Abstract

A learning model that can be implemented in the Stone and Concrete Practice course is the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model, which emphasizes project-based learning. The objective of this research is to provide a description of the implementation of project-based learning in the stone and concrete practice courses. This study employs a Pre-Experimental Design utilizing a One-Shot Case Study design. The instrument utilized in this research is the assessment of skills in Project Based Learning. From the results of the study it can be interpreted that the application of Project Based Learning in the Stone and Concrete Practice course obtains the proportion of Respondent Achievement Level (TCR) of the six assessment components of 83.85% which belongs to the good category. Consequently, the application of the Project Based Learning learning model in the Stone and Concrete Practice course leads to an improvement in students' masonry and concrete work skills.

Abstract

Padang pariaman district is one of potential region to develop being residence and settlement. From 2018 until these days, the subsidized housing is the dominated housing which been realised to be distributed for the low income community. Behind the developments, obstacles will be certainly faced by developers on the project fluidity. The adversity on building permits with stakeholder and developer deficiency of expertise are factors causing the housing project failure. This study purposes on discovering the success factor of housing project from perspectives of each stakeholder. The method of the study is mix methods. The study concludes that there are some successes factors of housing project based on perspective of each stakeholder. There is the commitment factor from the government institution perspective. While from the developer perspective, there are factors such as location, building quality, company management and guaranty. From consumer perspective, it associates with housing location, housing facility, housing quality and guaranty from developer. The dominant factor from the questionnaires’s result is the housing quality factor, so this can achive great influence category from the consumers.

Abstract

In airport construction, one crucial aspect to consider is the condition of the underlying soil on the runway. Following soil investigations at X project, it was determined that the soil condition is primarily characterized by soft soil layers, with Standard Penetration Test (SPT) values ranging from 4 to 10. In response to this condition, soil reinforcement was carried out using the stone column method. The objective of this study was to compare the bearing capacity and settlement of stone columns under various dimensional variations (spacing of 1.5 m, 2.0 m, 2.2 m; diameters of 0.4 m, 0.5 m, 0.6 m) and configuration patterns (square and triangular). Bearing capacity calculations were done manually, and settlement calculations were performed both manually and with the assistance program. The results were presented in tables and graphs. Using the FHWA method for bearing capacity calculations, it was found that bearing capacity increases as the diameter is increased and the spacing is reduced. Conversely, bearing capacity decreases as the diameter is reduced and the spacing is increased. The ultimate bearing capacity value for the triangular pattern installation exceeded that of the square pattern. Regarding settlement calculations after manual stone column installation, it was observed that settlement decreases as the diameter increases and the spacing between columns decreases. Settlement increases under opposite conditions. Settlement calculations using the Plaxis program focused on diameter and spacing between stone columns. During the service life, the highest settlement occurred with the triangular pattern, while the square pattern exhibited the lowest settlement.

Abstract

The construction development in West Sumatra province has not applied much green construction concept. This study aims to identify obstacles in implementing green construction in building construction projects and recommend appropriate solutions for local contractors in overcoming obstacles in their implementation. This research is quantitative descriptive research through the use of questionnaire surveys to selected respondents. The results of data analysis with the parameter ranking weighting method, significant obstacle factors were obtained, including; The implementation of green construction needs longer duration; Lack of ideal guidelines and operational standards regarding the implementation of green construction; The increase of project costs in purchase and management of construction materials; Unreadiness in recruiting professionals and project risks in the project closing out due to specific contract forms. Based on the results, it is expected that the government establishes operational guidelines for the implementation of green construction, prepares an adapted budget and schedule for green construction, professional training and appropriate risk mitigation plan related to green construction contracts.

Abstract

The Kelok 9 Bridge is uniquely designed and supported by a beautiful natural panorama. On one of these 9 curves, a rest area has been provided for road traffic users to rest, or for urgent needs when driving on the road, but because of its strategic location and very beautiful shape, it is often used as a tourist destination by most people. who travel to or from West Sumatra. This raises a new problem, this is because the local community sells by building buildings on the shoulder of the 9th bend. So the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of side friction on the performance of the 9th road section based on the level of service. This research examined the data and then analyzed using the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines. So on Sunday from 16.00-17.00 the h, the highest traffic volume value is obtained, with a traffic volume of 2.2221 Skr/hour and has area of Saturation of 0.613, indicating that the traffic conditions are heavy. Because the Degree of Saturation value is 0.613, the level of service for Jalan Kelok 9 C can be concluded that the flow is stable but the speed of vehicle movement is controlled.

Abstract

Pariaman City's waste generation in 2022 is 38.26 tons/day. Waste management in Pariaman City is still not optimal, resulting in waste piling up in TPA South Tungkal. The waste reduction value at the research location after processing with BSF larvae can reduce 0.005 tons/day or 0.02% of the total waste generation in Pariaman City. The environmental impacts in waste management studied are Global Warming Potential (GWP), Acidification Potential (AP), and Eutrophication Potential (EP). Reducing the environmental impact of processing organic waste has been carried out, the smallest impact reduction results were obtained, namely in scenario 1, namely processing organic waste with BSF larvae in waste banks and TPS 3R. The results obtained were the impact characterization value from comparing several impact categories. GWP value 32,060,838.136 103 kg CO2-eq, AP 0.00246 x103 SO2-eq, and EP 0.00134 x103 kg PO4-3. So it can be concluded that scenario 1 has a smaller GWP, AP, and EP impact on the environment compared to scenario 0 and is used as the best alternative scenario for waste management in Pariaman City

Abstract

Bricks materials used in making the walls of building. Currently, brick making has new innovations. As in this study using water treatment sludge waste and bacillus subtilis bacteria. Sludge waste done with percentage of 20% and bacillus subtilis bacteria much as 6%. The process adding bacteria called the Microbially Induced Calcite Precipitation (MICP) process. The process to increase compressive strength clay soil. The purpose study to determine effect of Bacillus subtilis bacteria on the strength bricks using mud and the strength of bricks with bacterial reinforcement. The results showed the compressive strength did not the specifications, where value of the compressive strength of bricks in accordance with SNI 15-2094-2000 is 50 kg / cm². And results of compressive strength only amounted to 22.82 kg / cm² in the 28-day curing period. For compressive strength using mixture of bacteria produces highest strength value the 4-day culture period of 28.11 kg kg/cm².

Abstract

Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) adalah salah satu perguruan tinggi negeri di kota Padang yang dalam beberapa tahun ini mengalami perkembangan yang cukup pesat. Hal ini juga secara tidak langsung akan menyebabkan meningkatnya penggunaan kendaraan pribadi oleh sivitas akademika dan pengguna lain yang beraktivitas di dalam kawasan kampus UNP. Diperlukan analisis dan solusi agar transportasi yang terjadi di UNP berjalan dengan lancar, aman dan nyaman. Penelitian ini menganalisis kinerja simpang dan ruas jalan di masa sekarang dan meramalkan kinerja simpang dan kinerja ruas jalan masa 5 tahun mendatang dengan memberikan solusi alternatif untuk memperbaiki permasalahan yang mungkin akan terjadi. Parameter yang digunakan untuk menjadi acuan pertumbuhan volume lalu lintas adalah pertumbuhan dari kenaikan jumlah mahasiswa, dosen, maupun karyawan UNP tiap tahunnya diperoleh sebesar 20%. Pengolahan data yang dilakukan mengacu kepada aturan MKJI 1997. Kinerja simpang jalan eksisting pada 5 tahun mendatang di kawasan UNP yaitu Derajat Kejenuhan 1,15 yang terbesar dan Derajat Kejenuhan terkecil 0,50. Diperoleh tundaan pada simpang yang terbesar yaitu 31,68 detik dan yang terkecil tundaan sebesar 8,55 detik. Sedangkan kinerja ruas jalan diperoleh Derajat Kejenuhan terbesar yaitu 0,70 dan terkecil 0,25. Menimbang kinerja jalan yang akan terjadi 5 tahun mendatang, maka perlu adanya solusi perbaikan simpang ataupun ruas, baik perubahan manajemen lalu lintas maupun perbaikan geometrik jalan. Serangkaian alternatif yang dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kinerja simpang yaitu pengalihan arus lalu lintas (jalan satu arah), memperbaiki geometrik jalan, dan pengaturan ulang manajemen lalu lintas.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang ada pada elemen Dasar Konstruksi Bangunan dan Perumahan adalah media pembelajaran yang digunakan belum memadai serta belum optimalnya pemahaman peserta didk mengenai materi Dasar Konstruksi Bangunan dan Perumahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat media pembelajaran Powtoon pada elemen Dasar Konstruksi Bangunan dan Perumahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (penelitian dan pengembangan) yang mengadaptasi model 4D, namum penelitian ini hanya sampai tahap 3D karena produk pengembangan tidak disebarkan. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket penilaian media pembelajaran untuk ahli media dan materi serta siswa. Berdasarkan penilaian produk terhadap media pembelajaran Powtoon pada elemen Dasar Konstruksi Bangunan dan Perumahanoleh ahli media dari semua aspek memperoleh penilaian sebesar 89.63% yang dikategorikan sangat valid, sedangkan penilaian ahli materi memperoleh penilaian sebesar 87.50% yang dikategorikan sangat valid. Penilaian dari 70 siswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 91% yang dikategorikan sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian, maka media yang dihasilkan dinyatakan valid dan praktis sehingga media layak di gunakan dalam pembelajaran Dasar Konstruksi Bangunan dan Perumahan.

Abstract

Pembuatan beton yang terus menerus membutuhkan material yang sangat banyak sehingga membuat ketersediaan sumber daya alam menurun, sehingga perlu adanya alternatif bahan pengganti maupun bahan tambah untuk pembuatan beton. Limbah cangkang lokan dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan tambahan dalam pembuatan beton karena cangkang lokan mengandung senyawa CaO yang dapat dijadikan sebagai penguat pada beton. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan abu cangkang lokan (ACL) sebagai bahan tambah terhadap kuat tekan, kuat lentur dan kuat geser pada beton. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental. Presentase penambahan ACL yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebesar 0%, 5%, 10% dan 15%. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan ACL dapat meningkatkan kuat lentur dan kuat geser balok, sedangkan pada hasil pengujian kuat tekan tidak ada peningkatan kekuatan beton. Adapun komposisi maksimum yang diperoleh yaitu pada penamabahan ACL sebesar 5% dan 10%.
