Abstract

The purpose of this research was to provide an explanation of the first things to discover and explain the issue of sexual deviation as part of a Bible study. Second, to find and explain the factors that cause sexual deviation in society even though Allah only created men and women. This research is motivated by the author's concern with a phenomenon that exists in society, namely LGBT issues as something that is trending. Using qualitative methods in the form of interviews and literature studies, it was found that the family is the main person responsible for anticipating deviant sexual behavior in children. Parents are role models in spirituality who must instill the fear of God in their children, so that children find the correct self-image as God's creation, namely boys and girls. Families also need to provide proper education and encourage children to become future generations who make achievements and are proud of being children. The Bible must be the basic reference for spiritual education in the family. Keywords: family education, sexual deviation.

Abstract

People always crave harmony in their daily lives through harmony with God, others and other creatures. In order to maintain this harmony, in society, rules that should not be violated are passed down from one generation to the next. Taboo can be a means to develop the character of everyone in society. Unfortunately, in today's Toraja society, it seems that taboo is no longer being cared for. There is a lot of disharmonies with God, fellow beings, and other creations. Taboo is regarded as just a myth that does not make sense or the boast of parents to scare children into doing what their parents want. So, how can this taboo become a means of character building? By using a qualitative-descriptive method, it was found that taboo became a means of character education through strict enforcement in people's lives through the provision of strict sanctions, exemplary parents, habituation, and strict enforcement of taboo.

Abstract

This research wants to develop learning media for Sunday school children who seem conventional towards digital by using Book Creator. This development arose due to the need to keep up with the times, create child-friendly churches, and maintain the quality of teaching to Sunday school children. However, churches tend to be lacking in preparing the quality of Sunday school learning media. The author observes that these problems can be overcome by developing learning media that suit the needs of Sunday school children. By paying attention to the needs of Sunday school children inseparable from the principles of theology in it, book creators are very appropriate in assisting educators to prepare quality learning. The hypothesis proposed is the basis of children's theology on Sunday school teaching materials and developing book creator-based Sunday school children's learning media so that they can produce ready-to-use digital products. The results show that teaching materials tend to be good theologically, and teaching materials need to be developed into book creators, so that educators can improve competence and students can understand God's Word through the use of technology. In the development stage, product validation results based on material, media, and language experts showed an average of 87.6% with the category "very feasible". The methodology used is Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE) using qualitative and quantitative research in each specified stage.

Abstract

Efforts to deal with corruption crimes committed by the government against corruptors have been going well but have not produced optimal results as expected. The complexity of the corruption problem in Indonesia is not sufficient to overcome by relying solely on preventive and investigative strategies, but an educative strategy is also needed. The eradication of corruption requires multi-disciplinary, strategic, comprehensive, and simultaneous efforts. Therefore, one of the possible efforts to prevent corruption is to involve the formal education sector. This is the aim of this research. However, there is a challenge that so far, the national education system has been poisoned by elements of Collusion, Corruption and Nepotism (KKN). As a closed system, it is very easy for material and non-material corruption practices to occur. KKN practices that also occur in the body of the national education system, by itself has degraded the quality and lofty ideals of education, because the limited sources of funds are not enjoyed by many people. Using a qualitative method through a literature research approach, researchers observed that corruption prevention in formal education institutions can be done through two approaches. First, making students as the target in the form of improving the morals and personality of students, so as not only to produce humans who are intellectually intelligent, but also morally good. Second, using students to suppress the environment so that it is not permissive and easy to commit corruption, by providing enrichment materials that can encourage students to become perpetrators of corruption prevention.

Abstract

In the story of human creation written in the book of Genesis 2:4b-25, it is stated that the Lord God saw that it was not good for humans to be alone, so God made a suitable helper (ezer) for Adam. He created the woman from Adam's rib. Women were created by God as helpers equal to men. This states that women are not inferior to men, but to state that women are men's partners in carrying out the tasks and responsibilities that God has given to humans.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to discuss the concept of obedience in bringing about holiness and restoring relationship with God as taught in Leviticus 5:14-19 and its implications for Christian education. In Leviticus 5:14-19, there is a provision for guilt offerings that shows the importance of people's obedience in following God's rules as a form of repentance and respect for His holiness. Through sincere obedience and repentance, believers are restored in their relationship with God and return to a state of holiness before Him. In the context of Christian education, this principle can be applied to the development of students' character, where education focuses not only on academic knowledge but also on spiritual and moral formation. Learning about obedience and holiness emphasizes the importance of living a life of integrity, responsibility, and strengthening one's relationship with God. Christian education that integrates the theological understanding of Leviticus 5:14-19 can encourage learners to understand the importance of obedience as a path to holiness and to improve their relationship with God, and make it the basis for developing personal character based on Christian values.

Abstract

In this study, the researchers explore and contrast climate change awareness in the urban and rural populations by looking into their knowledge, perception, and engagement. Using a structured survey instrument, data were collected from 500 respondents irrespective of age gender location and with equal distribution. Results indicate awareness differences, with urban respondents being more informed on the causes of climate change than the rural respondents who were more aware of the effects in their immediate environment. From the results, it can be concluded that any attempts in marketing climate change strategies needs to be targeted to the respective areas of the two groups studied. This emphasizes how critical educational and outreach programs geared towards climate change issues in specific regions are.
