Abstract

Abstract Gabus fish is rich of albumin. This fish as albumin source for hypoalbumin (lower albumin) patients and wound, both post operation wound and burn. Albumin have many sulfhydrile compound (SH) have a function as radikal bind. Protein which have rich of –SH compound be able to binding hazard metal and also antioxidant effects and salic acid. At present, albumin produced from human blood, then the price is expensive enough. The finding of albumin extract from gabus fish then become alternative to get cheap albumin. This research purposed to recognize about the influence by providing different protein feed on albumin level and the growth of gabus fish. Method that used in this research is experimental method, with Complete Random Design as trial design. Treatment that given such different protein level included, Po treatment with 26% protein, P1 treatment with 29% protein, P2 treatment with 32% protein respective repeated six times. The main parameter that observed are albumin and growth of Gabus fish. Supporting parameter that observed in this research are temperature measurement, pH and DO, Variant Analysis (ANOVA) and to know about Duncan Multiple Range test treatment. The result of the research indicates that found different albumin level on Gabus fish is not real among treatment above on observation yields. The highest average of albumin level found in P2 treatment, while lowest influence taken from treatments of P0 and P1. The growth of Gabus fish with providing commercial feed with different protein level indicates that found different growth of real Gabus fish (p< 0,05). The highest yield taken from P2 treatment is really different with other treatments. While lowest yield taken from P0 and P2 treatment.

Abstract

AbstractIncreasing consumption of catfish and dairy products encourage increased domestic production of catfish. During the period of 5 years (2005-2009), catfish production has been increased significantly with an average annual growth reached 32%. In 2008 production reached 114.371 tonnes and in 2009 production increased by almost 75% to about 200 thousand tons. Aquaponic is a bio-integration that links recirculating aquaculture principles to the production of crops / vegetables hydroponically (Diver, 2006). Aquaponic technology has proven to successfully produce an optimal fish on less land and limited water resources, including in urban areas (Ahmad, 2007). This study aims to find out the influences of catfish stocking density difference on the growth rate and survival rate of catfish on aquaponic. The experimental design used was completely randomized design (CRD). Analysis of the data processed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to know whether there is influance the growth rate and survival rate between the treatment given. If there are significantly difference then proceed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test. Based on the research obtained the result that there are significant differences in the survival rate (p> 0.01) and there is a significant difference to the rate of growth (p> 0,01). From the results of statistical tests that have been done show that the highest survival rate is in treatment 4 (87.5333%) and the highest growth rate is in treatment 4 (30.5333%). The lowest Survival found in treatment 1 (53.134%). Lowest growth rate found in treatment 1 (16.6%).

Abstract

Abstract Tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon Fab) is one of the economically important shrimp, until 1992 became the most important of non petroleum export commodity from fishery sector. Since the end of 1993 up to now, the Penaeus monodon Fab death level has been relatively high and due to this circumstance have been caused many ponds collapsed so that the shrimp production was dramatically declined for year by year. Banyuates District is one of the Sampang Region areas which have big fisheries potential, aspecially for the breakist water pond, that the topest as the other district. There are a lot of shrimp dead cases until now. But, so that 80% of breakist water pond were broken and not operational. The objective of this societies service activities is applicated a new shrimp culture technology with traditional plus Imuno-Biocirculation System. Imuno-Biocirculation System (SI-PBR) for increases the shrimp harvest at Candi District Region of Sidoarjo, at May until Desember 2013. The method using in the activity were socialitation/counseling, dempond and guiding to application of the SI-PBR model in one periode. Monitoring and evaluation about this result were done in one month after the activity ending. This result showed that a positive indication. There was the knowledges of the farmer in ceases by socialization, it also applicated a model in the right method for shrimp culture. There were also showed that the SI-PBR model can in ceased the shrimp harvest from 272,43 kg/ha to 854,66 kg/ha, it means was increased 313%. The conclution of this activity is the SI-PBR model can increased the shrimp harvest and can applicates in more larges area in Sidoarjo Region.

Abstract

Abstract Gouramy (Osphronemus goramy Lac.) belongs to a group of freshwater fish that have an important economic value and has been cultivated as other economic fish. Increase of biomass production in an aquaculture should consider feeding factors. Not every components in the feed can be absorbed in the digestive process. Parts that can not be absorbed by the body will be issued in the form of the feces so it can be determined the value of the digestibility of a feed material. Crude fiber and nitrogen free extract (NFE) digestibilty value is kind of nutrition that can be determinated. This study aims to determine the digestibility value of crude fiber and nitrogen free extract (NFE) in different commercial feed mills in gouramy (Osphronemus goramy Lac.). This study used 3 treatments, P1 ( commercial feed A), P2 (commercial feed B) and P3 (commercial feed C) with 6 replications. Digestibility value measurement method used was taking feces with surgical techniques. Feces retrieval method aims to minimize water contact with feces. The research design used in this study is completely randomized design. Observed variables are digestibility of crude fiber and nitrogen free extract (NFE). Based on the results of the study can be seen that in the used of diffetent commercial feed there is no significant difference (p> 0.05) on the digestibility value of crude fiber and nitrogen free extract.

Abstract

Abstract Based on the food habits, gurami is omnivorous fish that feed herbivorous carp tend consists of natural food and artificial feed (pellets). The feed is needed to support the growth and survival of Gurami. If feed is given in accordance with the eating habits of Gurami and contain high nutritional Gurami can then growth accelerated faster. Some types of bacteria found in the digestive tract of animals has an important role in order to improve feed utilization, fish health, and environmental quality improvement and microorganisms. In addition, some bacterial flora in the gastrointestinal tract plays an important role and produce several types of enzymes in the digestive tract may contribute to the metabolism of the host. The purpose of this study was to determine the bacteria in the digestive tract of Gurami (Osphronemus gouramy) were given three different types of commercial feed. This study begins with a sampling of Gurami (Oshpronemus gouramy) of maintenance in the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine at Airlangga University in Surabaya and then do stage isolation and identification of bacteria in laboratory bacteria and Microbiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Airlangga University Surabaya. This study was conducted in July 2013. This research is a descriptive study, the method of solving the problem by describing the subject matter into a form that is easy to understand and based on facts. Results of research on gurami fish that given by three different types of commercial feed, there are two types of bacteria that dominate in the digestive tract of carp, the Pseudomonas sp. and Serratia sp. Both types of bacteria has the potential to help the digestive system of gurami fish. The result of this research are need for further research using the bacterium Pseudomonas sp. and Serratia sp. as probiotics.

Abstract

Abstract Nila (Oreochromis niloticus) is one of the leading commodity and each year will always be increased in both local and export markets. It's in line and will continue to grow due to the tendency of shifting market demand for commodities is of the dead form of fish (frozen) or other processed into a form of life, especially for the needs of breeders on commodity stocks. One of the latest post-harvest technologies that can be applied in the handling of live fish is a fish transport system in the dry media without use of water as a medium of transport with the use of anesthesia using plants that naturally contain active compounds that have the potential as a anesthesia drugs. This study aimed to determine the length of time different fish living on the transportation system with particular concentration infusum dried leaves of durian (Durio zibethinus) effect on the survival rate of nila (O. niloticus). Methods of this study is an experiment with three replications with different concentration intervals. It consisted of a preliminary study to determine the potential infusum durian leaves as anesthesia and primary research material as a form of media applications on the system dry. This study was conducted at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Airlangga University. The results showed that the effective concentration of durian leaves infusum used to transport test was 4100 ppm with an average induction time is 40 minutes and recovery time is 48 minutes. Durian leaves infusum use in nila with 4100 ppm concentration able to achieve the level of survival and long transportation times in a row 100%, 0 h, 88.89%; 2 h, 22.22%; 4 h, 0%; 6 h, and 0%, 8 h on media packaging live fish without water.
