shoulder width, sitting elbow height and forearm length.

Abstract

Household waste is the remainder of the process of human activities that is not reused and is considered to be of no use. Many people in Dusun Citeureup I manage their waste by burning it in front or behind their house. Burning garbage is not the right thing because the existing waste has not been separated so that it allows air and soil pollution. The method of implementing this program is counseling, training and mentoring with the practice of composting food waste, making Eco Enzyme leftover fruit peels, and making a vertical cultivation system from used bottles. This program is implemented involving housewives as participants.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of community service carried out in the form of Synbiotic Structured Education (Probiotics and Prebiotics). The data analysis method uses a statistical test of hypothesis testing on changes in the Mac Nemar change test to ascertain whether or not there is a change in the behavior of the object of research. In this method, the change in state or response shown by the object is analyzed with the help of a table called a 2 x 2 frequency table. The table is used as a tool because this method is applied to 2 groups of paired samples. The conclusion of community service that has been carried out in the form of structured education of synbiotics (probiotics and prebiotics) in order to increase the community's resistance to the spread of COVID-19 is able to make changes in behavior by the community in general and families in particular in applying the use of synbiotics to increase the body's resistance to enteric cases. acute and respiratory infections.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed many people's lifestyles. Restrictions on community activities require the community to be smart in dealing with the situation to be able to maintain economic conditions and the health of their families. In the development of society which is now instantaneous, the increase in public consumption is also followed by an increase in waste which is a source of environmental problems (pollution). With the majority of the livelihoods of the residents of Beringin Raya Village being informal, they are most affected by the pandemic. Therefore, there needs to be other activities that provide direct benefits to the community. An activity that is easy to do and provides great benefits, one of which is to process organic household waste for something more valuable, in this case eco enzyme. With housewives as the spearhead of change, their involvement in outreach activities to increase knowledge and skills is important. Not only the provision of materials but also demonstrations of making eco-enzymes and distribution of samples became the motivation to make changes.

Abstract

This activities aims to help empower the community’s economy duting pandemic covid-19 in Pagar Batu Village, Seginim District, South Bengkulu. The potential resources in this village are abundant sweet potato plants, but the processing is still simple and the marketing process is not too extensive, causing the selling price of sweet potatoes to be not too high. The method used in this activities consists og three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation of activities. This activities was carried out on July 26th until August 8th 2021 which was attended by ten women and young women. The acticities of processing sweet potatoes into purple sweey potato sticks got a good response by the community. Many people are motivated to implement this product as a business opportunity to increasing their income from selling the product during pandemic.

Abstract

Doing business or selling mask connectors by housewives requires the right marketing method. The lack of knowledge of housewives about digital marketing inspires the empowerment team to convey information about using digital marketing to sell their products in Kelurahan Pasar Bengkulu. The method of activities used includes socialization and providing training. The results obtained are that housewives in Kelurahan Pasar Bengkulu understand the use of digital marketing and will implement to selling promotion of their mask connectors.

Abstract

Prevention of stunting in children in Indonesia still needs attention, including Bengkulu. One form of stunting prevention activity is through community service activities. This service activity is in the form of socialization about stunting prevention in Keban Agung Village, Seluma Regency. The purpose of implementing stunting socialization is to provide self-awareness to villagers about the importance and dangers of stunting. The method used is observation and socialization about stunting. The results obtained are that the residents of Keban Agung Village receive early knowledge and awareness to prevent stunting in children and are aware of implementing a healthy lifestyle to avoid stunting and other diseases.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia since March 2020 has had a negative impact on the community's economy in fullfil the needs of life and working. The decline in community activity has an impact on the business sector, especially food stalls, street vendors, small shops and others. The use of masks has become a lifestyle due to the corona virus pandemic creating business opportunities related to women's accessories, namely mask connectors. The mask connector is the product chosen to be given skills in this empowerment activity so that the community can take advantage of this business opportunity as an effort to take advantage of business opportunities during the pandemic and increase family income.
