Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between social media marketing activities used by several airlines and the dimensions of social media marketing activities, namely entertainment, customization, interaction, trendiness, e-word of mouth on brand awareness, and brand image to seek influence on purchase intention. This study used Survey Research on all airline service passengers in several Indonesian airlines, which was distributed to 161 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Data testing methods are instrument tests with validity and reliability tests using SmartPLS software 3. Data analysis methods use Structural Equation Model (SEM) using SmartPLS software 3. The results reveal social media marketing activities' positive and significant impact on brand awareness and image. It was found that the dimensions of social media marketing activities, namely entertainment, customization, interaction, trendiness, and e-word of mouth, significantly had a positive effect on brand awareness and brand image, and brand awareness had a positive impact on brand image, while brand awareness did not influence purchase intention and brand image has a significant effect on purchase intention. This research has several theoretical and practical implications that can benefit managers, especially airlines, in their marketing to use various activities on social media such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and Tiktok.

The population used in this study were all Indonesian Nobel Institute of Technology and Business students who used the iPhone, with a sample of 96 respondents. The sampling technique is a non-probability sampling technique, namely convenience sampling. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire technique. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis techniques, classic assumption test, F test, t-test, and coefficient of determination. The results of this study indicate that brand image, product quality, and lifestyle simultaneously influence Iphone purchasing decisions. Brand image and lifestyle have a partial effect on iPhone purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Environmental degradation in Indonesia is becoming increasingly alarming due to growing demographic pressures, industrialisation, and weak natural resource management. This study aims to analyse the factors causing environmental degradation and formulate strategies for environmentally sustainable regional development as a means of achieving sustainability. This study employs a literature review method, drawing from 45 relevant scientific documents, books, and government policies. Literature selection was conducted using purposive sampling based on topic relevance and depth of analysis. The analysis was conducted thematically to identify patterns of relationships between demographic, economic, socio-cultural, and institutional factors and environmental conditions. The results of the study indicate that environmental degradation in Indonesia is the result of complex interactions between these factors, which reinforce each other. Environmental development efforts will only be effective if they are systematically integrated into national and regional development strategies, combining ecological perspectives, environmentally friendly technological innovations, good governance, and ethical values and local wisdom. The implications of this research emphasise the need to strengthen cross-sectoral synergies, public participation, and the adoption of clean technology as key pillars in maintaining ecosystem sustainability while promoting inclusive economic growth.

Abstract

Regional autonomy grants extensive authority to local governments to manage human resources (HR) as part of efforts to achieve good governance. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as HR capacity gaps, budget constraints, and the influence of globalisation. This study aims to analyse the relevance of regional autonomy in HRD to strengthen the principles of good governance and formulate appropriate development strategies. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a SWOT analysis approach. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews and observations in several local governments selected purposively based on criteria of active HRD programmes. Secondary data were collected from official government documents, publications from the Central Statistics Agency, and relevant policy reports. The analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and methods. The results indicate that the success of good governance is highly dependent on the quality of human resources and an adaptive bureaucratic structure. Strengths include local autonomy, demographic potential, and regulatory support, while weaknesses include disparities in human resource quality and limited performance evaluation. The greatest opportunities lie in the utilisation of digital technology and strategic partnerships, while threats include brain drain and inconsistent regulatory changes. The implications of this study emphasise the importance of an integrated strategy that combines human resource capacity building, technology utilisation, and national character building as instruments of national power in facing the challenges of globalisation.

Abstract

Regional autonomy is a constitutional mandate that grants broad authority to regions to regulate and manage their own government affairs and local interests in accordance with laws and regulations. This policy not only serves as the foundation for good governance, but also as a strategy for empowering regions in facing the demands of globalisation. This study aims to analyse regional autonomy management from a human resource management (HRM) perspective, focusing on the role of regional leaders and the competence of civil servants (ASN) in supporting the effectiveness of regional governance. The research design is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The research population includes all government officials in the New Autonomous Regions (DOB) that are the research locations, while the sample was selected purposively based on their direct involvement in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of regional policies. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews, then analysed using thematic analysis to identify patterns and relationships between variables. The results of the study indicate that the success of regional autonomy management is greatly influenced by visionary leadership, professional civil servant competence, and an organisational culture oriented towards public service. Effective human resource management implementation can strengthen institutional capacity, improve service quality, and promote regional autonomy. These findings imply the need for strengthening capacity building of civil servants, implementing a merit-based system in recruitment and promotion, and conducting consistent performance evaluations to ensure the sustainability of regional autonomy.

Abstract

Strengthening Nation and Character Building based on Islamic values has become an urgent need amid global moral crisis, radicalism, and the disorientation of values among the younger generation. This study aims to formulate a concept of Islamic education based on tazkiyah that can shape a complete Muslim personality while contributing to the formation of national character. This study employs a qualitative approach using literature review and content analysis of works by Islamic education scholars, particularly Al-Ghazali and Ahmad Sanusi, selected purposively due to the relevance of their thoughts to the research topic. Data sources include classical and contemporary literature, as well as previous studies discussing Islamic education philosophy, tazkiyah, and character development. The analysis was conducted thematically to identify the concepts, stages, and implementation of tazkiyah in education. The results of the study indicate that tazkiyah encompasses the purification of the soul (tazkiyah al-nafs), the purification of the mind (tazkiyah al-‘aql), and the purification of the body (tazkiyah al-jism), which proceed through three stages—Islam, Iman, and Ihsan—and integrate cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions. This approach is considered relevant to be integrated into the Islamic education curriculum as a strategy for strengthening national character in a holistic manner. The implications of this research are theoretical, enriching the study of Islamic educational philosophy, and practical, serving as a reference for educators and policymakers in designing tazkiyah-based learning strategies.
