Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of profitability, capital, and liquidity on Discretionary Financing Loss Provisions (DFLP) with bank size as a moderating variable in Islamic banks in Indonesia from 2016 to 2020. Using a quantitative method and moderating regression analysis with SPSS, the results show that profitability, capital, and liquidity have a positive and significant effect on DFLP. Bank size does not moderate the effect of profitability on DFLP but can moderate the effect of capital and liquidity on DFLP. The F test indicates that all independent variables have a significant simultaneous effect on DFLP, as evidenced by the Fvalue (5.169) being greater than the Ftable value (2.54) and the significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination test shows that the R² value in model 1 is 0.273, and in model 2, it is 0.561. This indicates that the R² value in model 1 is smaller than in model 2, proving that adding moderation has a weak influence.

Abstract

This study aims to design and evaluate a hybrid renewable energy system for rural areas in Western China. The region, comprising provinces like Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, and Xinjiang, faces limited access to modern energy infrastructure, with many areas still relying on coal-based power generation. The potential for renewable energy is substantial, with abundant solar, wind, and hydro resources. The main objective of this research was to develop a hybrid system that integrates solar, wind, and hydro power to create a reliable and sustainable energy supply while reducing reliance on fossil fuels and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. Using a combination of Experimental Design and Simulation Methods, we developed several scenarios incorporating various renewable energy sources and battery storage systems. These systems were tested in representative rural areas, considering local weather conditions and energy resource availability. The findings show that the hybrid system can efficiently meet energy demands, with system efficiencies reaching up to 92%, reducing energy costs and contributing significantly to CO2 emission reductions. Economically, the initial investment for these systems is high, but operational costs are low compared to conventional coal-based generation. The payback period is estimated at 6-8 years, making it a feasible long term investment. Environmental impact analysis demonstrates a potential 70% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to fossil fuel based power generation. The study concludes with several policy recommendations, including fiscal incentives to reduce initial investment costs, development of energy distribution infrastructure, and the implementation of training programs for local communities to manage and maintain renewable energy systems. These measures are essential to support the widespread adoption of hybrid renewable energy systems in rural areas of Western China and can serve as a model for other developing countries facing similar challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze gender representation on the covers of annual reports of companies listed in the LQ45 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Annual report covers are understood not merely as visual identities but also as organizational communication media rich in symbolic meaning, reflecting the company's values, culture, and commitment to diversity. The method used is descriptive qualitative with visual content analysis of 45 annual report covers selected through purposive sampling. Human elements are divided into six groups: individual men, men with men, individual women, women with women, women with men, and non-human illustrations, which are then calculated for frequency and analyzed using gender equality and organizational communication theories. The results show that men are more dominantly represented, both individually and in pairs with other men (31%), while not a single cover features women as a single figure. Representations of women appear more frequently alongside men (40%) and only 2.2% within the female group, while 26.6% of covers feature non-human illustrations. Men's positions tend to be depicted as symbols of authority and leadership, while women are positioned as supporting figures. These findings indicate a symbolic invisibility of women in corporate communications, in line with Role Congruity Theory and global research on gender bias. This reflects the persistence of patriarchal structures in Indonesian corporate culture and highlights the gap between diversity policies and symbolic representation. Practically, the absence of balanced gender representation in visual communications has the potential to undermine a company's legitimacy in the eyes of global stakeholders and diminish its contribution to the principles of equality and sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based car sales prediction system using the ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) model to support the optimization of marketing strategies in the automotive sector. With the rapid growth of the automotive industry in Indonesia, companies, particularly car showrooms, face the challenge of accurately forecasting vehicle demand. Therefore, an ARIMA-based prediction system can assist in estimating future sales based on historical data, thereby improving stock management, distribution, and marketing strategies. The system was developed using five years of historical sales data and implemented the ARIMA model to forecast car sales for upcoming periods. It was built with the Python programming language, employing Flask for the backend and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend. The prediction results are presented in the form of interactive graphs, enabling users to make data-driven decisions more effectively. System evaluation was carried out by measuring prediction accuracy using MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) and RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) metrics. The testing results indicate that the ARIMA model can generate predictions with a high level of accuracy, assisting showrooms in planning stock and promotional activities more efficiently. Furthermore, the system is equipped with a responsive user interface, making it easily accessible via mobile devices. This research contributes to the utilization of technology in sales planning, particularly in the automotive sector, by enabling more precise, efficient, and data-driven decision-making.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of streamer attractiveness (SA), content marketing (CM), hedonic shopping motive (HSM), and utilitarian value (UV) on impulsive buying (IB) in the context of Indonesian e-commerce live streaming. It also examines how UV moderates the relationships between these factors and IB. A quantitative approach was adopted, using purposive sampling of 209 respondents who had previously participated in live shopping broadcasts. Data analysis was performed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings show that SA, CM, HSM, and UV all have a significant positive effect on IB, with HSM identified as the most dominant factor influencing impulsivity. Furthermore, UV moderates the relationship between SA and IB, but does not significantly enhance the effect of CM or HSM on IB. These results suggest that emotional drivers such as enjoyment and attractiveness are key catalysts for impulsive purchasing behavior. However, functional product value still plays a strategic role in driving purchase decisions. The study emphasizes the need for a balanced approach in content strategy, combining both emotional appeal and functional information to maximize consumer engagement and conversion. Marketers are encouraged to integrate hedonic (emotional) and utilitarian (practical) elements in their offerings to foster impulsive buying behavior. Additionally, future research should explore longitudinal and qualitative methods to capture the evolving nature of impulsive buying behavior, as well as the deeper psychological mechanisms driving consumer decisions in live commerce environments. Such research will help further uncover the dynamics of consumer decision-making in online shopping and improve understanding of the broader implications for e-commerce strategies.
