Abstract

This research focuses on strategies to improve the quality of education at Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School through a dormitory mapping program. The main purpose of this study is to analyze how the dormitory mapping program can improve academic achievement, shape character, and develop students' spiritual independence. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, where data is collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis from various related parties, including dormitory administrators, teachers, and students. The results of the study show that the dormitory mapping program has a significant impact on improving academic achievement, especially in difficult subjects such as mathematics and Arabic. In addition, the implementation of the curriculum in the dormitory has succeeded in shaping the character of discipline and spiritual independence of students through the habit of worship and daily activities. Structured extra-curricular programs also contribute to the development of non-academic skills such as technology and martial arts, which support the holistic development of students. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of structured dormitory management and the integration of educational programs that support holistic character and academic development. The dormitory mapping model implemented at the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School can be used as a reference for other Islamic boarding schools who want to improve the quality of their education.

Abstract

This study focuses on the application of the collaborative learning model, with the aim of analyzing how teacher dominance, limited facilities, and low student motivation affect the effectiveness of collaborative learning. A qualitative research approach with a case study method is used to explore the internal dynamics that occur in the madrasah environment. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis, which were then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify key emerging patterns. The results show that the dominance of teachers in student grouping inhibits the diversity of interactions required for effective collaborative learning. In addition, the limitations of facilities such as cramped classrooms and lack of technological aids exacerbate the situation, while low student motivation, influenced by external factors such as family support, poses an additional challenge in the implementation of this model. The implications of this study underscore the importance of improving teacher training, improving educational facilities, and a more holistic approach that involves families and communities in supporting collaborative learning. This research makes an important contribution to the development of more effective strategies in the implementation of collaborative learning in madrassas and similar schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of self-confidence and emotional intelligence on leadership effectiveness, with a particular focus on Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Ulum.  The research method used is a quantitative approach with survey design. The research sample consisted of leaders at MA Miftahul Ulum. The instruments used include questionnaires to measure levels of confidence and emotional intelligence, as well as surveys to assess leadership effectiveness from the perspective of subordinates. Data analysis was performed using linear regression to determine the relationship between self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and leadership effectiveness. The findings showed that self-confidence and emotional intelligence had a significant positive correlation with leadership effectiveness. Leaders who have high levels of self-confidence tend to be better able to make bold and informed decisions, while high emotional intelligence helps them understand and manage the emotions of themselves and their subordinates. The results of this study are relevant in the context of the leadership of the principal at MA Miftahul Ulum. Leaders with high confidence can make more strategic decisions in developing educational programs. In addition, high emotional intelligence helps leaders in creating a harmonious and supportive learning environment. The implications of this study suggest that leadership development programs at MA Miftahul Ulum should include training to improve leaders' confidence and emotional intelligence. This can help improve leadership effectiveness and overall educational performance.

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the effectiveness of academic guidance in supporting students' on-time graduation in higher education. The main objective of this study is to identify the factors that affect the success of academic guidance and how the interaction between academic advisors (DPAs) and students can be optimized to improve on-time graduation. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach, where data is collected through a questionnaire distributed to 31 students of the Education Management Study Program at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques, including Pearson correlation tests and simple regression. The results showed that academic guidance had a significant influence on students' on-time graduation, with factors such as frequency of interaction, personalized guidance, and psychological support from DPA playing an important role. Students who receive quality academic guidance are more likely to graduate on time compared to those who do not receive adequate guidance. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of developing more structured and personalized academic guidance programs in higher education, as part of education management strategies to improve the efficiency and quality of higher education
