Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mediating role of brand image in the effect of promotional appeal on customer loyalty, specifically in the context of Jiniso fashion products. The research was conducted in Denpasar City using a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique. A total of 100 respondents were selected based on specific criteria relevant to the study objectives. The data were analyzed using inferential statistical techniques, including path analysis, the Sobel test, and the Variance Accounted For (VAF) test to determine the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results of the study show that promotional appeal has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, indicating that attractive and persuasive promotional strategies are capable of increasing consumer commitment to the brand. Furthermore, promotional appeal has a positive and significant effect on brand image, meaning that well-designed promotional messages help build a favorable perception of the brand among customers. The findings also reveal that brand image has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, demonstrating that a strong brand image enhances customer retention and repeated purchases. Importantly, the analysis indicates that brand image partially mediates the relationship between promotional appeal and customer loyalty. This suggests that while promotional appeal directly influences loyalty, it also indirectly enhances loyalty through the improvement of brand image. These findings provide practical implications for marketers and brand managers, emphasizing the importance of developing integrated marketing strategies that combine promotional efforts with brand-building activities to strengthen customer loyalty in the competitive fashion industry. Future research could examine other mediating factors or expand the study to other sectors to increase external validity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of business capital, product pricing, and the utilization of e-commerce on the income of micro culinary business actors in Denpasar City. The background of this research is based on the crucial role of micro enterprises in economic development, particularly in the culinary sector, which is one of the largest contributors to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Denpasar City. Despite the sector's significant growth, increasing competition and uneven adoption of technology remain key challenges in improving business income. This study employs a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The population includes micro culinary business actors spread across the four districts of Denpasar City. The sample was determined proportionally using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique, and respondents were selected using accidental sampling to ensure broad representation. Primary data were collected through direct observation and structured questionnaires, while secondary data were obtained from relevant government institutions such as the Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs and the Central Statistics Agency. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression, supported by classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity), the F-test to determine the simultaneous influence of the variables, and the t-test to analyze the partial influence of each independent variable on income. The findings indicate that simultaneously, business capital, pricing, and e-commerce significantly influence the income of micro business actors. Partially, each of these variables also shows a positive and significant effect. Business capital provides the foundation for operational activities, pricing affects consumer demand and competitiveness, while e-commerce broadens market reach and improves efficiency. These results highlight the importance of strategic financial management, appropriate pricing strategies, and the adoption of digital platforms to support income growth and sustainability of micro culinary enterprises in Denpasar City.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the Selena application’s service features on job satisfaction among sales personnel at PT Pegadaian Kanwil VII Denpasar, with the interest in using technology serving as a mediating variable. The research is motivated by the growing importance of digital applications in supporting operational performance and employee satisfaction, especially in the financial services sector. A quantitative causal research approach was employed to examine the relationships between the variables. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to respondents and supplemented with interviews to gain deeper insights. The sample consisted of 50 active sales personnel operating in the Bali region, selected using purposive sampling to ensure relevance to the research objectives. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method through the WarpPLS 8.0 application. This analytical approach was chosen because it is effective in testing complex causal relationships and mediation effects, even with relatively small sample sizes. The findings reveal that the service features of the Selena application have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, the service features also exert a positive and significant influence on employees’ interest in using technology. The interest in using technology itself positively and significantly affects job satisfaction, confirming its role as an important factor in enhancing workplace outcomes. In addition, the mediation test results demonstrate that the interest in using technology significantly mediates the effect of service features on job satisfaction. These results highlight the importance of continuously improving application service features and fostering employees’ willingness to adopt technology to maximize job satisfaction and overall performance.

Abstract

The growing coffee production rate in Indonesia reflects an increasing public interest in coffee consumption. Fore Coffee, a local coffee shop, has taken advantage of this trend since 2018. However, strong competition from other coffee shops has placed Fore Coffee in third place in the Top Brand Award rankings for the past two years, indicating the need for more effective marketing strategies to boost purchase intention among potential consumers. This study aims to analyze the role of brand awareness in mediating the effect of social media marketing on purchase intention among prospective consumers of Fore Coffee in Denpasar City. The research was conducted with a sample of 120 respondents, using surveys with offline and online questionnaires. The sample was selected through a non-probability purposive sampling method. The data analysis was performed using path analysis and the Sobel test with SPSS version 25. The study’s results indicate that all hypotheses are supported. Social media marketing positively and significantly affects purchase intention, suggesting that effective social media strategies can directly influence consumers' willingness to purchase. Additionally, social media marketing positively impacts brand awareness, meaning that well-executed social media campaigns help consumers become more familiar with the brand. Furthermore, brand awareness has a significant positive effect on purchase intention, implying that increased awareness of Fore Coffee enhances the likelihood of purchase. The study also found that brand awareness partially mediates the relationship between social media marketing and purchase intention, indicating that social media marketing's impact on purchase intention is stronger when combined with high brand awareness. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating social media marketing with brand awareness strategies to improve consumer purchase intention.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the influence of capital, labor, raw materials, and production processes on the income of woven cloth artisans in Klungkung Regency, Bali. The woven cloth industry in this region holds significant historical and cultural value, yet faces challenges in increasing productivity and income. The study employed a quantitative approach with an associative method, combining data collection techniques through direct observation, structured interviews, and secondary data collection from relevant government agencies. The study population consisted of 120 artisan groups, with a sample of 92 groups determined using simple random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics to map the general conditions of the respondents, and path analysis using SPSS software to identify direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results indicate that capital, labor, and raw materials positively and significantly influence woven cloth production volume. Furthermore, capital, labor, raw materials, and production simultaneously have a significant direct influence on artisan income, with raw materials emerging as the most dominant factor. These findings confirm that the availability of quality raw materials, the quantity and skills of the workforce, and capital adequacy play a central role in improving production performance and artisan welfare. In addition to direct influences, this study also found an indirect effect of capital, labor, and raw materials on income through the mediation of production variables. This suggests that efforts to improve production factors can automatically strengthen income, both directly and through increased production output. The study's recommendations include the need for policies that facilitate access to capital, workforce training, and a sustainable supply of raw materials to support the sustainability of the woven fabric industry as a vital component of the local creative economy and Bali's cultural heritage.

Abstract

Transparent, accountable, and efficient regional financial management is a key responsibility in ensuring good governance. One of the government’s efforts to realize this is through the implementation of an accounting information system known as the Regional Government Information System SIPD, which plays a critical role in planning, budgeting, and financial reporting within local governments. However, the success of SIPD implementation depends not only on the quality of the system itself, but also on the level of user acceptance and usage. This study aims to examine the influence of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and trust on the acceptance of SIPD use at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency BPKAD of Karangasem Regency. The sample was determined using non-probability purposive sampling, with 36 employees who use SIPD as respondents. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and trust have a positive effect on SIPD acceptance. This suggests that when the system is perceived to improve performance, productivity, and effectiveness; simplify tasks; be easy to use, understand, and learn; enhance user skills; be trustworthy; and provide security and protection, user interest, satisfaction, and usage frequency will increase. Theoretically, this study supports the Technology Acceptance Model TAM in explaining the influence of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and trust on SIPD acceptance. Practically, the findings can be used as input and evaluation material for further SIPD development.

Abstract

This study explores the relationships between digital marketing content, value co-creation, and product branding on perceived product exclusivity within the Indonesian batik industry. As traditional industries face increasing pressure to modernize while preserving cultural heritage, understanding these marketing dynamics is crucial for achieving a sustainable competitive advantage. The study employed a quantitative methodology with saturated sampling, analyzing data from 92 batik enterprises using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS 4.0. The measurement model demonstrated strong reliability and validity, with all constructs meeting the established criteria for internal consistency and discriminant validity. Structural model results revealed that all three marketing variables significantly influence perceived product exclusivity. Among these variables, product branding showed the strongest effect (β = 0.358, p < 0.001), followed by digital marketing content (β = 0.312, p < 0.001) and value co-creation (β = 0.276, p < 0.001). This indicates that the branding strategies implemented by batik enterprises play a pivotal role in shaping consumers' perceptions of exclusivity. The integrated model explained 61.5% of the variance in perceived product exclusivity (R² = 0.615), with strong predictive relevance (Q² = 0.438). These findings underscore the importance of developing a strategic brand that not only reflects the unique qualities of batik but also resonates with contemporary consumer expectations. Additionally, the study highlights the role of digital marketing content in strengthening these perceptions and the significance of facilitating customer co-creation to enhance engagement and exclusivity. In conclusion, batik enterprises are encouraged to prioritize brand development while implementing comprehensive digital marketing strategies and fostering customer involvement in co-creation activities. This approach will enhance the exclusivity of their products and improve their market positioning within the contemporary cultural products landscape.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of green marketing on purchase decision with brand image as a mediating variable among consumers of Satvika Bhoga in Denpasar. The research is grounded in the increasing consumer awareness of environmental issues, which has not yet been fully reflected in consistent purchasing behavior toward environmentally friendly products. Despite a rise in environmental consciousness, many consumers remain skeptical or indifferent unless a brand manages to build a credible and positive image aligned with eco-friendly values. Employing a quantitative approach with an associative research design, data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to Satvika Bhoga consumers, selected using purposive sampling. The analysis was conducted using path analysis and the Sobel test to assess both direct and indirect relationships among variables. These methods allowed the researchers to examine not only the magnitude of influence but also the mediating role of brand image in shaping purchase decisions. The results indicate that green marketing has a positive and significant effect on purchase decision and significantly strengthens Satvika Bhoga’s brand image as an environmentally conscious brand. Furthermore, brand image was found to have a strong and statistically significant influence on purchase decision, confirming its role as a partial mediator. This implies that green marketing efforts, such as eco-friendly packaging, sustainable sourcing, and environmental messaging, not only influence consumer decisions directly but also enhance the overall brand perception, which in turn further motivates consumers to make purchases. Thus, businesses aiming to improve eco-product sales should prioritize consistent green marketing strategies that reinforce a trustworthy and environmentally responsible brand image.

Abstract

The rapid growth of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in the culinary sector in Denpasar City has made a significant contribution to the regional economy and job creation. This sector has become one of the key drivers of local economic activity, attracting both residents and tourists. However, despite its potential, challenges persist. Fluctuations in the number of MSE actors and the suboptimal use of social media for marketing hinder sustainable income growth. Moreover, poor decisions regarding business location and inappropriate pricing strategies often become barriers to achieving business success. This study aims to analyze the simultaneous effects of business location, pricing, and social media usage on the income of culinary MSEs in Denpasar City. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, in which questionnaires were distributed to 99 culinary MSE actors. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to evaluate the influence of each variable both simultaneously and partially. The results reveal that business location, pricing, and social media usage together have a significant effect on MSE income. Partially, business location and pricing show a positive and significant influence, indicating that strategic location selection and competitive pricing play crucial roles in increasing income. In contrast, social media usage does not significantly affect income, suggesting that while digital platforms have potential as marketing tools, their benefits remain limited without effective content strategies and adequate digital literacy. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening fundamental business aspects, particularly location and pricing strategies, to improve MSE performance. Furthermore, policy support and targeted assistance programs focusing on enhancing digital literacy and managerial capacity among MSE actors are essential. By addressing these areas, the culinary sector in Denpasar City can achieve more sustainable growth and contribute even more effectively to the local economy.

Abstract

This study empirically investigates the impact of information quality, system quality, and service quality on net benefits in cooperatives located in Badung Regency, specifically in Mengwi District. A quantitative research approach was employed, with non-probability sampling and purposive sampling as the chosen techniques. A total of 150 respondents, including cooperative managers and staff, participated in this study. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS 4.0 software. The study found that information quality significantly influences net benefits through system use and user satisfaction. High-quality information is critical for effective system use and leads to greater user satisfaction, which ultimately contributes to higher net benefits for the cooperatives. Similarly, system quality was also found to significantly affect net benefits, with the use of high-quality systems increasing system use and improving user satisfaction, further enhancing the net benefits received by the cooperatives. However, service quality did not show a significant direct impact on net benefits, nor did it have any significant effect through the mediating variables of system use and user satisfaction. This finding suggests that while service quality is important in many contexts, in the case of cooperatives in this study, the quality of the information and the system itself play a more prominent role in determining the net benefits. The results of this study emphasize the importance of focusing on improving information and system quality to maximize the net benefits in cooperatives. Cooperatives should prioritize investments in information technology systems and ensure that the information provided is accurate and relevant to enhance system use and user satisfaction. This, in turn, will lead to greater overall benefits for the cooperatives in Mengwi District, Badung Regency.
