Abstract

Abstract

Radiography of the ossa pedis (lower extremities) is an examination of the foot bones consisting of 26 bones and divided into 3 parts, namely, 7 ossa tarsalia, 5 ossa metatarsal, and 14 ossa phalanges using a general X-ray plane that aims to show or describe the structure of the bones in the pedis. Corpus alienum is the entry of foreign objects into the body abnormally, usually caused by gunshots, stabs, inhalation, swallowing in certain parts. The radiographic technique used is the dorso-plantar and lateral projections of the plane used is a fixed general radiography with a capacity of (500 mA) but the author only uses (200 mA) and image recording using Digital Radiography. The type of research used is qualitative and descriptive research by means of observation, interviews, data analysis then this research was conducted on April 10-May 10, 2025 in the radiology installation of Drs. H. Amri Tambunan Lubuk Pakam Hospital using a general X-ray unit.

Abstract

Abdominal radiography with suspected swallowed foreign body can be defined as an abdominal examination for a sudden condition in the form of a foreign object in the abdominal cavity that requires immediate action. Foreign body is a common cause of emergency unit visits and can enter the human body through various methods, namely by swallowing, inhalation, and intentional insertion. Foreign body can occur at all ages, especially children because they often put objects into their mouths. This study aims to find out how to perform an abdominal examination with suspected foreign body where the patient is a child. The projections used are Antero-Posterior Erect and Lateral, which can show the anatomy and location of the foreign body in the abdominal cavity. The type of research carried out is a qualitative research method, with data collection techniques based on observation results. The results of the study obtained abdominal radiographic examination with suspected foreign body with film processing carried out using Digital Radiography (DR).

Abstract

The vertebral column is the main pillar of the body's bones that supports the head, upper extremities, and chest cavity. One of the abnormalities in the thoracolumbar vertebrae is Scoliosis. Scoliosis is a deformity of the spine to the lateral side that is excessive in the vertebrae. The effects of Scoliosis will be clearly visible if this disease attacks the lumbar region and causes the pelvis to tilt which impacts the lower extremities so that the patient limps or cannot balance when walking. Scoliosis examination is carried out using several projections, namely Anteroposterior (AP) for supine patients or Posteroanterior (PA) for erect patients is more recommended, Lateral with an erect position, and (AP) bending right and left. This examination was carried out at Bhayangkara TK II Medan in May 2025 with observation and interviews, through image processing using Computer Radiography (CR). The X-ray machine used in the implementation of Lumbar Vertebrae column radiography with suspected Scoliosis is a type of machine with a capacity of 500 mA, but researchers chose a large focus of 200 mA to obtain optimal image sharpness. Because the object being examined is relatively large, it is best to use a grid for image contrast (200 mA).

Abstract

The humerus is the longest and largest bone in the upper extremity. It articulates proximally with the scapula and distally with the elbow or antebrachium. The proximal end of the humerus has a rounded head (caput humeri) that articulates with the glenoid cavity of the scapula to form the glenohumeral joint. Distal to the humeral head is the anatomical neck, which appears as an oblique groove. Distal to the anatomical neck is the greater tubercle. The greater tubercle is the most palpable lateral landmark of the humerus in the shoulder region. Between the greater tubercle and the lesser tubercle is a groove called the intertubercular sulcus. The primary function of the humerus is to provide attachment for arm muscles and support various physical functions of the arm. A fracture is a condition in which the continuity of bone and cartilage is disrupted due to impact or osteoporosis. Multiple fractures are a condition in which the continuity of bone tissue is lost in more than one line. This study aims to produce an optimal radiographic image of the left humerus with suspected Multiple Fractures of the Middle 1/3 of the Humerus, so that the photo results can be used as accurate results for further treatment. This study was conducted at the Radiology Installation of Drs. H. Amri Tambunan Regional General Hospital, the research time was in April 2025, the research method used was the interview method, and direct observation. Examination of the left humerus with suspected Multiple Fractures of the Middle 1/3 of the Humerus was carried out using Antero-Posterior and Lateral projections. In this examination the author used a general X-ray unit, with the image recording process using digital radiography (DR).

Abstract

Elbow Joint is the joint between the radius-ulna and the humerus. The Elbow Joint examination technique is a radiological examination to see clinical or disease around the elbow joint. In the clinical there is a disease called Arthritis which is inflammation of the joints, especially in the elbow joint. The purpose of this study was to determine the Elbow Joint examination technique and the results of the Elbow Joint radiograph image with clinical arthritis at the Radiology Installation of Medan Haji General Hospital in May 2025, using an x-ray machine with a capacity of 500 mA, but the author only used 100 mA to obtain optimal image sharpness. This study uses a qualitative method, data collection is carried out through observation techniques, and consultations with radiology specialists, and discussions with radiographers, as well as documentation and library studies. The collected data are then analyzed to obtain conclusions. The results of the study show that the Elbow Joint examination technique in clinical arthritis uses two projections, namely Antero posterior and Lateral. through image processing using Computer Radiography (CR). In the lateral projection, the object position is not correct due to the patient's stiff condition. However, the radiograph results produced show a fairly clear anatomical image, so they can help establish a diagnosis.
